Pinners Conf!

Forever i have wanted to have sisters I could take weekend trips with and do fun things! I finally talked all my sister in laws into coming to SLC for Pinners conf! Ever since covid happened I've been telling Chad I wanted a girls weeked away...it only took 2 years for it to happen!!

We met up at the hotel and went to dinner and then to the mall! So fun to be with sister!!! After shopping we went back to the hotel and sat in the hot tub...that was really just a warm tub...and connected and laughed and cried well into the evening. I sure love these ladies!
The next morning we went to Pinners Conf!  We signed up to take a hair class and a churro class.
We were all so excited to learn to make churros and we were dissapointed to learn that it was more of a business pitch to sell his churro kits. It was an add water mix that you stuffed into his fancy gun.

But we of course had to try them so we waited in line for a good 30 min until we could try these! And they were really yummy!

I liked the hair class more than i thought I would. And I actually learned some things. I tried this new curling technique the next day and I really liked it!
We had so much fun shopping all the booths and finding treasures! We climbed into a photo bus and got this as a result.

I hope we have MANY of these girls trips in our future!!! it was so refreshing to get away!!

My kids at the temple

Nov kicked off with some really special days! Brielle is preparing for baptism so we hired our amazing photographer, Alex, to capture this beautiful moment! After showing Bri a few pictures of temples that were close enough to do her shoot at, she decided on Bountiful, because she is a 'nature girl' and it looked like Bountiful was in the mountains in nature. I loved that. So we headed off to Bountiful on a beautiful fall day.

I'll be honest, i had a winter shoot in mind for Bri with her Dec birthday and baptism in Jan, but sunshine and fall leaves was pretty great too. No matter what season, the temple grounds are gorgeous!
I love this beautiful, pure girl!

Alex is always so great with my kids. She is incredible at what she does and is always taking breaks to show the kids the picture in the camera!
And she goes to great lengths to get the perfect shot!
Bountiful also has a big B on the mountainside. We were hoping to get that in the background of some but just didn't quite have the right light. But that made this place even more special!! B for Brielle & Bountiful!
I'll share her images in the next post.
I also stole Carter out of school for a mom and son temple trip! I really enjoy these days and can't wait for Mol to join us next year.
We went bowling at Scheels real quick and he talked me into lunch at the Olive Garden

I love taking my kids to the temple and try to do it every chance I get. My hope is that it will help them know the importance of going to the temple and make it a goal to always be worthy to enter. It is the closest place to God on earth that we can be and obeying its covenants you enter into there will bring you the greatest happiness you can find. I hope all my kids will strive to be temple worthy!!

Halloween Festivities

We were really late this year in getting our pumpkins carved, but we got it done and Chad turned on Christmas music while we carved! Grandpa Reed grew these pumpkins in his garden.

Carter was dead set on being a dino but they are so expensive. But I finally found one in Salt Lake for $20 and made arrangements to pick it up. It was really funny watching him run around the house. And Jilly did NOT like it.

Bri dressed in my old uniform for one of the school dress up days. She wants to be a cheerleader when she grows up!
The dance studio had a party...wow SO much candy!!!
Bri's real costume was Evie from Decedents. How cute is she with her blue hair!

I helped with school parties so i was able to catch this cute bunch of kids all dressed up!
I didn't wan't to but I did finally have to dress up for something...I can't even remember what.
Must have been the ward party.
On Halloween night we figured we'd try out our new neighborhood. The Eash famiy joined us and we had great success going in our neighborhood. Carter and Mollie had friends come along (Trin & Tucker) and they went a little longer than the younger ones.

The evening was perfect and coats weren't even needed! It was so nice! Ry and I came back to pass out candy for a while and she got so much candy. She was running from house to house and we had a hard time keeping up with her!
She and the others all had atleast FIVE full size candybars. They were so excited!!
After one of the halloween events, Ry crashed on the couch.
Fresh halloween nails!!
A cute ballerina skeleton.
A nerd.
We also visited the pirate house again this year. It was a clown theme this year. Its so amazing what some people do for a holiday! The older kids were a little iffy about the house but Rylee loved it and asked to go through again, so we did!

Mollie reached into a candy bowl that they had there just in time for a clown to reach out and grab her. She screamed and threw her handful of candy into the air. Silly girl!
Happy Halloween!!! Glad its over!! ;)
