Thanksgiving Week

We were thrilled to death when Chet and Mindy decided to come visit us for Thanksgiving! Chad had to work some of it so they were gracious enough to make the drive. We did all sorts of fun things including Beauty and the Beast play at the Hale Center Theatre, Moana 2 at the movies, playing at the church, and temple visits. We also hit up ice cream and had a mini concert with Maycie and Bri and Morgan playing their instruments. Here are some fun pics of our fun.
We really had a great Thanksgiving lunch. Chad smoked a turkey breast and it was so good. We had all the fixings even lasagna. The rolls sadly did not turn out, darn you Beehive Rolls! But everything else was fabulous!

Mindy offered to do our family pictures too so we spent one morning exploring Tooele before we landed on these places. I LOVE them so much and they were perfect for our christmas cards.

How cute are my kids?! Later in the week we traveled to Emma's sealing in the Pocatello temple. Chet and Mindy were not allowed to go but were happy we could go. There was heartache in many hearts that day and we can only pray for and hope for the best for Emma. We still had fun at a hotel with Chet and Mindy and lots of Chad's family gathered later at a hotel to chat and catch up. The Hymas fam does have a strong bond even though we don't get together too often. In this month of gratitude, I'm especially grateful for the family I married into that made it feel like a real holiday even though my parents were gone.

November

Somehow, all my pictures from November are non existent. I don't know where they went or what happened, but here is what I was able to salvage!
Yes our tree was up by Nov 3 this year. A BSU tree to help cheer them on in the championship game! They had a great year so it was a good honor.
My man turned 42 this year! We of course went to Leatherbys to celebrate. Sadly, I don't remember how else we spent the day, but knowing him, this was the best part!
Bri and Ry both made a comp basketball team. They ended up being on the same team for convenience, Bri didn't love it at first but I sure did! She came around to the idea of it though and their team dominated!
Carter did his thing at the DP indoor track. I'm so glad we have one here!
Our youth did some great activities through Nov. This was cinnamon roll making I believe.
The youth got to attend the temple together for the first time.

Carters YM group did a cold camp to Antelope Island. These always make me so nervous thinking about how cold he probably is but he always has a blast!
They do such fun things!
The activity day girls made some blankets to donate.
And Carter had his end of year Dance Recital! He did social dance this year and their dance was such a fun one! Batman themed. Look at his throw that cape!

Luckily I have some for the week of thanksgiving coming up next, but hopefully I didn't miss too much throughout the month!

Deseret Peak Temple Dedication

Because I always want to remember, I wanted to add some fun facts about the DP Temple Dedication and open house.

-It was announced April 7, 2019. It was one of 8 announced.

-It is the 23rd in Utah

-They broke ground after changing spots on May 15, 2021

-The open house ran Sept -Oct 2024 and more than 130,000 came to see it

-It is the 200th temple in the world and was dedicated by our prophet, Pres Nelson who was 100 years old!

-It was dedicated Nov 10, 2024

It was so special to attend with my whole family and be surprised as we watched friends we knew who were invited to be in the temple choir to sing for the prophet and Tooele Co. as our temple was dedicated. It made it more personal to see friends we know and love participating in the celestial room that day. My friend Emily told me there were definitely angles singing with them.
Hooray! I can not wait to serve in MY temple!!!

Halloween Things

Its been fun watching my mom come up with things she can make to enjoy the holidays. Here she crocheted herself a spider web costume!
And had one decoration made from crepe paper.
They even attended a party!
And dad sported an Oreo.
Bri let me dress her up as Day of the Dead on Movie dress up day at school.

Crazy hair day was all about eyeballs...
and spiders.
I got to dress up again to go teach my kids at gym.
The kids did a school costume parade and I loved seeing the staff dress up as Inside Out characters as well.

Dinner was pizza mummies by request from the kids.
The Carter and Brekkyn took Rylee trick or treating and I sat at home and passed out candy!
Bri went with a friend too  in Stansbury and came home with SO. MUCH. CANDY.
Maddie bought Mollie some pj's for her bday and they were gifted on halloween so they had to try them on together.
Crazy hair day at gym.
Happy Halloween! I'm almost starting to like this holiday.....almost.
