The party continues

After we spent all our money it was time to come home. Chad drove us home and seemed to be just taking his time. I didn't think to much of it because there was no rush to get home. About an hour from home, Chad's phone started blowing up with texts. First from Sam, then from Josh....kinda weird....I decided to check our camera and see if a package I was waiting for had arrived.

Surprisingly I saw two little people on my camera, Tuck and Cam! Soon followed by Jordan and Taylor from IDAHO! What were they doing at my house while we were gone?  I asked Chad why they were there...starting to put 2 and 2 together. He assured me they were NOT at our house and took my phone away so I wouldn't look anymore. (Little did I know that he stole my phone earlier and turned off motion notifications so I wouldn't see everyone arriving.

As we pulled into the neighborhood I recognized a few cars parked just off our street. When we pulled in the garage, the door was littered with old people signs! HAHA! What in the world was going on?!
I walked in and saw my house was decorated and full of people I love! Chad had planned a surprise party for me and I had no clue! It wasn't until about an hour before that I started getting suspicious. Jord and Tay had drove clear to my house to decorate and leave 40 gifts for me! Wow!

Chad had ordered Panda Express for everyone and my friend Stef had made my favorite birthday cupcakes. GUYS! I feel so loved!

This was the spread Jordan left. 40 gifts all from my family. There were shirts and gift cards, a stanley and a watermelon, candy and many more gifts. They had all made a poster of 40 reasons they loved me too. Gosh, I just felt loved and seen.

A large box arrived during the party but i didn't open it until later. It was 40 red roses from Tony! Wow! I've never received roses in a box through the mail before, nor had a bouquet this big! I had so much fun trimming each rose and arranging them! They barely fit in the vase I had!

The following day Mindy and her kids were coming to visit. We were so excited to have them come! After dinner, Mindy insisted the kids run and get a treat from the gas station. They were taking kind of a long time but I wasn't too worried as I was enjoying talking to Mindy. A knock on the door brought ANOTHER surprise! My friends Solly and Sarah had planned a surprise zumba party with Stacy, my favorite zumba instructor. Mindy was even in on the surprise! They whisked me away and blind folded me after I changed into workout clothes.

They drove me to the church where about 15 friends had gathered for a zumba party! The church was decorated and there was food and it was SUCH a fun night!

And the party still wasn't over. My friend Alex picked me up in her "limo" van all decorated and blinged out! She let me pick some cards of my favorite things and that determined what we did for the night! The first stop was a gas station where my friends got me treats for the ride!

Then we went shopping at my favorite store.

And then to Chili's, my favorite restaurant! It was a perfect evening filled with my favorite friends and favorite things!
And of course I found some good scores at Ross and Alex snapped this of me carrying out my goodies!

I've never felt so loved (maybe since my covid birthday) and spoiled by so many people who took time to think of me and celebrate me. I was moved to tears as I opened cards and gifts that were delivered and gifted. I don't think 40 can be this bad with all these good people around me who are SO good to me. Thanks friends! You don't know how much I needed your love!

I was so exhausted from partying I slept alot the next week! But it was the BEST WEEK EVER!

40!

Wow! 40 years have flashed before my eyes! Sometimes I still feel like a teenager in an old body. The wrinkles and creaks from my joints quickly bring me back to my real age though. I dropped a few heavy hints that I'd REALLLLY like Cinnabun for my birthday breakfast. I know my husband loves me because he woke early and drove across town to get me some before I was even out of bed.
We hit the pool again in the morning and I made Mollie do a little birthday photo shoot for me. I mean, it is my birthday!

The photo shoot had a pina colada in a pineapple cup and my birthday coke zero that Chad had custom made for me at the coke store from the day before.

So super cute!

Then I was hot enough and had captured some cute pics, so I did a cannon ball. I'm jumping in feet first to my 40th year. I'm going to make it great. I'm going to be more healthy and take care of my body.
I'm going to have fun and make time to be silly with my kids.
I'm going to prioritize the things that really matter and try to be involved in my kids life as much as possible.
I'm going to make memories and do things I really want to do. Not wasting any time because I'm realizing now, more than ever, that time is short with my kids.
Here's the coke up close.
We saved the wax museum for my birthday! I can say it truly was amazing. The figures are so life like and eerily exact and real. I was reading that the celebs have to undergo rigorous body measurements...something like 200 different body measurements to make it as life like as possible. What a trip. Here's Mol meeting Posty and totally star struck.
Hey Brad!
And Johnny! <3
Rylee was so cute with Taylor capturing selfies on the couch with her.
Chad was excited about the Rock and Tupac.

Carter and I were so excited to stand next to Travis.

Hi Gwen! Its like my 16 year old fan club all gathered for my birthday!
Missy E
And Tim
Ry got on the wrecking ball ....ew...
And there were lots of fun photo opps all through the museum.
Chad and I may have gotten married at by Nicholas Cage.

Elvis was there too.
Evil Kanevil...going back to our Twin Falls roots.

We watched a 4D movie about Fantastic Four....it was ok. I left with a headache.
We ventured to the other side of the strip and saw the other hotels in the older part of the strip. The kids bought me a birthday sash in one of the shops down town. I wore it the whole day and many people wished me a happy birthday!
We went to the top of the Stratosphere and watched a few people bumgee jump. All the rides were closed so we were bummed we missed it.

The night was ended at The Outback eating steak. We tried to go to Bootlegger but we were all starving and there was an hour wait. We all enjoyed our dinner. Even Ry had a kiddie steak! Too cute.
And the finale of my birthday was watching the fountains at the Belagio and walking through the Belagio gardens. Wow, just wow. They are still as breathtaking as ever! And the flower gardens are so creative and cute! It was also fun to wander through the fancy Belagio and see all the fancy people there. The kids were in awe. We sure looked out of place in our flip flops and shorts!

One of the most magical places on Earth. I could sit and watch these all night! I'm so glad we went down to watch. We were a little worried about what the kids would see at night. But it wasn't awful. The worst was the ads on some of the cars that kept driving by on the taxis. But overall, an incredible night!

 Cheers to 40!
