Hymas Campout

The Hymas campout is always full of excitement and this year was no exception. We had the boat and a camper packed up and we hit the road for lots of fun! The first night we hit up Maddox so no one would have to worry about cooking the first day.
Lots of boating was done and we even got Konnor out in the boat with us.

The Hymas men rocked cooking as usual and we did our fries and chicken strips again.

Poor Evelyn got some sort of flu bug and was SO sick the entire time. I felt so bad for her. Chad ended up taking her  to the ER for fluids in the middle of the night. Poor thing.
Wooo! This handsome cowboy stole my heart at camp!

Chuck coming in clutch with the snacks!
Ry bug is up!!!!
Grandma made it out for a little ride in the boat but didn't last too long.

These girls were so fun and cute.

Yummy Cafe Rio night featuring the Dudschus fam!
Followed by grandpa's scones!

It was a super great week! Minus the ER visits. (Kayson also ended up there!) Its always eventful with this group!

Clean up day at mom & dads

To help ease some of mom and dads worries before they left, we had a cleanup day for them at the house. The guys built the new mower and hauled stuff to the dump. The girls helped with some things inside.

We ended the work day with 4wheeler rides and a hot dog roast. Oh and sparklers.

We also scheduled a play day where we went to the park and played games and went over to the city pool to swim. It was a hot day so it felt lovely!

I'll miss these get togethers in the open country air when they are gone but I hope we get to enjoy them again soon.
When we left my mom said she found this letter from Rylee. Too cute!

Father's Day

Can we just appreciate that this picture shows what kind of dad Chad really is? He really has the girl-dad thing in the bag. How patient can he be?!
All he wanted was a wakeboard and to go boating. So thats what we did!

On Sunday, our ward pulled off an epic prank on the guys! We bought them all matching ties as a Relief Society and it was so funny to watch them all slowly realize they all had the same tie on!

They were good sports and it made for some good giggles!

We all love you Chad. You keep things fun and light and in control. You bring all of us happiness. Sure love you!

Dr. visits

When we got home from Idaho, we had some dr visits to get to.  We noticed Brielle just didn't seem herself and was randomly sick in the summer so we had her checked out.  Her O2 levels were really low and I could tell the nurse was concerned. Dr Rich gave her a breathing treatment and said if it helped, it was pneumonia and if it didn't it was asthma. He could hear wheezing in her chest. The conclusion was asthma! Poor thing. I'm wondering if it is more seasonal along with allergies.  Time will tell!

We also had to get Mollie's knee checked out. Xrays showed a deep bone bruise. One knee brace later and some pain meds and candy, she was doing pretty good. She took some time off of soccer to let it heal. Grateful it wasn't more! We did get her an MRI just to be sure.

Yellowstone Cup

Whew This was a tough tournament! We learned going into it we were playing up an age bracket and also that we'd be playing some travel teams! Oh man these girls had to work! Sadly, we lost most of the games and ended up with alot of injuries, including Mollie. She got her knee knocked backwards and went down in a lot of pain. Coach had to carry her off the field.  She was bummed she didn't get to play much in the last game and a bunch of family came see her. Tough luck.

she worked super hard and this pic was cute with her medal around her neck and passed out cold.

 Good fight Miss Mol!

Bear World and THE bear

Another bucket list item was checked off my list when we went to Bear World! They tell you before you go in, Dont honk, Don't stop, Don't reverse. Easy enough, right? HAH!

Anyway, at first it was amazing! There are hundreds of bears all around of every kind! I loved seeing them and they were fairly active since it was morning.
They were climbing, bathing, eating and doing all sorts of cute things!

And then this bear.....he walked right up to us! We didn't want to run him over, so of course we stopped. Mistake! We couldn't see the bear and we all of a sudden heard crunching and popping noises. Chad threw it in reverse but we still couldnt see the bear. All of a sudden, the bear stood up on its back legs and had his front paws ON OUR SUBURBAN! Chad again threw it in reverse and the bear went down. It was chaos in our car as we were all screaming and trying to figure out what to do. Rylee was on my lap in the front and she was trying to get down below me to hide! It was funny looking back but scary in the moment.
Chad had to drive off the path aways to get away from this bear and be able to keep moving! In the process he swiped our tire, bit our bumper and scratched the hood of our car. Chad was NOT happy. I thought it was hilarious.
After surveying the damage, we decided to go play at the theme park and ride some rides there. Not much we could do about it!
Ok, these baby bears are adorable! I want one!
There was also a petting zoo and Mollie made quick friends with a goat.
And deer.

After our experience I figured we better get a souvenir. I don't think we'll be forgetting this trip any time soon, but we needed to trinket to commemorate!
Here's the damage, scratch down the hood, teeth holes in the bumper and a slice in the sidewall of the tire. I think he was after all those yummy dead bugs on the bumper.
