Early Anniversary Celebration

Chad worked on our actual anniversary this year, so we celebrated 18 years of marriage a little early, and the best way we knew how. We planned a whole day of excursions.

We started out at the temple doing sealings. It was a lovely, cool, clear day.
Then we headed to Ogden for a couples massage. It was pretty good! This statue in the corner scared me while I was undressing!
We had lunch at Spitz and did a little shopping.
And grabbed cheesecake to go for later in the evening.
We finished the night with dessert waffles with the kids for dinner. They sure know how to add the sugar!

Happy Anni love! Can't believe its been 18 years since we've said I do! I think our relationship has only gotten sweeter and happier and stronger in that time. I'm so glad we share similar dreams and hopes and desires. I love you and I'm so glad I made you pick me!

On our actual anniversary, Chad had some flowers and cookies sent to me. He's so thoughtful!

St George

While I was working for a few days at the meets Carter had some races going on so he stayed behind with me to attend them. I got off early enough to get over and watch his final race which secured him first place at the state race! I'm so glad I got to see him race. And I love seeing that smile when he does something he is proud of!
The next morning we found the Salt Lake express and headed to St. George. It wasn't the most comfy ride ever, but it got us there.
The fam picked us up and since it was sunday we went to the temple grounds to walk around.
That night Miss Ry bug caught a BUG! She was SO sick and puked TWELVE times through the night. Not much sleep was had by anyone. I felt terrible having to drag her around to the games and still not feeling well. She threw up a few more times at the game and I was dreading driving home. We decided to order dinner and get another B&B and stay another night. I was so glad we did. We all needed rest and she was feeling much better by morning.

The girls played AWESOME and also secured a number one spot at this tournament! I was so happy for them! They played extra amazing! Mol didn't score this game but had a hat trick in an earlier game.

The smiles say it all. WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

I'm so glad I could be there for it!

Candyland

I was asked to be in charge of our gyms gymnastics meet with a candyland theme! I was super excited to do it since I love candyland and also  - get paid to craft and decorate?! YES PLEASE! I was having alot of anxiety about it because of my thumb and it took me a lot longer to do simple things, but I was able to still do everything. And honestly, it probably is what helped heal me so quickly.

So from Dec-Feb my house was littered with candyland decor.
Here is how some of the decor turned out at the gym.

It was a ton of work, but super fun too. I'm glad I got to be involved and was able to do all that I did! I worked like 30 hours in 2 days, but it was well worth it. I was a little bummed that I was missing some of Mollie's tournament and so Carter and I hopped a bus to St George as soon as it was over and got to see Mol play in her championship game! More on that next!

Stake Valentines Dance - disco style

Our stake put on a fun Valentine's adults dance. It had a retro theme and Chad was a sport and dressed up with me. We got lots of comments on the costumes.
Cutest backdrop ever!

They gym was decorated and there was food and fun for all. They even taught a few dances and we learned quickly that dance instruction wasn't our thing. It still was a fun atmosphere!

We bailed out early and went to ice cream with the Maughans. My favorite of the night was line dancing!
