THS Cheer

All the hard work and early mornings has finally paid off and its time for Tooele's 1 competition. We had a few last minute practices to make sure we were good. They've worked so hard for this! I felt like we were ready!

Our 1st comp was at Weber State! Its intimidating just being in their field house where they practice, but seeing it chuck full of nervous cheerleaders made the nerves set in in everyone!
I loved that they had a meditation moment where they listened to the music and visualized their routine.
We got a few practices on the mats and then it was time! There at the end of the hall where the purple curtain, is where they hit the mat to perform!!
Go THS! You've got this!!
Look at the monstrosity of this stadium! We loved that it was purple like us!
And..... we won 1st! (And we were the only one in our division too, but we don't tell anyone that!!) They had a good performance with a few falls. We can't always get our stunts to hit all the time!
But we very happily accepted 1st to build our confidence!
GOOD JOB GIRLS! This was sooooo fun! Can't wait for our comp in CALIFORNIA!

Mollie's Science Project

These are getting simpler for us all the time and while I still don't like them, this one was fun and creative and pretty cool! Mollie and her friend Ashland did this one together, however, Ash had covid so they had to do it virtually with each other! They both did the experiment and filled out their packet together and it actually worked really well!

How many pencils can you stab into a bag of water before it leaks?

Answer: ALOT! I think she had about 20 in there and it still didn't leak!
And there is her and Ash on their video chat! Too cute!

Jr Stallions

We decided to try out a new basketball program and do Jr Stallions since Jr Jazz STILL isn't having a season! Rylee and Brielle both did it and both learned a lot and loved it! Here are some cute pictures of them. They both scored points throughout their season and both got a stallions basketball. They thought that was very cool. Bri is very aggressive and had 3 baskets in one game! She was the only girl on her team and her lady coach was so great with her in creating girl power pride and encouraging the boys to pass to her and be kind. Rylee is a little more reserved but still gets in there and plays so hard! She made new friends on the team and loves basketball!

 Sure love my little ballers!

Its great to be 8 (and almost 14)

Brielle has been looking forward to this day for a long time and her baptism day finally arrived!!!! We expected some family in town but as a storm threatened to ruin plans, we had more and more guest ask to come the night before! Which we loved! We had most of my brothers and both grandparents in the house Fri night! It was a party!

She woke up and got her hair done and had breakfast and was showered with gifts and lots of love.
New scriptures from mom and dad!

A towel from grandma Hymas.
Then it was time to go! The January morning air was cool and crisp, but there wasn't a cloud in the sky and the sun was shinning. It was a beautiful day!
We set up the gym the night before. She chose lavender for her color at her luncheon and luckily we could use the church gym for our luncheon.

I love this happy girl so much! She can always bring a smile to anyone. She has a pure heart and is very loving to all around her. I'm so glad she is choosing to follow Jesus because she is already so good at it!
We had so many friends and family join us for our special day!

I was so happy we got to plan our own program! She had Grandpa H  and Mollie say the prayers and both of her grandmas be witnesses for the baptism.

Rylee lead the music and did a great job.
Carter gave a great talk on baptism using a Kit Kat bar to help us remember our covenants.
Chad told a funny story about Bri. He asked her why you needed the holy ghost as he was preparing his talk. Her answer? She said, "It's for when your pissed off, it can calm you down." !!!!!!!! Oh this girl!

Dad gave the talk on the Holy Ghost and we all sang "I Will Be What I Believe" at her baptism. Bri sang a solo for the last line.
And then it was time! I decided to watch from the side of the font where I helped her walk in and I'm so glad I did because I felt like I had the best spot to watch the baptism! The water was so low I was afraid she wouldn't go under! But she did! It didn't even come to Chad's knees! He said he didn't have to change his garment bottoms because they didn't get wet!
Soon after, it was time to get the holy ghost! What a special gift that is to be given through the power of God through worthy men who love her and want the best for her. There was lots of love and power in that circle!

After we closed Brielle's program, we weren't done with the fun yet! With the new year, Carter could be ordained to a Teacher! So we decided to combine the 2 and make it a very special day! Again, our loved ones surrounded Carter and gave him a special gift that comes with special responsibilities and privileges.  We are so proud of the young man that he is becoming. He is eager to help prepare the sacrament and hold the doors. But I will miss him sitting by us at church.
We were thrilled when his good buddy, Mikey, realized he was old enough to stand in for the first time! How cool!

We had a soup and sandwich bar for lunch and as usual, I way over prepared! But it was ok. We had dinner for our guests and for a few days after that! And since it was winter it was perfect! We feel so blessed to have so many family and friends who are willing to travel and support us and my kids and show us so much love!!! This day was overflowing with the spirit and I had constant tears of gratitude in my eyes for all the beautiful gifts that were received that day, seen and unseen. And for a loving Heavenly Father who blesses my life and my family so much. We truly are so blessed!

New Years Eve/Day

This year we rang in the new year in our new home with Eash's and Rowleys. We had a great time playing games and chowing down. We love these guys! And the years just keep going faster and faster all the time!
Love these girls!
And this GUY!
We cleaned up the confetti and went to bed as soon as possible because Mol had a game early New Years Day. I was afraid she'd have a bad game from lack of sleep and too much junk! But she had a great game and got a hat trick! And we won!
We then just played since we were in the city. Took the kids to lunch, rode the Ferris Wheel at Scheels.
Well, most of us did. Some of us stayed safe on the ground.
Then we went ice skating! The kids are getting better each time we go!

I always forget how many leg muscles it takes! But we had a great time!
Happy New Year! We really hope that the pandemic will turn a corner and life can feel more normal in the coming year.
