Freezing Trunk or treat

A few days before halloween we got our first snow! And it was COOOOOLLLLLD! The girls were so excited and insisted on sledding in the back yard even though it was just a skiff.

They even had a snow picnic with snow for the food.
I was glad when they moved the trunk or treat inside the church because it was so cold and icy! I talked Chad into wearing the old Shrek outfit that hasn't been out of the tote for a few years. He obliged despite having to be at work all night and suffer from exhaustion. He drew the line at the green face paint.
I spent the day painting cute signs to make our swamp and had a good time doing it.

This part of halloween is fun. Its the scary stuff I don't enjoy much. We had a good time even though we were all tired!

"Jack o lanterns"

We finally got around to carving the pumpkins we picked in the patch. We opted to do them on a saturday afternoon instead of in the evening after a busy day. Which was a great option! We could take our time and actually enjoy doing it. Mollie was very excited and did her almost completely by herself.

Bri wanted to be independent too and did alot on her own. G&G Hymas were down visiting and grandma helped Bri some.

Dad was in charge of Rylee's. I really didn't do much this year! Which was awesome.
Carter begged and begged to carve a watermelon this year instead of a pumpkin so he could eat the  "guts." He was dead set on it but I wasn't sold on wasting a good melon! I visited the NPS store and found some melons for .25 each! I figured I could go for that. And as he said he would he ate lots of watermelon and drank the juice as he went. Weirdo!
He made a Marshemellow jack o lantern/watermelon. Cute idea but the juice got all over my porch!
The finished products. Brielle made a heart emoji face and here she is making the same face!

Mollie's is puking and here she is making the same face. Gross.
Ry wasn't into it and never has been. It was all I could do to get a picture by it.
And I spent my time rescuing all the seeds because year after year I have wanted to roast them and eat them but have never wanted to take the time to do it since its usually late and we need to get the kids to bed. But since it was afternoon, I scooped those babies up and baked them! YUM! They turned out really good. I think its going to have to be a tradition from here on out.

End of Soccer Season

Man it's hard to believe that another soccer season has passed! So much growth has happened in this team and it was so great to go out with a WIN against Stansbury Elite. We haven't beat them yet this season so it was a great win.
This team is so great. Each player has learned their roles and has dominated them. We love the coaches and love watching our girls play!
They have become really good friends and I couldn't pick better girls for my daughters friend.
G&G Hymas came to the last game. And we got some cute pictures with our girl! GO #10!!!!

Fall and Halloween THINGS

There are always so many things to do in this town around halloween. I tried hard to embrace it a little more this year because I don't love it! We started figuring out costumes early on and Bri and Ry were undecided for quite some time. Brielle was going to be a cheerleader because I let her try on my old costume but then she scrapped that. Rylee couldn't decided but found this little hat at the dollar store and insisted I take her picture. Carter was determined to be Marshmello and constantly was looking up costumes. When we found the right price I let him buy the mask even though he couldn't wear it most places. He improvised and wore it more as a hat.
We visited our neighbors work where they were doing trunk or treat and had a pirate ship!

I was lucky enough to get to go out with some friends to witches night at Gardner village. We dressed up and had fun despite the pouring rain!
 My wet witches!

We had a good time taking selfies and looking in the shops. We even had some good laughs with some of the workers.
The school carnival was up next and we had a pirate, a gypsy, Evie and Marshmello along with us.

The kids love seeing their friends at the carnival and we had to take lots of pictures with friends. Bri especially loved seeing her friends from kindergarten.

We took one day to play in the leaves and have a fall picnic. One of my fav things to do with the canyon so close. We were a little late though and the leaves were ugly and wet. We played for a bit but not very long!

We also tried hitting the trick or treat at the medical offices and it was CRAZY. Of course when you offer free pizza, the whole town comes out! We made it in ONE building, grabbed their last few slices of pizza and then I was done. TOO MANY PEOPLE for me!!!! But we found some of our friends and grabbed a pic. We have a lot of kids girls!!!

On too more Halloween!

Fun fall festivals

One of the first festivals we went to was a customer appreciation day for a bounce house rental. They had free hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, drinks and fun and games and bounce houses!! All for free!!

We grabbed some friends and went!

The sack races were fun and all the kids scored some fun light up toys.

The next one was the Honey Harvest Festival. G&G Reed were in town and given grandpas hobby, I thought we'd go check it out! It was really cute! Here are the kids with the queen bee!

 And a Pony bee!

They have the most incredible petting farm with a baby camel, zebra, & yak among other things.

Grandma spoiled all the kids with a treat or toy.

After that we went to a cute pumpkin patch in grantsville! Most of the pumpkins had sadly frozen but we did find a few that weren't too bad.

Of course Brielle found the tiniest pumpkin and called it an "American Doll" pumpkin And had to get some.
I love fall and the festivals and the warm sun in the cool air! We were glad to share it with our grandparents!
