Christmas Day!

The kids all slept together in Brielle's room and we threatened them if they woke us up before 5 they would be in big deep trouble. I think Carter was up at 3 still but he didn't wake us up! The kids were of course thrilled and went straight for their stockings!

Santa spoiled them!

All the loot!

Carter got a go-pro type camera and was very anxious to try it out on his new bike despite it being really cold!
The rest of the day we just laid around and played and ate and called family and stayed in our PJs. But Rylee wore her new leo most of the day!
Brielle couldn't wait to go out and try her new basketball!
And Ry was just content to sit and play ice cream. She is so darn cute.
Happy Christmas Sunday!

Sisters in new dresses!

The puzzle I got for Christmas was really fun!
And Mollie wrapped up with the dog in her new electric blanket.
We felt very fortunate this year in all the gifts that were given and gifted. We had a really amazing year of being able to afford all the things when needed right when we needed them and to have a really nice christmas on top of that. We feel so blessed!

No Snow Christmas Eve

This year did NOT feel like Christmas eve because of the weird weather! See out the window? The sun was shining and it was 44 degrees on Christmas Eve. So weird. And we had ZERO snow in sight. But we still did our traditions of sugar cookies!

And Fondue!

And PJs!

This year since we had given them their Christmas PJs early for our family pictures we let them open sleds. The plan was for them to get to use them on Christmas break but that didn't happen!

And this dog ate SIX sugar cookies. She learned how to get up to the counter and she ate santas cookies! Luckily we caught her and there were still a few left. Dang dog! She also got into half a bag of chocolate candybars and spent the days after christmas puking up foil wrappers! UGH!
It's a darn good thing she's cute!
And like clockwork, Santa came! A bike for C, an Echo for M, a Doll for Bri and an ice cream set for R! And a big boat tube for all of them!
Chad scored boat speakers and i got shelves!
And Jilly got a nerf gun that shoots balls.
Chad had breakfast made all ready to go for in the morning (cinnabon cinnamon rolls!) YUM.
And we were spoiled by our neighbors! We had so many goodies and treats we really didn't need to make any for ourselves!
IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!!

Santa's Helpers

I wanted to get Christmas done early this year, just in case. These days you never know if the store is going to be open from one day to the next or if you'll be in quarantine tomorrow! So while we were healthy I was determined to have it really close to done. By Thanksgiving it mostly was done and I just had a few loose ends to tie up.

We got word that a family in our ward needed help with Christmas and that a generous man in the ward offered to give $500 so the kids could have a christmas. But he was too old to do the shopping and was unsure of what to get. Bishop asked for some ideas from me since we have the same age of kids. I jokingly said I'd love to do the shopping too! And then I had a job! Christmas shopping for a family of 7! WOW! But we involved our kids and listened to their ideas and they got to help shop.

We all agreed that Bishop should be the delivery man and so I had everything bought and wrapped and ready to go by the 23rd. We also bought some food so they could have a nice dinner. It was so fun and I was SO glad our shopping was done so I could focus on this family. I know they were grateful and I hope they enjoyed their presents! It was so fun to be on Santa's team for this!

Skating

We love Classic Fun Center and so we hopped at the chance to go with friends! All the kids do pretty well on skates now so I can go and have fun skating too!
Rylee was just loving it and rotated from skates, to her scooter and to the hoover board.

Sean was having a hard time on 2 skates so he took one off and rode the other one like he was on a skate board! Then he had it down!
A dance party ensued in the middle and the kids had a blast dancing!

Me and Janna! I'm so thankful for this friendship that we and our families share! We love the Farris Fam!
