Opening Soccer Season

Every year they have an opening season party to kick off soccer. This year Leo the Lion from REal SLC was there! There's Mollie and Paisley!
She got to meet a player from the team too. And get his autograph and some swag.
Carter wasted no time going to the rock wall.

 He did pretty good too!

I was home doing a massage but it was a good place for the kids to go to get out of the house!

Creamsicles

By the end of August, soccer was in full swing again! We let Rylee try out soccer for her first time. He team was named the Creamsicles!! And man were they cute.
She was not afraid of that ball at all and is really good at dribbling it!

She was so much fun to watch play! And she said her soccer bow made her super fast!

 Cutest little team ever!!

She scored several games through the season and really enjoyed playing! She always calls herself the soccer girl! We loved watching her play!

First Day of Kindergarten

Finally, it was Brielle's first day of school! She waited very patiently and attended her kindergarten tea a few days before school started. She got to meet Ms Moore who has been teaching for 30 years and is retiring this year. Carter also had her as a teacher. We stopped Ms Moore for a picture!

A unicorn dress and purple shoes is what she chose to wear on her first day. She wants to be a teacher when she grows up. The girls have had plenty of practice playing school over the summer.

I was worried about these 2 being separated because they are such good buddies and are used to playing all day every day together.
Lots of hugs were given before she left and Rylee seemed to actually enjoy some down time and some 1 on 1 time with mom.

Bri wasn't scared at all and walked down the hall confidently ready to start this new adventure! No tears fell from either of our eyes but I know I had a few welling up in mine.
She immediately found Jordan who is in her primary class at church.
She hung up her bag and found her seat and was excited to see all the fun things in class.
I picked her up a few hours later and she was still smiling and loved her first day! Although she did NOT like leaving Bear Bear at school over night for teddy bear week. She brought him home the next day.
I love this happy, confident, friendly girl and I know that school will be a happy place for her.

Zoo Date!

With my big kids back in school and gone all day,  and Bri about to start school, it really got me thinking about how short time is with my kids when they are little. I mean 5 years seems like a long time, but a 5 year old is still pretty young. I decided I needed to go play with my girls! So we loaded up and went to play at the zoo!!
These girls love animals and they really did enjoy seeing all the animals.

The zoo has really upgraded the last few years and now has a fun park and a splash pad! We noticed some poop near the splash pad so we didn't stay there too long.

My little birds, about to leave my nest.

They had a recycling theme going on and had lots of displays made out of things pulled from the ocean that could and should be recycled!
Of course we had to hit the merry go round.

And the animals were pretty active since it was starting to cool off a bit. We really had a fun day just us 3 being together. Rylee does NOT like to walk much so I need to remember a stroller for her next time! I sure love my littles (and my bigs) But as my life is entering a new stage i find myself clinging to the last moments with my little girls. They grow so fast and soon won't be interested in things like this. I hope to do better at realizing how young my kids still are and being the best mom I can to them!

Back 2 School! Back 2 School!

Wow the summer went by SO fast! I felt happy with how much fun we packed in this year and was good and ready for them all to go back! 5th for Carter and 3rd for Mollie. It's so weird because I very vividly remember my 3rd grade year and alot from my 5th grade year too. It doesn't seem so long ago!

Carter's teachers are Mr Beckstead and Professora Vittorazzo
Mollie's are Mrs. Erickson and Professora Reis

 Back to Sterling Elementary!

Mollie let me walk her to class, but Carter took off with out me. I went and tracked him down for a picture anyways!

Every year I hope for the same. They they will have good experiences with their teachers, learn, and make good friends. I pray every day that their schools will be safe and that they will make good choices. This world is getting more scary all the time and you just never know anymore what will or could happen to them at school. Sure love these smart, good kids. I know they will do great things with their lives!
