LASTS...

This week was full of lasts for all of us! Last day of school, last day at sterling, last day of firetrucks spraying the kids, last days with this PTA group I've grown to love....it was hard. I'd be lying if I didn't tear up a little. While I know we will still run into our friends, it was just different not knowing how the next school year would go. We were very comfortable at Sterling and there were several factors pointing us to move schools to Rose Springs. I think the kids were more on board that I was, but we took a leap of faith and switched all 3 girls to a different Elementary in Stansbury. 

All these lasts made my heart swell. Here's what I captured from field day and the last day of school. 

This group of friends has been a strength for Mollie. They are all cute and have brought her alot of joy over the years. I hope she can stay in touch with all of them! I love them all!

I'm a believer that when one door closes, another one opens. So here we are looking forward to the future with faith! I know these awesome kids will excel where ever they go. Goodbye Sterling! We have so many great memories here!
 

Carter messaged me on the last day of school and said he wanted to walk to Maverick with some friends. I ran him so money so he could get a treat. I went to pick him up a little later and found that he did go with some friends.....ALL GIRLS! But they are cute! 

And we went to the park with some friends to celebrate and they climbed a tree to hang out. Bring on summmmmmer!!!!!

Night Lights Festival

Every year my cheerleaders work this festival as a fundraiser. It was super intense for a little bit as we checked in every person and had them sign waivers. At 930 I tried to break away to go feed my kids dinner. It was so packed we waited an hour in line for burgers and hot dogs. Not my idea of fun. But then we got to get a lantern kit and light one up! 

it was harder than I thought and with the wind it was hard keeping the flame lit. 

We all wrote things on it.

And then lit it up to fly away! It took more than I thought it would but eventually we got it to go up!

It seriously is a magical feeling seeing all the lights around you! 

Look at them all! We lit ours off and watched for a few minutes, then got out of there to beat the crowd. We watched them the whole way home though and it was incredible. It sort of made up for the crappy time taking tickets!

the kids want to go again... I don't know if I do, but really it is quite magical!
 

Fest Junina

Our last festa Junina was a few days before the end of school. The girls all had a certain look they had to go for. Mollie had to wear a floral dress with braids and freckles. 

Rylee was supposed to be one of Ol McDonald's farm animals so we quickly came up with a dog costume. 

I guess I kinda missed the memo...just her face was supposed to be like an animal and she was to wear plaid...oh well....we got it done. They were the cutest performance!

Bri needed bright things in her hair and flowery things. They all did great too!

Mollie's dance was so cute. She had some boys in tears over who was going to be her partner...but it all got worked out. She was picked to be one of the leaders for the dance and did so well!

I totally love that our kids get to learn about and experience another culture! The kids all did art too and it was decorated around the school. Unfortunately the sprinklers ruined some of them! 

 What a fun day! i'm proud of my kids and the effort they have put into this program!

Mollie-O

Mollie's team had quite the season and finished as the D1 CHAMPS! They lost only 1 game in 18 games. Here's some of their accomplishments.

-Elite FC tournament Champs

-Rage FC gold bracket tournament champs

-D1 spring season champs

I'm so glad she has thrived with soccer and gained a love for a sport. Her buddy Zhane Baker has made it to a few games and she gets all giggly and giddy when he's around. 

She was also awarded player of the week in May. Here's what her coach said about her. 

"Mollie played a really good game today from start to finish. She closed down on the outside backs and stopped them from building up. In the second half she had quick pressure adn was able to win the ball in the attacking half to start the counter attack. She had quick crosses that were right on track adn Macie was able to finish one of them. (i'm still not convinced she was off side.) Congrats Mollie!"

They had a dad and daughters game to finish the end of the season. It was quite hilarious and I know that some of those dads walked away with some injuries. If I remember right, the girls won! I brought popcorn for the sideline and we enjoyed the show!

No mercy was given and some of the dads looked like this by the end of the game.  Mollie even had cleat marks in her leg from one of the dads!

We sang to Cameron since his birthday was the next day. We are so grateful for him. We wouldn't have what we have without him.

And Mollie is loving young womens! They always do fun activities and she comes home so excited and happy. The leaders put on a spa night for the girls and did nails and facials and pedicures one night. How cute is this set up? I thought it was a real spa table but it was just a flat table with some pillows and comfy blankets!

 

Ry-buggie

Little Ry bug also had her first field trip and I got to go on it with her. They walked to the train museum with her 1st grade class. There were so many cute activities for them to do and they all had a really great time. Here she is mining a cookie by picking out the chocolate chips and being careful not to break the cookie. Then they got to eat it. 

Field trips are tough on littles and she was so tired and grouchy by the end of the day. 

She continues to bring the sweetest spirit into our home and as I walked past her room one day I caught her praying by her bed so I had to capture the moment. Sure love her!

She also had a successful soccer season. She won some and lost some but had fun doing it! She always still smiles as she chases the ball down and is so excited to play. 

And that medal is everything to kids that age! Good Job Rylee! We are so proud of you! 

 

Brielley-Bean

Brielle has excelled at cheer! She has loved being a part of a team. She is strong and really good at what she does! It's been fun to watch her little team progress. They had several competitions through the spring and this was my favorite one and the best they did! 

She also played in her last soccer games in may. Her little team improved so much and learned so much through the year. Brielle got 2 goals this spring and I don't think there were many other goals scored all season. But man, from the begining to the end of the season, this team for sure wins most improved! Here they are getting their medals from William Ogilvie, their coach. 

We loved being on the same team as Brightyn!
