October

Mollie's season ended and they ended up earning 3rd place. They had a really great season.

Carter's football season is still going strong. We got his pictures back and I was blown away at how handsome and grown up he looks!

We had some record storms this month with some of the craziest rain I've ever seen. Our roads in town were completely flooded. I've never seen anything like it! But with the storms came some awesome rainbows! I was so glad we weren't one of the many houses that were flooded!
And look at this well trained pup! I filled the candy bowl and she just sat there looking at it...her nose, inches away. HAHA! But she never got into them. What a good girl she is! We love our Jilly dog!

Reed Party

With Justin's family in town we tried to plan some get togethers...our covid and some bad weather ruined the plans we had made but we decided to just make the most of it at moms. Chad and the big kids stayed home, still in quarantine, but me and the littles took off to enjoy the day.
Many games were played.

And cute cousins were everywhere!
Love having meals around this table with people I love alot! I really enjoyed the weekend!

Mollie's Birthday!

Can't believe Mollie is 11! She finally made it out of quarantine and was able to go to school on her birthday. I think the kids were VERY happy to all go back to school. We had had her party planned for the 2nd but our quarantine wasn't quite over so we rescheduled it for the 16th. Chad and Carter came down with covid though so her party got pushed back even further to the 22nd! I felt bad but we had to do what we had to do.

On her birthday night she wanted Marcos pizza and coldstone so thats what we did and we just hung out.

We opened presents right after school!

When her party finally came around, we had a fidget party! Fidgets are all the rage right now. Here is my attempt at a figet pop it game. Each balloon had a fidget in it.
The girls made their own fidgets.
And ate nachos. We were so happy Justin's family was in town and could join us for the party.
She didn't want cake so we had our famous brownie trifle. Good times and yummy food!
Mol & Haidyn. Wish they had more time together.
And with a fidget party, you get lots of fidgets! Holy smokes girl, you have wayyyy to many!
We sure love this girl and all that she has accomplished in her 11 years. She makes good choices and is dependable and a good helper around the house. She works hard at soccer and is excelling in her Portuguese language. She is turning into a beautiful young girl and I can't believe she'll join young womens in Jan! Sure love you Mol!

Quarantine

Well we had lots of time to kill so i thought it was the perfect time to get some projects and organization done! I painted a bed for Rylee and started going though lots of things to have a yard sale in a few weeks.
We enjoyed our fire pit more...
And wore masks...
I couldn't taste anything but this tart lemonade was sour and the cheetos were hot so I lived off of them. It made me feel like I could taste.
Mollie baked bread and cookies.
Chad finished this awesome garage storage for us! Its so great!
Rylee lost some teeth and kept the tooth fairy busy.
And hiked!!!

Covid caught us

I was finally feeling better after my bought with bronchitis towards the end of sept. Chad was off for the morning one day so we went for a walk. I was so relieved to finally be able to breathe and feel well. I came home and felt like my body needed some vegetables so I made myself a big plate of my favorite ranch and chopped up veggies. I plopped down on the couch to enjoy it.

First bite...hmm didn't taste like much....a few more bites... and I realized I could NOT taste the ranch! I immediately dug through the pantry tasting anything i could to see if I really had lost my taste. I was freaking out! We had Mollies birthday party coming up and a family party coming up so I thought I better go get tested for Covid. It couldn't be positive, right?! WRONG!

A few hours later I learned that I had covid. I was so unhappy! It was a friday. I knew the kids wouldn't be allowed to go back to school for a while so i let the finish out the rest of their day. Later in the day we took all the kids to get tested. I forgot to say that the night before that Mollie had been feverish and not feeling well and saying she couldn't taste much. I was sure she would be positive.

We all went together to get tested and we were 3 for 3. Chad, Carter, and MOLLIE were negative! Bri, Ry and myself were positive. As we figured out what to do and canceled parties, performances (the girls cheer performance - we all cried when I told them they couldn't go), meetings, work, games and so much more...Chad was told to still come to work since he was negative and vaccinated. So i knew i couldn't go in quarantine. We had to just keep living our life. The kids were told to stay home for 10 days. I had been dreading it but it was actually kind of nice.

We got out the best we could and the canyon was our friend! We went through several days of doing nothing. Towards the end of our quarantine, Chad lost his taste. We took everyone again to get tested. After about 7 days me and the girls tested negative. But now Carter and Chad were positive!!!! :(
We had a surprise party planned for my moms 60th birthday and we had to make the choice to miss or cancel. Since I couldn't go anywhere i drove all the party things and food up to idaho and met my brother to pass off all the stuff. We missed the party but joined through zoom for a bit.

Darn covid has ruined so many things! But i'm so thankful it hasn't impacted my family the way it has some families. It really makes me appreciate holidays and family alot more!

I don't know where we picked it up but I'm glad we are covered for a bit and can maybe relax from it. Life goes on and after about 20 days at home (split up between chad and I) we are all finally covid free. I still really wonder about Mollie....i'm sure she had it. But we have no proof of it! So who knows!
