Halloweeny Things

I started getting into the halloween spirit by ordering some fun Color Street nails! Look how cool! They glow in the dark!

I dressed up 3 different times this October, mostly because it was just a convenience thing for what I was doing. Bunco was first so I dug in my closet for a workout Barbie costume and printed a sign off the internet and taped it to me. Easy peasy. 

There's something strange in the neighborhood.....

We took the kids to a trunk or treat a few days before Halloween. 

Our neighbor Alex's work had the truck or treat so we took a pic with her!

Brielle actually got put in quarantine this week because a kid in her class had covid! She had to stay home for several days which made her miss her halloween class party. She was so bummed! She couldn't return without a negative test or after 10 days of being exposed. So I decided to get her tested to try to get her cleared by halloween! I was so nervous for her to have the test because I know how it feels, but she actually giggled while they were digging in her nose! She did so well. She had zero symptons so it was so frustrating that she had to stay home! Her teachers moved the class party back since several were in quarantine and the day before Halloween we got good news!!

So the halloween festivities continued!! Chad and I had a party at the Anderson's house so I did this fun costume and makeup for it. But it took a good while to create!

BSU's first game after all of this covid nonsense was the same day and so Chad dressed as a super fan. 

We played some fun games and laughed lots at the party. 

By the end of the night, I looked like this....makeup fail!

We decorated sugar cookies one afternoon and had a good time doing it. Then delivered some.

The next activity up was at the Railroad train museum. They had businesses decorate a section of the walk and it was really cute! One thing about covid is that is has forced everyone to be a little more creative since most of the activities were canceled. 

And one of those things was a drive through ward party! The primary put together treat bags for the kids to pass out and the Bishopric handed out pizza to families as they drove through. Some of them dressed up and it was so good to see all the primary kids!

Costume #3 was Maleficent because it was a busy day and takes 2 seconds to throw on!

 I tried to hop on the halloween band wagon a little more this year for the sake of the kids. It's disappointing that so many normal things were cancelled but we still made the most of it and everyone has been having fun. Still not sure what Trick or Treat will look like but we plan to hand out candy!

SPORTS SATURDAY

We ran back from Idaho to have our last sports Saturday for the year. All the kids had things. Carter's team made it to the 2nd round of playoffs. Love this picture of my C man running with the flag!!

Their final game against Brighton was a nail bitter! There were lots of emotions expressed before, during and after the game. They lost sadly and this game ended their season. There were so bad calls, and some mistakes and just some plain old bad luck. But these boys left their hearts on the field! They played so hard and we are SO proud of Carter. He really learned to love football this year and is already looking forward to next year.

Bri had her last game of the season. In this game a boy on the other team called her a loser. She stopped in her tracks and stared that kid down for a good 15 seconds. Then she came to sit out and she burst into tears! Ugh..I hate that some kids can be mean. But I know that it is because of what they are taught and treated in their home. We had a good talk and I held her while she cried and talked about how she was NOT a loser. She went back out and played so hard and took that ball from that kid several time! Sure love you Bri-B and your strong, kind soul. 

She played goalie alot this year and really loved it. Look at her put her whole body into her kick! 

Mollie's team ended the season by playing the Blue team that is just younger than them. The girls all played so hard but the black team pulled out a MAJOR win. The girls didn't seem to care too much and they enjoyed pizza and treats after the game. 

We love these sport saturdays but we can hardly believe that we have our saturdays free until Spring!! Mollie's winter season will be played on week days for the most part. We have lots of projects already in the works for winter!

Ashton's party

We got an invitation to attend Ashton's birthday party and G&G Reed's house and since we have never got to celebrate a birthday with him, we took off to idaho. It worked out great to get to see him play a flag football game the night before his party. I was surprised to see his coaches...Justin and I went to high school with the Torix twins.

The next morning, we woke up to all things MINECRAFT! The kids were all so excited and Tony and Monse put in SO much work!

The kids all got a crafting table to start the day with. They were given scavenger hunt cards to go find all the things on their card. 

They all had to go find their weapons first! And then the Minecraft palooza began!

There were creepers and ghosts all over the yard. 

There was even a portal that they go to go through later to get their treat bags.

Lunch was a full spread of firestone, rocks, bricks, sticks and all sorts of mincraft things. So cute.

Everyone got their own photo shoot with the creatures. We had such a fun time. Happy birthday Ashton! We are so glad we got to celebrate with you!
