FLORIDA!!!!!!

For Chad's 40th birthday I really wanted to surprise him with a trip! I thought it would be fun to take the big kids on a trip since we had planned lots of fun things. We kicked off the trip with pedicures of course! G&G Reed came to stay with the littles and we took of to the land of the SUN!

When we arrived in FL, we were greeted by this giant flamingo! Mollie exclaimed, "I feel like I'm home!" and ran an gave it a hug. How cute is this?! Behind it was the cutest shop that was all things flamingo!

We got settled in our Air BNB and went to dinner at Outback steak house to kick it all off! Carter ordered burgers almost every day we were there!

We woke up and got ready to get our fun on at the water park! This was at our house. It was so green and pretty! 

Adventure Island is AMAZING! Wow, we rode the best water slides we've ever ridden. And since 80 degrees is cold to the locals, it was pretty empty and we walked on almost every ride. It was incredible! We rode so many rides, lounged around for a while soaking in the sun and rode some more! 

Seriously the most amaing slides!!

When we had our share of thrills we hit up a local ice cream shop and Mollie got a waffle thing with hers. It was tasty!

That evening, we rode down to Siesta Key. THEEE MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACH IN THE WORLD!!!! The bathroom floors were fun to look at. 

And this WHITE SAND was powdery soft. It felt like you were walking in baking soda. So soft and pretty! When we pulled up there were signs everywhere for the sandcastle competitions. Some had already gotten started. It was so cool to see them! 

Mollie immediately got to shelling. She found many treasures. 

It seriously felt so amazing to be there. All worldly cares melted and I was taken back by our worlds beauty. We WILL be back to this beach. It was perfect!

The water was warm and I even got in chest deep! 

Mollie found a whole clam! There's a little guy in there peeking out at us. We'd try to open it and it would snap closed. Kinda creepy!

The sunset here was breath taking! When the sun started to set, couples gathered together in the water and watched the last seconds of sunlight disappear for the day. Carter was thrilled to death when he stepped on some glasses in the water and found himself some glasses! Ha!

We waited until it was nearly dark and then left for food. We found the cutest cantina by the beach with live music. We sat on the patio, ate ok food and drank terrible margaritas and sang along with the cute guy jamming out. It was a perfect evening! Minus the margarita!

On to DAY 2 OF FUN!

Halloween Things

Halloween was fun this year! Carter was invited to a Harry Potter themed party with his friends and was asked to come as Hagrid. I don't have lots of HP knowledge but this is the best we could come up with. HAHA He had a good time though.

This was a pretty spooky look for Rylee's friend after Rylee tossed a toy at her and hit her in the head!!! Poor Shay!

We missed our trunk or treat due to the finals game (also ruined a trip to a boise football game, but its fine) so we hit up another wards! Rylee was thrilled to find her buddy there.

We hit up the pirate house as usual and its creepily awesome. How they come up with all they do is a mystery to me!

Brielle was a glow unicorn. Super cute. 

I attempted a spooky meal of pasta and sauce...i mean witch fingers and blood and guts and brains and burnt snakes....weren't supposed to be burnt. 

Ash and Brandt came trick or treating with us on halloween. the kids had a blast running through the neighborhood as we tried to keep up! Our neighborhood is so awesome at halloween!

Like really!

Ry was the first one home. When her bag got too heavy to carry she was good and came home.

These girls went on forever and even hit a few more houses up on the hill when we took Ash home. They had SO much!

Here's another fun house up on the hill. they are all decked out for every holiday. 

Happy Halloween! This was the first year I just decided to embrace it. And it was a fun season.
