Flu season is the pits

This flu season was soooo brutal on our family! I started the fun over Christmas when I had the full blown flu. Then one day Ry said she didn't feel good and wanted to puke. She often says that so I didnt think too much of it. She went upstairs and got herself a bowl and puked in it!! At three years old! My 10 year old still has a tough time with that!!

She continued to puke about 12 times that day! It was so sad. Lot of snuggles were had and lots of extra sleep for this little babe.
A few weeks later it hit Brielle in the middle of the night. I was trying so hard to clean it up but it was so foul smelling I thought I might puke too. Ugh! I hate seeing my kiddos so sick. I think it hit everyone all at different times throughout jan & feb. So not fun.

Brielly-Belly

This girl!! She has impressed me so much this year with how well she has picked up learning her letter sounds and even starting to read! She is so happy with herself (as you can see) after ever sentence she reads. She reads a line and then stops and giggles! She is so fun! And I can't believe she's READING!

She's definitely found her own style and is always telling me what she needs to wear and adds ALL the accessories. You can see what she picked out for a lovely January day.
Brielle really brings so much joy to our lives and keeps us laughing and on our toes! She's mastered the selfie and I often find MANY like this on my phone. She is so simple to please and finds so much joy in everything she does. I hope, Brielle, that you always find happiness in the simple things.

Winter Sports

We got to experience Indoor soccer for the first time! It's a little different playing through the winter but it was fun. The girls had no other group in their age group so they had to play up a level. They have lost most of their games but have kept up with the older girls too. They have learned and grown alot through this season.

Carter started basketball with Chad coaching him this year. He has an inexperienced team which has caused some frustrations but they also have improved so much in just a few short weeks! Its been cool watching it click for some of them. Carters skills have also improved a ton. He is such a good dribbler!
Chad is very patient and has done a great job coaching them.
Go Magic!!!

Ry's POOP party!

Rylee would only poop at night while she was sleeping and I didn't even know how to train her not too! I didn't know if she'd ever do it! But she did! And she didn't let me forget that I promised her a poop party!
We had choc cupcakes, choc covered strawberries and chocolate candies!
She got a few surprises to keep encouraging her!
And she requested a candle so we sang happy poop party to you!
We played pass the poop and pin the poop as a family and got some good laughs!
Its a BIG deal that this is probably our last potty training party! IM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!

My Carter Man

My C-man doesn't make the blog super often so I want to make sure he knows he is LOVED! He got to spend some quality boy time up at Brighton hitting the slopes and is really getting to be quite the little boarder!
And his hair is so crazy long! I talked him into cutting it luckily but he said he wanted to grow it out for awhile!
He gave such a sweet lesson on family history and we took some time to look at our family tree and he made the best drawings of our family members. The best one is grandpa D! He has always had a very special interest in our family history and I think he'll do great things!
He's been asking to stay up to study scriptures with us and I love seeing his testimony grow. He is so strong at such a young age and I'm always so proud when he bears his testimony or asks gospel questions or reads scriptures on his own. He's been fasting every fast sunday too and having some neat experiences with that. I sure love this kid.

And he still wants to cuddle and tells me he loves me often and makes me feel loved. He's so sweet that way. I love you Carter! You have brought me so much joy in my life and I hope I can bring you joy too and be someone you are proud of. Keep making good choices and stay close to me and your dad and never give up on your dreams!

New Years Day fun

I really need to do better at planning something fun for NEW YEARS DAY because I always want to get out of the house but all the planning has gone into the holidays. We decided to use the money Chad's parents gave us and go to our kids favorite place...Classic Fun Center!

It surprisingly was Princess Day! So the girls went crazy when Belle, Mary Poppins, Anna, and the Queen of Hearts came onto the rink. How fun! And they got plenty of princess time and pics with all of them!

Carter was not excited about the princesses but very excited about getting to scooter around and hit all the jumps. He Loves this place and is all about the scootering!

 Cute girls!
Carter talked us into letting him ride the bull. He fell of pretty quickly but I guess he can check it off his bucket list.
They all played so hard! And we did laser tag, bounce houses, and skating! What a fun day!
The kids loved the skating train too! Good times!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Ending 2018

Totally can't believe this cutie is out of NURSERY and going to be a sunbeam! She was so excited to go to sunbeams and is SO ready. She loves music and loves to bear her testimony, which she did on her first day in primary! What a cutie she is!!
A family selfie on our last day of 3 hour church!! YAHOO!

For New Years Eve we were invited to the Ogilvies home to celebrate! Their friends Ally and Brad were there too! We did so many fun things! We had balloon count downs for a few random times and did things like painting, cotton candy drinks, and sparklers! We played tons of games in between those things and really had a good time!
 Photo booth props!
 The gang!
Alex and William made a BALLOON DROP in their living room! How cool is that?! The kids LOVED it and I got the best pic of Brielle's reaction. She is so fun and loves life so much.

We then ran outside to watch fireworks and do sparklers (and get yelled at by rude party go-ers)

Happy New Year! My wishes for 2019 include a fun low key year with LOTS of family time and memory making. Improved relationships and LOTS of LOVE!
