Last night we decided to have some of our friends over that live in the same apartment complex as us. The little "wives group" has gotten to be pretty good friends, but our husbands miss out and don't know everyone as well. Also our friends Beau and Heather are moving so we wanted to have a get together before they left. We had a nacho bar and ate and played games for a few hours. The kids had a p.j./movie party in the back room and watched Cars. It was a really fun night. I think we counted 16 adults in our little house. It was packed! I didn't remember to take pictures until the very end of the night, so these are just a few i got as the party was winding down.

green beans and bananas
So this week Carter got green beans and bananas! We started with green beans first and he didn't even pull a face! He loved them! As you can see with the bananas, he wasn't very thrilled about them, but he ate them pretty well too. He's really liking all these new flavors we are introducing to him i think! And he loves his new bumbo chair mom and dad bought for him. It makes eating so much easier!

Carter's first time with rice cereal
We started Carter on solid foods on Sunday. He is 4 months old now! Rice cereal was his first real supper! He liked it, but we couldn't feed him fast enough to keep him satisfied. We'll have to try next time when he isn't so hungry! We also started giving him apple juice to regulate him a little bit and he LOVES apple juice. In one week we get to start #1 baby foods. I think we'll start with bananas!

New TV
As many of you know, I had some friends Mark & Tiffany play santa clause for us while we were on our trip. Chad has been bugging me forever to get a new tv and i finally gave in. He had no idea that i even bought it. While were were gone, mark and tiffany delivered our TV to our front room. I made a little video of him walking into the house. He loves his new tv.
California Trip & Disneyland
We had a really great time at California. Because the roads were so bad it took us 14 HOURS just to get to Vegas. But we finally made it. Carter did pretty good considering everything. but he was ready to be out of his carseat! We stayed at Circus Circus so when we got there we just walked around the casino and circus area. It was too late to go out and do anything else. The next day we got up and drove to Palm Springs where we met my brothers girlfriend and a family that helped him a lot on his mission. They fed us an AMAZING mexican dinner. Then we went to church with them the next morning in the Spanish branch. Not a clue what was said that day, but atleast it was their christmas program so there was lots of music. We went to our hotel in Anaheim and sat in the hot tub. it felt really great. The next day was Disneyland day and we woke up to lots and lots of rain. We just put on our ponchoes and went anyway. It was nice because the lines werent long for any of the rides and i actually got to ride most of them while mom hung out with Carter since she doesnt like rollercoasters. My favorite ride was one that makes you feel like you're flying. Dont remember the name, but it was great! By about lunch time the rain stopped and it was like 50 degrees. Not too bad! Then we went back to our hotel, slept, and woke up and drove to Cedar City for the last night in a hotel. We got up bright and early wednesday morning and drove the rest of the way home. the roads were much better on the way home and i was very greatful for that! Overall, it was a great trip!
