40!

Wow! 40 years have flashed before my eyes! Sometimes I still feel like a teenager in an old body. The wrinkles and creaks from my joints quickly bring me back to my real age though. I dropped a few heavy hints that I'd REALLLLY like Cinnabun for my birthday breakfast. I know my husband loves me because he woke early and drove across town to get me some before I was even out of bed.
We hit the pool again in the morning and I made Mollie do a little birthday photo shoot for me. I mean, it is my birthday!

The photo shoot had a pina colada in a pineapple cup and my birthday coke zero that Chad had custom made for me at the coke store from the day before.

So super cute!

Then I was hot enough and had captured some cute pics, so I did a cannon ball. I'm jumping in feet first to my 40th year. I'm going to make it great. I'm going to be more healthy and take care of my body.
I'm going to have fun and make time to be silly with my kids.
I'm going to prioritize the things that really matter and try to be involved in my kids life as much as possible.
I'm going to make memories and do things I really want to do. Not wasting any time because I'm realizing now, more than ever, that time is short with my kids.
Here's the coke up close.
We saved the wax museum for my birthday! I can say it truly was amazing. The figures are so life like and eerily exact and real. I was reading that the celebs have to undergo rigorous body measurements...something like 200 different body measurements to make it as life like as possible. What a trip. Here's Mol meeting Posty and totally star struck.
Hey Brad!
And Johnny! <3
Rylee was so cute with Taylor capturing selfies on the couch with her.
Chad was excited about the Rock and Tupac.

Carter and I were so excited to stand next to Travis.

Hi Gwen! Its like my 16 year old fan club all gathered for my birthday!
Missy E
And Tim
Ry got on the wrecking ball ....ew...
And there were lots of fun photo opps all through the museum.
Chad and I may have gotten married at by Nicholas Cage.

Elvis was there too.
Evil Kanevil...going back to our Twin Falls roots.

We watched a 4D movie about Fantastic Four....it was ok. I left with a headache.
We ventured to the other side of the strip and saw the other hotels in the older part of the strip. The kids bought me a birthday sash in one of the shops down town. I wore it the whole day and many people wished me a happy birthday!
We went to the top of the Stratosphere and watched a few people bumgee jump. All the rides were closed so we were bummed we missed it.

The night was ended at The Outback eating steak. We tried to go to Bootlegger but we were all starving and there was an hour wait. We all enjoyed our dinner. Even Ry had a kiddie steak! Too cute.
And the finale of my birthday was watching the fountains at the Belagio and walking through the Belagio gardens. Wow, just wow. They are still as breathtaking as ever! And the flower gardens are so creative and cute! It was also fun to wander through the fancy Belagio and see all the fancy people there. The kids were in awe. We sure looked out of place in our flip flops and shorts!

One of the most magical places on Earth. I could sit and watch these all night! I'm so glad we went down to watch. We were a little worried about what the kids would see at night. But it wasn't awful. The worst was the ads on some of the cars that kept driving by on the taxis. But overall, an incredible night!

 Cheers to 40!

Day 2 in Vegas

What did I do for my last day of being 39? Lay by the pool and soak in those sun rays that I wanted to do all trip long! This was our sunniest day and it still wasn't quite as warm as I hoped, but I welcomed it. I laid by the pool and let my kids play. Chad of course was the fun dad and played with the kids for a long time in the pool.

I brought lots of yummy things to make fun drinks with and the kids were all fans of my pina coladas. We had some other fun frozen drinks throughout the week.

Breakfast was out to IHOP and we let the kids get whatever they wanted. The restaurant was full of Chinese tourists, but we got there just in time when they were all about ready to leave.
Next up was the Hollywood Cars museum. Alot of these cars were used in movies or were replicas. We found a lot of cool ones! Here's the DeLorean from Back to the Future!
Batmobile
Umm I've never seen this movie, but I really wanted to take this for a spin with my friends! A Pink limo! Complete with a heart shaped HOT TUB in the back!

Batman and Robin's side car motercycle
I loved all the cars from the movie Cars! Hi Doc and Mater!
Then in the back was a Libberace museum. I had no idea who this guy was, but a quick google search taught me he was a fancy man with way too much money that what was good for him. Still, it was fun to look at all the sparkly things.
Hello Fred Flinstone car! The kids had no idea what this was all about.
Next we visited Red Rock Canyon National Park. It was cool to see all the red rock and formations. We could drive the loop and stop and see what each visit along the way had to offer. There were hikes and cool things to see all along the way.

I really wanted to hike, but to keep everyone happy, we didn't. But I'm glad we drove out to see it.
Next was the arcade and Mini Grand Prix speedway.
The littles had fun doing arcade games and the slower go karts. The big boys had to do the really fast one.
The girls ordered pizza and waited while the boys rode. Pizza wings!

All in all, it was a great day! As I went to bed, I thought back over the 30 years of my life and the large milestones that stood out to me. Most of them revolve around family and vacations and making memories together. I'm glad I have this vacation to add to the memories of my 40th year of life.
