mothers day

I sometimes forget that mothers day is about me now to because I have such a wonderful mother and I want to spend the day honoring her! I'm so grateful for my mom and all she has done for me over the years. I don't think I quite appreciated her as much as I should have until I was a busy mom myself. Sure love her!
Since I couldn't be with my mom, Chad and the kids spent the day treating me like a queen. Chad got this beautiful necklace for me with my birthstone at the top and each of the 3 kids down the side. I really love it!

He cooked me dinner and I picked out this yummy dessert at the store!
I got some cuddle time with Brielle
And a little grass plant from Carter that he grew himself at preschool with a little sign that read "hope you have a hair raising day!" So cute.

There's my dinner again!
The kids made the cutest mom books at church. Carter actually snuck out of class and pulled me out of relief society to ask me how old I was too write in the book. Made me laugh.
I was laying by Carter later that night and he was looking in his armpits and said "I hope I can have hair in my armpits someday like you do mom." Oh man!
That evening we got to group Skype with my whole familia even Adam in romania! It was the cherry on top of my day.
And this beauty showed up in my house a few days after mothers day. It's a bat height table with a leaf and 6 stools. The picture doesn't do it justice but it is huge! It makes our large kitchen look not so large but I still love it.
All together it was an incredible day. I'm so glad I have the opportunity to be a mom. It's the hardest most rewarding thing I have ever done and I'm so thankful for these the wild kiddos in my life.

5 months young

Can it really be that Brielle is 5 months old?! She us always so happy and such a good little baby. At her check up she was in the 84th percentile for weight and 30th for height. Sweet little thing is short and fat!

She loves to giggle at her siblings especially when they jump up down in front of her. She just started rolling from her back to front and any time we lady her down she immediately flips over. Then she cries because she us stuck. She hasn't figured out rolling the other way yet.

She is up only one in the night ave mastered crying it out to fall asleep within a few days.

We sure love her and the spirit she brings to our home. I hope the last half of her first year goes slower!

In case you wondered....

 It looks like a bruise

Or a birthmark (or a BOOK mark as Mollie likes to call it)

Or like she was wacked in the head by a sibling..

because it protrudes out of her head a little...
 BUT..
It's called a HEMANGEOMA. Its a cluster of blood vessels that didn't form properly.
AKA a strawberry birthmark that should disappear by the time she is 1 or 2.
I don't mind talking about it but I hate when people assume it is because she was hit in the head by me or the kids, or dropped. How sad! And I hate that people don't see her beautiful eyes or sweet smile before they see her birthmark. Natural instinct, I know. But instead of hearing Oh she's so cute, or What a doll..I hear - What did YOU do to her head?! That's when it bothers me.

But for now we will just keep showing off our beautiful little girl and correcting the rude people out there. She is so beautiful in my eyes and always will be.
We love our little strawberry kissed baby!

Springtime at Temple Square

One of my favorite things about moving to Utah is being close to Temple Square. I love taking my kids there and seeing them feel the spirit and ask questions about our Savior and the Temple. I almost love to visit it more in the spring when all the flowers are out and the weather is nice.
This time we took our kids through the museums and to see the Christis. We met some awesome sister missionaries who took us to see the new movie about The Family. It was incredible. I was so emotional for some reason and I really was touched by the Spirit about how important the family is.
I love this picture of Carter looking at Christ. I hope he always looks to Christ in all things.
 LOVE!!!

I hope to one day see all my kids be married in the temple. Carter & Mollie constantly said they were going to get married in the temple.
Such beautiful flowers!! AND kiddos too!

A nice lady gave the kids some pennies to throw in the pond. They were so happy!
Me and my love. So glad that he was able to take me to the temple and that our marriage is eternal.
Mol wanted to stop and smell EVERY flower. There are so many there I'm pretty sure that would be impossible, but she sure tried! The kids loved this trip and ask every day to go back. It was such an awesome experience I think we will sometime soon!

T-ball & gym"netflix"

Recently we became very busy! Carter started Tball in addition to soccer! We are at the ball park tues-thurs and sat every week! Kind of intense for a 5 year old but that's what happens when you think that Tball is a summer thing. It is not...its totally a spring thing.
Nonetheless, he has loved it and it has been fun watching him develop new skills.

Mollie has been loving gymnastics! AKA gym NETFLIX as she calls it.She is so flexible it is unreal!

She's always moving too fast for me to ever get a good picture of her but here are a few, Love her big smile!
