An update on me

A friend cornered me at the gym one day and begged me to come work at Ken's Gym for her. I wasn't super happy at Rage and working at a big gym like this has been a dream of mine. I told her I'd be willing to have a conversation with the boss to see if it would even work out. It did and I quit Rage and I start here in Aug! I will be coaching a pre gymnastics competing team. They are 4-5 year olds. Crazy, but cute.

I also fulfilled another dream of seeing Kenny Chesney live! It was a great night and Chad tolerated me singing at the top of my lungs all night! Yeehaw!

 

Elite Cup

Next up, the Elite Cup! The funnest tournament ever! They are 4x champions of this cup and they always play incredibly under the lights!

The 4th at Lagoon

We started our typical 4th of July with the parade.  Mollie decided to be in it with her soccer peeps and Carter ran the freedom run.  He did so well.

We sat with Sam and kids but we missed Nan who was at work. 

Then we did something different! We had no parties or anything planned so we went to Lagoon! It really was a great time to go and crowds started clearing out about 4.

We had a great day together!

The kids have never rode Haunted Mansion so Chad made sure to scream extra loud to help with the excitement.

And then we watched firework shows from the car all the waay home. It wasn't our typical day, but we really loved it!!

 I'm so very thankful for this country and the freedoms I enjoy.

No more Brace Face

After a good 18 months, Carter was able to get his braces off!! Yay! How grown up does he look in the second picture! Such a cute kid with a handsome smile! Watch out ladies!

 

Hymas Campout

The Hymas campout is always full of excitement and this year was no exception. We had the boat and a camper packed up and we hit the road for lots of fun! The first night we hit up Maddox so no one would have to worry about cooking the first day. 

Lots of boating was done and we even got Konnor out in the boat with us. 

The Hymas men rocked cooking as usual and we did our fries and chicken strips again.

Poor Evelyn got some sort of flu bug and was SO sick the entire time. I felt so bad for her. Chad ended up taking her  to the ER for fluids in the middle of the night. Poor thing.

It was a super great week! Minus the ER visits. (Kayson also ended up there!) Its always eventful with this group!

 

Clean up day at mom & dads

To help ease some of mom and dads worries before they left, we had a cleanup day for them at the house. The guys built the new mower and hauled stuff to the dump. The girls helped with some things inside. 

We ended the work day with 4wheeler rides and a hot dog roast. Oh and sparklers.

We also scheduled a play day where we went to the park and played games and went over to the city pool to swim. It was a hot day so it felt lovely!

 

I'll miss these get togethers in the open country air when they are gone but I hope we get to enjoy them again soon. 

When we left my mom said she found this letter from Rylee. Too cute!
