Thanksgiving

We had thanksgiving in Idaho this year and we were able to hit both homes. We woke up thansgiving morning to a puking Brielle....we didn't know if we'd be going but by about noon she was feeling better so we went on to Moore. My phone died in early Dec so I lost a lot of pictures, but we did enjoy a nice belated dinner in Moore. We got to play games with Chelsey and her kids at G&G Hymas's. It was so fun!

Then we traveled to Rupert for another T-day dinner on Fri! The cousins all played together so cute.
And you can't get together with the Reeds and not have some shenanigans...so we tried to get the kids to do a table challenge where you lay on each persons stomach in a square and try to stand up....
Then, the adults couldn't resist the challenge themselves so we had to try it....it was absolutely hilarious! Oh the laughter....I had pains from laughing and almost lost my bladder!!
And no, we were never successful.
We did puzzles and played many games and played outside too.

Happy thanksgiving!! I am so grateful for family and that we are fairly close and we can spend one holiday between 2 families. It sometimes seems like a burden, but it really is a blessing.

Mesquite for FOOTBALL

Usually when we travel south it is for soccer but this time it was for Carter's football tournament! The weather was perfect...light jacket weather and lots of sunshine!!

Mollie was glad for once she got to play at the playground.
We stayed in St. George so the drive through the Gorge is always beautiful!
Carter played so well his first game and had several tackles. I was so proud of him! But sadly they lost their first game 0-6.
Football was mixed with lots of playing too! We went to the aquatic center which was awesome until some kid pooped in it...and we had to get out. But after they cleaned it up we had some more play time.
My cute sleepy heads in our Air BnB. It was a cute little house...the heater went out the first night so the owner brought us heaters. We stayed cozy warm.
One team we played had huge linemen! Look at the size difference! Our boys played so hard!
Some cute boys against the red rocks.
I was extra proud for when game 2 Carter was picked to be captain! The kids were told whoever played hard would be captain. YAY CARTER!
We also lost game 2...6-13. But it was really a fun game. After that we were done in the tournament so we went and did a little hiking around Pioneer Park again. The kids really like exploring there.

Nature here is so amazing. I found myself pondering about the formations and how they were made over and over again.
We also hit up Thunder Junction and let the big kids ride the scooters around town. They were a good time.
We will be back in a few weeks for soccer but it was fun to experience the football side of things. I'm proud to be with the Stallions!!

Chad turns 39

For Chads birthday I wanted to do something different. I was looking into Axe throwing and found FOOTBALL BOWLING! I figured we should give it a try. We took Eash's along with us and we really had fun! You don't have to be good at throwing a football and the bad throws actually made it funner!

Then on to Axe throwing....it took a few tries but chad & sam caught on quickly. I took a few more tries to get it but after moving to a softer board....
i nailed it!!!

We love our E friends!!

We did gifts and trifle once Chad made it home. We sure love this guy! Enjoy your last year in your 30s!!

The TREE!

With our trip to NV coming up I wanted to get the tree up before we went. Chad let me put it up the day before his birthday. I was worried about my tall tree fitting but it fit pretty well. I had to use a ladder since I no longer had the convenience of going up the stairs to decorate the top of it!
The girls were really into helping, but the boys mostly watched.

I really love how it turned out and that i thought of using the door hanger Kaycee gave me for a tree topper! I love everything about it!!

Football banquet

Carter's season ended mid nov but he was so glad that he got to keep practicing a few more weeks so that he could go to a tournament in Mesquite. It was fun seeing him play around in the gym with his new friends.
Each kid was called up and given an award. Carters coach gave him the Mr. Comeback award. He talked about how he had to miss so much for having covid but when he got to come back he came back stronger and was better. It was so sad that he missed a good month of practice and games.
Here's the team. He's made some good friends and learned so much. I appreciate kids coaches so much these days. They can either deter them or encourage them and these coaches have definitely been an asset to Carter.
The team moms sure do alot!
And he also got a football with his name on it. Pretty sweet Carter-man!
