You heard it...we took off on wed with 10% chance of rain for Brielles first camping trip ever and it turned into the wetest trip ever! It rained almost every day! In fact we ended up paying for an extra day so we could stay all day saturday and enjoy some sunshine! Beware of picture overload!
Bri didn't know what to think really of being outside all the time but in the end I think she loved it and she did great!
It rained so much one night that we took off and went to Pizza Pie cafe with some friends from logan. It was great to catch up with the Draneys!
We kept the girls busy with lots of crafts and playing tea set.
And lots of bike riding!
It was also baby Ty's first camping trip and he was a little trooper!
My family knows how to eat well All of the time, but especially when we are camping too.
When we finally got some sunshine we took a walk. I couldn't resist hoping on Carters bike for a bit.
We went to the amphitheater and the kids put on a show for us.
Here's the gang basking in the sunshine!
Jordan and dad kept kids busy by playing bocce ball and horseshoes
Me and my brothers and sister in laws
The boys (and Taylor) took a hike up to the wind caves. Carter and Ryker did incredible and made it to the top with no problems.
Carter loved this little hole and thought it was great he fit perfectly into it.
We are sad that Justin's family is moving to Moscow and so we wont see them for a long time. These boys had so much fun together!
Grandpa rigged some suspenders for Mollie to keep her pants up!
Grandma painted her nails...
and Chad stole a few ZZZZs.
The grandkids
While we were sitting in the car waiting out a rainstorm Chad fed Bri a sour patch kid. She kept wanting more but would make the best sour faces in between.
Trying to get warm and dry
Me and my girls
There were snails EVERYWHERE! And lots of empty shells. Mollie spent an hour or so picking up tons of snail shells.
Grandpas and Aunts and Uncles are great for swinging the kids on walks!
These little ones got along pretty well! We have been waiting for this stage to get here when they could be friends and not fight all the time! And really they are getting to be really good buddies.
Packing up is always the worst part. Glad Chad is such a good packer and he built this handy rack that hooks into our hitch to haul extra gear. This is Chad and Dad getting it all ready to go.
Overall it was a fun trip and memories were definitely made! It could have been a little warmer but it was still fun and relaxing to get away from the worries of life and technology and just BE with family. Glad for the memories that were made and for parents who have helped us all stay close so that we enjoy being together. Here's to a less rainy camping season!!!
