Nationals!

It's NATIONALS TIME! We are ready! We had some early morning practices before we took off to CALI!

I was not sad about leaving all this snow that we got the day before we left.
I took a separate flight so I could stay longer in CA and celebrate my anniversary with Chad! But I met up with all the girls at LAX and we went on to our hotel! Thursday night was all about getting settled and we hit Downtown Disney for food. I thought I may die because I was starving by the time we got there! Fri morning we performed really early, like 8:30 or so, so we were up way early and got it over with. Here we are walking over to compete!
The business park it was in next to Disney was so pretty. Loved all these palm trees!

It was pretty overwhelming even though there was no crowd. Just the parents and judges in a single room. We had SUCH a good routine but 1 stunt fell and 1 tumbler fell. Those falls pushed us out of the top 10. We took home 18th place out of 37. Not great, not awful.....but then we could head to Disneyland and drown our sorrows in churros and begneits!

We took a ton of pics before we went though. Here we are with the seniors! I'll totally miss these girls!!!

Loved these bird like flowers!
I finally got to ride Indiana Jones! Everytime I've ever tried to ride it, it broke down. It was fun!!

I love CARS LAND!
I was talked into riding Gaurdians of the Galaxy. It was horrible, awful and death soul filling. I hate it so much! And i'll probably never go again! Unless the cheerleaders or coaches bully me into it!
We had some cute cheer coach shirts!

We let the girls just go and told them to check in. The coaches stuck together and we had a good time. They forgave me for snoring and we had a good few days together riding the rides and having fun!!

Fri & Sat we played til we dropped! I learned more about Disney than I've ever known before going with these gurus. Good, fun happy times!!

President's Cup

Here we go! Our first tournament of the year. I love these so much and love feeling the southern sunshine. This year we had an extra body that we squeezed back there. Lola came with us for the trip. She was a good kid and helped our kids do better. But it was squishy!!!
Our first game was played at Dixie University and we were happy to learn there was a Chick-fil-a on campus! So we opted to eat there instead of fighting the crazy lines that are at CFA this time of year. Game 1 we tied 1-1 and Mollie hit the goal! The sun was toasty and some of us got burned!

We then just checked into our house and chilled and we loved this house and the back yard! There was a tramp, hot tub, basketball, patio, a zip line (out of commision), a hammock, and lots of space to run!

Mollie's sock sunburn. I didn't think she stood still long enough to get burned but I guess so!
Game 2 was also a tie, 0-0! Going into our 3rd game we knew we needed a shut out and 4 goals in order to make it to the championship game. These girls...when they are given a goal, they go above and beyond and ALWAYS meet that goal. We beat this team 4-0! Exactly what we needed to head to the 'ship!!!!! HOORAY!
We had a team pizza party at the park that evening and it was perfect weather and so relaxing. These girls are so cute when they get to play together outside of soccer.
Cute Ry snuggled the pup IN her kennel.
Sunday we tried to find a cool hike but we were too late getting into the park and it was full. So we just found a trail and started walking. I was glad the girls who came made the most out of it. We literally only saw rocks and dirt!

The kids swam in the hot tub as often as possible! Chad and I waited til kids were in bed and soaked in it every evening! It was so nice! And helped us all sleep so well!

Championship day!!!!! We knew this game was going to be a battle! But we wanted it more and pulled out the W 4-2! Mollie had 1. We were so happy and the energy was through the roof! It wasn't an easy game for them but they played their hearts out and pulled it off!!!!!

Coach gave out medals and we had a quick goodbye because we could see a storm rolling in. We wanted to beat it.
Love this Coach and his love for the girls!

Buuuuuuuttttt we ran right into it and wento 25 MILES PER HOUR almost the whole way home!!!! Seriously until Provo, these were our driving conditions. It was the worst storm I've ever been in and I'm so glad Chad was driving because I wouldn't have been able to! It was pure ice and very low visibility. It took us 8 HOURS to get home from St. George. UGH. It was awful. When we finally got to Filmore we were excited to get some food. Everyone had the same idea and there was NOTHING left in the gas station. We made cup of noodles in the microwave at the gas station and grabbed whatever we could to hold them another few hours.

We always get every kind of weather when we go! I was hoping we wouldn't this time but its not Presidents cup if you don't have sun, wind, rain and snow!

My Valentines

V-day was very low key. The kids woke up to a few treats and gifts and that was about it...no fancy breakfast or fun activities...but it's fine. We are getting ready for a big weekend trip to St. George so I was fine with keeping it easy. But I had to make a Valentines post and tell my people i love them so much. They are what makes my world go round and fuels me to keep going on the path we are on. Love you all more than you know!

Mollie had the most exciting holiday when her crush came over a few days after Vday with a big stuffed animal for her! Zhane Baker is such a cute, sweet kid. This little fling makes Mol be so silly. She is twiterpated for sure!
