Mom break with dead animals

My brothers and I tired to go to the Animal Bodies exhibit last year but it got cancelled so as soon as it opened, we ran off to go see it! I realized that this was going to be my last free weekend for a while since all our sports are starting back up! This is the face of a mom who is ready for a break!!!!
We first ate at Olive Garden and then went to the exhibit.

Simply amazing at God's creations and the talented people who can do dissections like this for the purpose of science.

My favorite was this cross section of a camel. They are so amazing!
And it wouldn't be a Reed gathering without ICE CREAM! We hit up Reeds Dairy and enjoyed some treats! Then I shopped my way home and enjoyed a quiet car ride. I'm sure glad for these siblings of mine that we can geek out and do fun things together. I sure enjoy being with them!!!!

Finally, Brielle's Party!

Brielle waited very patiently for her birthday party to be able to happen. Covid ruined her plans and when it was finally here she was so stoked! She wanted a spa party with a few of her closest friends. We made lots of treats and cupcakes and did spa things!

We tried face masks which the girls hated! HAHA but they  had a good time laughing at each other.

But they loved the foot soak and fancy drinks. We softened our lips using tape and slathered up in smelly good lotion.

Then we played spin the bottle with nail polish! Everyone left with a colorful mani!

Happy Birthday baby girl!!! Sure love you!

Science Fair

This year when the science fair came around I took more of a backseat spot and let Carter and Mollie, who got to work together, formulate a plan. They came up with seeing which soda would dissolve a candycane the quickest. Pretty simple, fun project and it didn't require a bunch from me! WIN!

We checked them every few minutes for about half an hour and learned that the winner was.....
SPRITE!
They actually got to present them at the school and parents could come see them all. It was the first time parents have been allowed back in the school since last March!

Camas

We needed a winter escape so we took off to Camas for the day. We wanted to try finding some snow in park city to sled, but there was NONE to be found! It's been a weird warm January. But the kids love to swim here and I can sit in the hot tub and watch them.

It took a while, but Bri and Ry were both talked into (Ok, bribed with ice cream) to go down the water slide by them selves. And once they did it, they went a whole bumch of times! Bri is turning into quite the water bug!
Carter just did his own thing and went back and forth from the slide to the diving board.

Mollie also went off the high dive! She's getting to be a good swimmer also!

Theeeen we came home and bought 27 POUNDS of Chocolate covered cinnamon bears!

2 funerals and a baptism

After hearing all the hard news, we were off to Idaho! Luckily, we were already planning on going to see Ashton get baptized! It was an early morning trip, but Jilly was thrilled to get to join us!
Its crazy 8 years have passed since this cute boy was born! He was so ready for this day and it was a really special one! Different because of covid, but surrouned with family and love.

The men who gave him the Holy Ghost.

Then we headed to Pocatello to stay the night with Chelsey's family but she called on the way there and said one of their kids puked so we ended up getting a hotel in Pocatello so we could go to Don's funeral the next day.
The room was super sweet! It had 2 bedrooms and 2 couch beds. We were very comfy and all slept very well!!

Don's funeral was freezing and sunny. He was honored by the US Army with a 21 gun salute and presented a flag for his service. He was burried out in Snake River then we went to Mike's for a nice lunch.

It was good to see this side of the fam that I rarely get to see. Tough weekend with lots of happy and sad moments. But getting to be with family made it much much  better!
