Tonsils are the pits

 P
oor little Bri has struggled this year with strep throat several times. I've been sure they needed to come out but no one would give us the go ahead. As you can see there is no open space back there at all. Her tonsils completely fill the back of her throat! SAD!! She snores and is such a restless sleeper. When she talks she sounds like she has a golf ball in the back of her throat.
I'm blogging a little bit out of order, but she got it again in April and I went ahead and scheduled with an ENT at Primary Childrens. I took her to Dr Rich to get some medicine not thinking he would agree they needed out again. He took one look and said wow those things need out! PHEW! I was so grateful. And he got us into a doctor sooner than Primarys could. And probably cheaper too!! She is scheduled for June 4th to get those ugly things out!!!!

But Bri doesn't slow down too much when she's sick and was quite delighted that Mollie wanted to be matchers even though Bri had to miss school. Cute sisters!!! She was excited to have a rest day and just play. Hooray for a healthier future!!

President's Day Cup

I was excited to get out of this snowy weather and head south for some warmer weather for a soccer tournament in St George! We loaded up the kids and packed their tablets with movies since our car DVD player decided to die and off we went!!!
We made it down there in time to drop some things off at Tony's and get dressed for the game. It was actually really chilly for the first game and I think we won it (Can't remember). On the way home we ran into this beauty! Zombie hunts! Wow! You can shoot "zombies" in a field with paintball guns from the bus. Hilarious!
I got lots of cuddle time with little mister Roman. Well not really because he is mobile and moving everywhere! But we had fun playing!!
And the kids had fun wrestling and playing with Ashton too! He's growing up so much.
The next morning was ALSO chilly!! Mollie was picked to be the captain for the game. Sadly it was a close one and with some bad calls from the ref, we lost. Bummer!! I hate when unfair calls are made and it costs the girls so much! Coach was a little upset after that one.
Game 3 was some warmer and we won 7-0! Mollie had 2 awesome goals. We had to wait to see how the other teams did to know if we were in the tournament.
 So we ate pizza
and ran around enjoying the tiny bit of sunshine we could get.

That night we spent it with Tony & Monse. A friend of theirs was having her quinceanera! We decided to tag along for the fun and the food!! The littles were so excited for a photo opp with the "princess!"

After a yummy meal then started the dancing! Ashton and Bri weren't afraid to get the party started!

Tony was so cute and danced with all the kids too.

Chad and I got out to boogy a little too. We like to dance but had never danced to hispanic music before and didn't really know how! But it was still fun!
Sunday we went to Tony's spanish branch and enjoyed ourselves there. Later we went swimming with our Eastman friends at their grandmas RV park. Good times!

We went back to Tony's for some YUMMY tacos. We switched Carter for Lola and agreed to meet up later to switch back. The switch would be made at MENCHIES! YUMM!!! So good frozen yogurt and all the toppings you could want! We snuck Ashton out with us to get him a sugar high!
We learned early monday morning we were beat out by 1 point to be in the championship game. BUMMER!!!!! And even worse, we woke up to SNOW!!! IN ST GEORGE!!! WHAT THE HECK!? So much for a sunny get away! There was enough snow for people to make snowmen! St George hasn't seen snow in years and of course the weekend we are there it decides to snow. LAME! Mollie's face will tell you how we all felt about it!

After a little shopping and lunch at a very soccer player crowded Chick-fil-A, we hit the road back to Tooele! It was nuts. Snowy, slow traffic, and so so busy. It took quite a while to get out of there. We really did enjoy the trip and were so grateful to Tony and their hospitality. We love spending time with them.

Valentines DAY!

The kids always look forward to making and giving their Valentines. First up, was Brielle's party! They decorated cookies and played games and passed out Valentines. Bri was so excited!

On Valentines morning a few gifts and treats were left out for the kids. But someone wasn't feeling well ...bet you can't guess who!

The kids spent lots of time making their boxes. Mollies was glittery and beautiful and Carter put so much effort into his Valentines box. We were both so sad he couldn't go to school on V-day. Since I was helping at the school anyway I took his box in so he could still get his treats. They both got plenty as usual!

My little Valentine Girls. <3 p="">
We capped the night with the traditional alfredo and garlic bread with sparkling cider.
Love my little valentines of mine and my man who loves me unconditionally. He's pretty good to me and I love how he loves all of us in the ways we need it. Happy Valentines Day!

Longest winter

This winter has been SNOWY and cold and long. I think we got more snow this year than any year we have lived in Tooele. So much that it makes people angry instead of happy it is snowing....yet again! I even got stuck one day and had to leave the car there on the side of the road until Chad could come get it. Luckily we have been staying busy and warm in our home. Little Ry is just so fun to watch play. She has been very into playing doctor on all her dolls and animals. She is the cutest.

Thank heavens for my awesome step ladies who keep me going in the cold of winter! They are champs and many of them show up religiously and make my Tuesdays the best!

Too many snow storms this year have looked like this!

Which results in a lot of this. Carter wore out our little heater this winter I think! This is his favorite cozy spot.
The trek to the neighbors becomes quite a trek with this much snow and this much gear to get on!!

My little shoppers keep me plenty of company too when we just have to get out of the house! Love my girls, but I'm creating little shopping monsters who love it as much as I do!

Please spring come soon!!!
