Gadsby plant and the temple with G&G Hymas

Chad's parents were coming in town so he pulled some strings to get us a family tour at his power plant. We had to get all "saftey'd" up before we could go in.  Mollie was a little nervous and was scared of the loud noises but she was a trooper and geared up and stayed with us.

My handsome hubby in his daily gear. I've decided all his neck problems come from his hard hat. They are HEAVY!
Theres always a project going on so we went back home and Chad and his dad worked alot on the bathrooms...pics of that to come later. Later in the week we got to go into temple square and take some pictures of the kids. I wanted to get some of Carter in his suit for his baptism invitation but the girls didn't want to be left out.

Her little squishy face cracks me up in this picture!

I can NOT believe he is turning 8 and getting baptized! He looks so grown up here and I'm so proud of him! He sure is a sweet kid and a wonderful older brother.

Here come the birthday festivities!!!!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOOOOOLLL!!!

Can it be? I have a 2nd grader! He was more than ready to go back and excited to meet new friends. Here he is looking good going to his last year at the old Harris Building because they are building a new school for next year and they are now the Sterling Eagles! This year is going to be a little crazy with 2 schools combined but it will be worth it for next year!

His teachers are Mrs. Price and Professora Porter for the dual immersion program and we have loved it!
He was relieved to have some of his best buddies and familiar faces in class. Here's the boys table!
Mollie started a week later but got to attend her kindergarten tea and meet her teacher Mrs. Gibson. Here she is with her good friend Jocelyn at their new school.
She was selected to go to all day kindergarten as one of the highest scoring kids on the test they give them. I was excited because she is really ready for all day school and needs that stimulation. But the night before I was really sad and felt like it was the last night of her being little. She will now be in school for the rest of her life until she is a mom most likely and I second guessed myself.
But seeing how happy and ready she was on the first day eased my fears. She was fearless and so excited.

She didn't even look back and walked right into the school!
She knew right where to go but I'm glad she has Carter with her just to give her a sense of security.
Bri wanted to stay too! She didn't know many kids in her class yet but quickly made friends and became a favorite to the teachers.
Me and Bri and Ry are still figuring out what to do during the day with the older kids gone all day but I think they like the extra attention.

Mollie got home and said she had a great day but was so tired! She didn't fall asleep but she laid here right next to me for quite a while just relaxing and unwinding. It took a few days for her to get used to the schedule but she is really thriving and loving school!
I'm so proud of my smart kiddos who love school and make good friends. They are good examples and make good choices. I love them so much and love to see them thriving!

Last chance of summer fun

In a last effort to have some fun with the kids over this crazy summer we took off one day to seven peaks fun center. The older kids have been here several times and love it but it was brielles first time. I'm telling you....she is a thrill lover!

A tad bit scared at first but soon loving it and wanting to go on the ride over and over!

Carter did awesome scaling the rock wall.
 Again on the frog ride.
When we have come before alot of the rides have been closed so it was fun this time to have them all open!

Mollie's favorite ride was the roller coaster and I actually let Bri go on it too. She hit her head and decided it wasn't that great of a ride!

Carter loved the water boats and race cars. I let him take Bri on this ride too and she hated it because people kept squirting her. Good thing it was hot and felt a little good too!
Goodbye summer! You were a tough and busy one and we are glad for the fun times. But we are SO ready for a normal schedule for our family!

Football and swim lessons

Carter decided to try a new sport and do flag football! I was really proud of him for trying a new thing and how hard he tried to do his best. His team was the seahawks and his first game he played his buddy trevor on the packers team.
They didn't win a lot of games but he sure tried hard and even scored a touchdown in one of the games! It was so fun to see! Of course the ref stepped in the picture right as a took it. But he was so proud and so were we!

We also squeezed in swim lessons the last few weeks of summer. It really clicked for Mollie this year and she loves going under water and swimming.

Brielle and I took a mom and me class and she was so fun to have in the water and have some one on one time with her. She also did great and learned to love jumping in and going under the water. One day she was the reason for evacuating the pool because of some poop that escaped from her swim diaper. Talk about embarrassing!  Can't wait to retell that one when she's older!

Carter did really well swimming too but I never got a picture of him. Summer is coming to an end!

Tooele Co. Fair

Last years fair was really....LAME! So I didn't go with high hopes but I actually wasn't disappointed! We hit up the petting farm and my girls all loved it! Carter of course wouldn't even come in. The animals were so cute and friendly!
This goat wanted to come home with us i think.
The girls taming a pony and a goat.
I don't think Bri knew what this was exactly but she kept going over to it and poking its shell.
Hello Blackie! The animals were not shy!
We grabbed some fair food and sat down to watch the yoyo show. Carter was actually picked to come up and be a helper for the show! He was nervous but cute. The man put  a quarter on his ear and he knocked it off with a yoyo!

After that we hit up the carnival! I've always loved the carnival and it was expensive but fun. It was Brielle's first time to something like this and she loved it!!
 As you can see....
 Good times! Great company!

Carter still loves this car ride even though its for littles. He loves anything to do with cars!

Me and him tackled this ride and it was scary! it went around in a circle a million times! We both were scared!
All in all it was a really fun time and I'm glad we went!!
