Jilly is ONE

We moved in on the 20th of July and Jilly's birthday was the 21st! As we stumbled around boxes and tried to pry open our tired eyes, we presented Jilly with a treat basket for her birthday! 

I found a HBD cookie at the pet store so I had to get that for her. And the big bone she really wasn't too impressed with. 

Man, she is a spoiled doggie! 

And whenever I have popcorn you know she won't be far away! Silly girl!

Birthday cupcake that was torn to shreds in no time. She is so good about not ruining anything but if she is given a stuffed toy, she really goes crazy ripping it up! 

And this is how she is found most of the time, sprawled out on the floor, not very lady like. 

Jilly has won ALL of our hearts and is even getting a little closer to being friends with Carter. She has been the perfect dog for our family and we love her SO much. I think she is a little lonely since we moved but she has a golden doodle boy friend right next door she will get along great with. Happy birthday Jilly-dog! You sure have made our family complete!
 

Hello 1202 Providence Way

We had one last get together with ice cream with our neighbors the night before we left our house. Kaycee made this adorable wreath as a going away gift. Cue more tears! At this point, I've cried so much over every little thing I can't cry anymore! When we spoke in church I knew I'd be emotional but I had already cried every Sunday for a month before that. So I knew Chad would have a hard time and he did. We sure have loved our ward and neighbors but believe there is something pulling us to this area in Overlake and we are hoping to give our kids the best chance at having a happy childhood and keeping them on the right path. 

This cute sign was also left as a gift from the realtor. Here we go into OUR NEW HOME! 

As promised, Alex delivered on the goods! There were baskets of goodies and even a basket for Jilly pup. 

Lots of cleaning supplies, s'mores and house supplies were gifted to us. 

Alex stocked the deep freeze with SO many popsicles. She was so good to us! 

In the garage we found a new GAS FIREPIT! We couldn't wait to get this set up and find a patio set for our patio!

Jilly approved of the new grass and new toys. She had her toy chewed to fluff in no time. 

The saddest part of moving is that our new couch wouldn't fit down the stairs! We tried every angle, even considered breaking it apart to get it down there. When we were finally defeated, and there were holes in our new walls to mark our defeat, we decided to sell the couch and find a new one. We were able to sell it close to what we bought it for so I was happy with that. These men worked tirelessly and were determined to get that thing down there! 

A friend text me the next morning checking in to see how I was. I was SO tired. And as I got dressed for the day, it showed. I sent her this to prove my tiredness. 

Alex and Tripp came over to welcome us and snap some pictures. They themselves are moving to AZ in a few weeks so we will miss seeing them around! 

It took several days of eating out before we had our first meal in our new home! 

We got the tramp set up quickly but then we had a storm and it blew up sideways on our home. So we took it back down til we could get some anchors. 

And everyone asks Rylee how she is liking her new room....this picture will tell you. 

And I LOVE snuggling in my new Minky blanket that Alex also gifted us. She is seriously the best! I sent her this pic to let her know how much we loved it. I use it EVERY night! 

 We are so happy in our new home. We love having members in our neighborhood and being in a big family ward. We love the extra space, the grassy yard, the finished basement and that everyone has their own space to decorate and care for. We can't wait to have parites and BBQ and have new (and old) friends in our home. Welcome Home! 

A bunch of lasts...

As our time in the 8th ward was drawing to an end, I knew there were going to be a lot of hard "lasts" and goodbyes. I was surprised when in Primary, I was presented with the cutest candybar card that all the kids got to sign. I took one last picture of my primary kiddos that I will miss singing with SO much! 

Lots of hugs were given and tears shed!

It made me feel so loved. And we will for sure miss having these cute kiddos next door to always play with! We love Avery and Kayden!

As I was cleaning out our home I was vaccuming each room and remembering things that happened in each room and letting the tears come as I remembered birthdays, toddler beds, long talks, BBQs, projects, quarantine, new babies and so many more memories. This house turned us into a family and brought so many great things to our family here. 

Goodbye 346! You were so good to us. 

When we finally had the last boat pulled out, we took one last picture in front of our home. It was hard to say good bye but easier knowing what we were moving into!

And this building we will miss...a little anyway! I WON'T miss the lack of AC! Man this summer has been brutal in there. But I will miss the architecture of this old building. The rolling wall, the fireplaces, the cry room, the nursing closet, the windows, but most of all the people! 

Our last sunday there we had a munch and mingle after church. We got to say goodbye to lots of friends and we are glad we aren't going far and will still get to rub shoulders with these wonderful people! Chad has grown alot as a member of the bishopric. I know he will miss working with these men immensely. They have been so good to us and our family. We are grateful for their friendship.  

We are already planning on lots of cross town play dates with these cuties. 

And look at all these angels that showed up to load our UHAUL! We seriously were done in an hour. I couldn't even believe the love and service we were shown from so many friends.  Unfortunately this was Satruday and we didn't end up moving til TUESDAY! So we had a lot of time just sitting in an empty house. But I took the opportunity to get it clean so I didn't have that much to do. But it was pure torture waiting to get the keys! 

And here's some last pictures of our family on our steps. You can't tell, but tears were overflowing this day. Even typing about it 3 months later still brings tears to my eyes!

Goodbye 346 E 700 N! I'm glad we drive past often so we can see the great new memories that are being made in our new home by the new owners. We don't know much about them but know they came from Rose Park and are a family of 5 boys! They breed dogs and plan to turn the side of the house into a dog cage thing. Hope they will take care of our home that we put our hearts and souls into! 

Sports in the summer

With us moving, Carter came to the realization that he would no longer be able to play football for Tooele since we crossed the boundary line. He really struggled with that for a while. Since we hadn't signed papers to make it official yet, he attended both Tooele and Stansbury football camps. After his first practice with Stansbury, he said, "Mom, I feel like I'm finally where I belong." <3 I'm not sure what made him feel like that but ever since then he was 100% dedicated to Stansbury. Here he is at his last Tooele camp. We will for sure miss the purple Buffs! But I really think this will be a change for the better! 

Mollie played in the Friday Night Lights Cup here at Deseret Peak. It was SO fun. When I saw the schedule I was a little worried when I saw we had 9 & 10 PM games! But it was awesome playing under the lights and in the cooler weather! I hope this is a tradition that continues because we had SO much fun! 

We had one game not under the lights, but it was still pretty cool. 

Annnnd...... we came out on top! Our girls were the CHAMPS!!!!! They played SO hard!

Allison promised ice cream cones after the game if they won....well it worked! 

GO ELITE!!!!! 

 

Camping at Pineview :(

We decided to try out a new camping place since we always go to the same spot. We tried a place in Ogden Canyon called Pineview. At first, it seemed great. I don't know if it was because my stress level was so high with moving or what but I just could not relax. I don't love RV camping and this was pretty much an RV park with all grass. The sand by the lake was pretty great and we spent some time at the waters edge before heading out boating the next day. 

You could see how low the water levels were...pretty sad. 

We got on the water early but it wasn't early enough. The water was already packed and so much that we couldn't even get out to do anything behind the boat. We were really bummed at first. But then we just parked and let the kids play in the water and that lifted everyones spirits pretty well. 

There were SO many people on the water it was ridiculous and quite dangerous. 

Dad sported his new flamingo shorts for Mollie. 

Rylee had her traditional boat nap. 

The best thing about this trip was we made donuts! They were a hit and we really enjoyed them! They even opted for having them again over s'mores!

I forgot to take pictures before we devoured them but this is what I got. They were yummmmy! Chad took it one step further and stuffed a reeces cup in the dough before he fried it. 

We got a new tent and realized we didn't love it....then Bri fell on her bike and got this huge bruise. By this point I was just ready to go home or go to a different lake. We decided to pack up early and go boating at Willard Bay. 

 It was a much better experience for a while....all of a sudden our boat wouldn't start! There we were, sitting ducks in the water. Wow this trip was kind of a big fail. We decided once we got the boat started to just head home. We came home a day early and i was really ok with it. We just have so much to do! And it was nice to sleep in my bed where it was dark and quiet. RV camping is NOT camping!
