Memorial Day at Grandmas

We had no Memorial Day plans and Chad had the weekend off, so we headed to Moore! We jokingly invited Chet and Mindy and they agreed to come too! We had a good ol time in grandmas yard roasting hot dogs and playing games. There is no other more happy peaceful place than their back yard. I love being there!

One afternoon we drove up to King Mountain and soaked in the views. We were lucky enough to catch some paragliders jumping off the mountain. It was so neat to see. I got quite sick driving up there and coming down! I do not like heights in a car!
There was plenty of 4wheeler riding too. Carter would live there if I'd let him.
Handsome guys on Sunday.
Cute Moe and Mol
Church was real hard after all the playing we did!
Fruit pizza was a must for the holiday and it really hit the spot!

One day we went to Crater's of the Moon to wander around. It was SO windy! Chase and Hollin and Emma and Keeler came out and went with us and we had a good time climbing through caves and over rocks and seeing all the lava formations.

And on Memorial day we visted graves. We haven't done this in years! It was a special moment to hear memories as we sat at the grave sites.
This is Evelyns mom and dad I believe and her brother who was accidentally shot in their home while cleaning guns. What a sad thing to witness and see.
On the way home, I really wanted to stop in Moreland and see my grandparents grave. Gosh I miss these two! They were always a source of comfort to me. I always felt safe with them. They were always warm and welcoming.
I'm so glad that I know families can be together forever. What a great comfort that is to me!

6th Grade Promotion

Bri is done with Elementary School! Hooray! Rose Springs put on the cutest, sentimental program. There were tears and happy times! How did she go through these 6 years so quick?!
She was honored for Student Council and got to walk across the stage when they called her name. Just like graduation.
I made a cute little boquet for her.
Carter and Mollie were very excited for any reason to skip school so they came to support their sister and she was so happy to see them!

Bye Bye Rose Springs!
Peace out, Andrew! He's going to Clark N Johnson next year.

Mrs Nielsen helped her have an amazing 6th grade year.
She's still one of Mollie's favorites.

After the promotion, they had a big 6th grade lake party. And the weather was even pretty decent to swim a bit.

How cool is it to have a 6th grade lake party?! So fun!

 Congrats Brielle!

More Maycember

Track actually held a banquet and fed everyone. It was fun to see Carter and Mollie awarded their letters together.

And I just love this group of guys. They have lifted and carried my son and pushed him to heights he didn't know before. They have been there through the hard, happy and smelly times. They are great examples and most of them are going on missions. They are a stellar group of guys!
and here come a bunch of LASTS...
Last day of Carpool! We have carpooled for several years with the Eastmans and it's been such a life saver! We are sad to see this come to an end. We will miss the fun music, birthdays, gas station stops and the fun chats.

Last Chance Dance

Mollie asked Zhane to the Last Chance Dance at the Drive In and I was chosen to be their photographer. I have a new respect for Photographers now. Lighting, posing and angles and getting their people to smile are real talents!  Here are a few cute ones though.
Matching shirts!

They are quite silly together so the smiles came naturally.

The temple fauna made a beautiful backdrop for some fun ones.
Poor Zhane had a migrane and wasn't feeling super great, but he sure was a trooper. Have fun kids!
