A few things to not forget

I needed a play day so we took off to South Town mall to play at the arcade....kids love it, but its a waste of money really!
Indoor soccer ended and our team ended up 1st! Way to go girls! Watching them improve every week makes it worth it!
For the first time ever, our worldwide church did a Kid to Kid event for the primary kids! There were fun songs, stories and activities. And a special message from the prophet. The kids were taught how to draw a child praying. Here are the kids...see if you can guess who's is whose.

And just for the record....our Jilly dog is 7 months old and HUUUUUGE!
She loves to lay in the sun right along with the kids.

Valetine's Day on the road

Mollie had a soccer tourny in St. George the weekend of Valentines so we loaded EVERYONE up, including the dog, and headed south.
The weather was nice and warm for Friday, but we knew it wouldn't last!
We had a team pizza party that I organized after the evening game. It was so nice to just relax and watch the girls play and enjoy food!

We got to our Air BnB late, but they had a cute little sign and treats for our dog upon arrival. The kids immediately ran to the back yard to run and play.  The host messaged us to let us know the back yard was off limits. We came inside totally bummed they couldn't play. Then the host came and knocked on our door and met us and our pup and said that if we were ok sharing the back yard (they lived downstairs) with them and their dog then we could play back there. We let the pups and kids meet and they all played very well!

Saturday's games were cold and rainy!!! It's SOOOOO cold when you are wet too!
We all came home and snuggled up and tried to get warm.

Valentines Day was on Sunday. The kids woke up to a few treats and we watched virtual church from our ward. One plus about this virus is the ability to watch our church from anywhere!

We loaded up a little later to go enjoy nature! We found Red Hills Desert garden to walk around and a few rocks to climb on. The sun was out and it was warm but the wind was chilly.

Cool little arch we found at Pioneer Park.
The kids really loved climbing on all the rocks. I was nervous trying to hang onto the dog and Rylee!
We of course ate ice cream...ICEBERG! YUM!

And we were so happy to get to hang out with the Maghauns while we were there. We got to play in their rec room that had pool and ping pong and the adults did horseshoes and giant shuffle board outside.

We then cooked tacos together and decorated Valentines cookies.

Monday morning we met up with the Phelps and her 2 kids and did a little hike to a river. It was so fun to see her and watch Carter and Mason slowly catch up.

On the way home we stopped at the Creamery in Cedar City and it was REALLY yummy. I usually don't love ice cream from creameries but this one was amazing. I also got cheese curds! YUM! Despite being freezing, we all really had a great time getting away and being together!

Brielle's Jr Jazz

I was so happy when Bri said she wanted to try basketball! Tooele didn't do a Jr Jazz program this year which made us sad so we searched around and found one in West Valley. She was so happy to try out her new purple basketball.
We talked the neighbor girl into doing it with her! They were so cute to watch and they had a lot of fun together!
For 1st and 2nd graders, instead of practice, they had a clinic before a mini game where they learned skills and warmed up together,
We of course had to wear masks as spectators. :(
Brielle really hustled and worked hard and really grew to love it.

At the end of the season she had made 3 hoops during the game! Watching her celebrate was the best part! She was so proud of herself! Now here we go into soccer!

Family Snow Day!

We took a family snow day and took off to Nordic Valley for the day! Rylee we don't think is ready so we made arrangements for her to stay home. The weather was PERFECT and we all stayed very warm. We hit the bunny hill while Carter headed for the big lift.
This magic carpet was very convenient! And Brielle was confident about trying something new!
Chad rotated between helping different kids and doing different runs with them when they felt ready.
I only saw Carter a few times when he'd collapse at my feet from being exhausted!
Mol went down the bunny hill once or twice and decided she was ready for the big stuff. She took off with Chad up the lift and she just bombed down the hill until she crashed. Then hopped up and went again! She even rode the lift a few times by herself.

Me and Bri stuck to the bunny hill the whole time. I escaped once to go on the lift and remembered why I didn't love it. The older I get the more fear I develop of falling. By the end of the day Brielle was going on her own and doing so well! She was excited to show dad all she'd learned.
Sometimes we just sat and laid in the snow! Its exhausting trying to move and help kids with all those layers of clothes on!
Gosh she's cute! And she was so happy the whole time and not scared at all!
There's C man with his camera on his helmet! He sure loves this sport!
It was a very fun day and we had a great time together! I'm glad I'm healthy enough and strong enough to be able to go and not even pay for it too bad the day after even though its been several years since I went snowboarding. Maybe I'll take up skiing....who knows.
