Mollie turns THREE!

Oct 5 we celebrated Mollie's 3rd birthday! I can't believe three years has already passed. She is so grown up and tells everyone that she is 6. She is sassy and sweet and very opinionated! We love her so much and can't imagine our life without her!

She requested pancakes for breakfast so Dad whipped up some letter pancakes for kids and then we were off to a soccer game for Carter.

We returned home and finished watching conference and then Mollie got ready for her princess party! She loved her new birthday girl crown and wand.

Watching all these princesses walk down the sidewalk to our house made my heart happy. It was so cute and they all acted like little ladies. We first decorated princess crowns. (I wasnt watching Carter and he took most of the decorations and had them all glued on his one crown before i could do anything about it! Oh well :) )

Little Brynlee is quite the novelty at our house. Mollie loves to play with her and Carter just loves her. They go around telling everyone they are going to get married and it has been going on this way for quite some time. They spent most of the party cuddling on the couch. OH BOY!

And whats a princess party without glam and glitter?! We got all prettied up with manicures, lip gloss and hair glitter!

Mol has always loved cupcakes (the frosting at least) and insisted on pink cupcakes with sparkles (sprinkles) and so thats just what she got. Along with marshmallow pops and fruit wands.

Present opening is always very exciting and these little girls wanted every toy opened and so thats what we did after we opened all the presents.

After the last session of conference we opened family gifts with grandma and grandpa reed.

A new scooter and a new dollie that drinks and wets were among the favorite gifts!

My kids love their grandparents and I'm so glad they could be there to celebrate with us.

The rest of the day was spent in the warm sun watching the kids ride scooters and eating cupcakes. G&G Reed took us to dinner and  Mollie had a giant purse packed with almost every little birthday toy she could fit in it and we had to haul in into the restaurant. She packs that thing everywhere now!

Overall, it was an incredible day. Sure love my kiddos and that we are able to make their birthdays so special. Just please dont grow up too fast on me. Love you Mol dol!

SIX cavities

I guess i won the Bad mom of the year award! A few days after his birthday we took the kids to the dentist and found out that Carter had SIX cavities! Never having had cavities myself it freaked me out a little! But they drugged him up really good before he came in and he was a champ through all of it!

Loved the dentist and dentist office we went to. They were so great with kids. Here he is just chilling on the table watching a movie completely oblivious to whats going on. So glad he is more like his dad when it comes to things like this. I dont handle dental work very well at all!

We are now a flossing and 2 minute brushing family. Hope that it was just bad brushing habits (which really werent all that bad! and not bad genes!

The BIG 5

Can't believe my Carter is 5! He has so much energy and is full of life! He is such a blessing in our lives and is a constant reminder of whats really important in life. He is always happy and always wanting to have fun. We started out his birthday with a soccer game which his grandparents and uncle jordan got to watch.

He wanted a Disney Planes party so I had to get creative and make alot of the decor from scratch, but it all turned out ok!

As the kids arrived they made paper airplanes with Chad and flew them off of the balcony. We had quite the time getting them out of our trees and off the roof.

Then we played a hot game of Bus, Bus, Plane (duck duck goose) and I even got in on the action!

A little Pin the Propeller on Dusty was another quick game we played.

And then on to gifts!

Cake and ice cream is always a hit and a huge mess. My floors were so sticky after having 12 sticky kids running through the house! But it was all worth it!

Later that afternoon we did more presents with the family. Boy was he spoiled!

He was lucky enough to have his Grandpa Reed, Uncle Jordan and G&G Hymas at his party. I love that they make such an effort to be there for his birthdays and other big things. I'm so glad my kids love and know both sets of grandparents and they are involved in their lives. It is such a blessing!

Carter's real birthday was on Sunday but we just went to church and took it easy since we did all the celebrating on saturday. It was such a wonderful weekend!

PRESCHOOL!

My little baby has started Preschool! His first day was Sept 20, 2013. He goes to Northlake Elementary for 4 days a week and two hours each day.

I only teared up a little when I dropped him off. :) How do they get so big so quick?!

His teacher is Mrs. Christensen and she is phenomenal!  He has loved every minute of it.

On his first day they did playdough and had a snack and did computers and played outside.

Little Mol says she misses Carer every day while he's at school. So do I!

I'm not the waffle maker at our house but I attempted waffles and bacon for his first day of school breakfast. He sure was excited!

An afternoon on Temple Square

We spent one Sunday afternoon walking around temple square. The only time we usually go is when its 15 degrees out and the Christmas lights are up. We walk as quickly as we can through all the lights trying to keep kids happy and warm as we bump past the millions of others who are doing the same. Then we jet to our cars and get the closest hot chocolate we can find. Sound familiar?

Well this trip was nothing like that. I HIGHLY reccomend vistiting on a Sunday summer afternoon. It was so quiet and peaceful. The flowers were in full bloom and the small crowds of people were talking quietly gazing at the temple. You could REALLY feel you were on sacred ground.

As I walked with Carter he said mom will you hug me and take a picture? I think he could feel something special. I hope so anyway!

The kids loved all the fountains and pretty flowers.

Not sure whats happening here, but it made me laugh.

As we stood and looked into this reflection pond, Mollie brought tears to my eyes as she said, "Mom I'm going to be married in the temple." Carter soon chimed in saying the same thing. I love that they know the importance of the temple already. In all that I do wrong as a Mom, maybe I'm doing a few things right.

And I truly hope with all of my heart they will both be sealed there some day.
