The 4th

We had a lovely 4th! All except for Chad being on night shift! He worked all night and then came home and ran his 5k! Carter ran also and they both did awesome!

A bunch of Carter's XC friends ran it too. One was dressed as a banana!
We sat in our usual spot with the Eash clan! And we took up enough space that no one dared to sit in front of us!

Proud of both of these guys! Chad finished in under 30 min and Carter placed in his age group.

We were promised a fly over from some big jets and they delivered! They were a bit late but it was still cool to see them for a few seconds. They were gone as fast as they came!

Love this guy!
And America too!
And these kiddos and dog too!

Since Chad had to get to work, we had our fun in the afternoon! We had the Rowley's over to swim and eat and hang out!

I highly reccomend you get some friends who will sit in floaties in the pool with you!

That night we did go to fireworks after Chad went off to work. We actually got a pretty good spot and got off the street before it got too crazy!

We truly are so blessed to be in America! We have so many freedoms and dreams just sitting at our feet. We literaly can reach the stars here. I've realized how fortunate we are after visiting other countries! I love the USA!

Miss Tooele

When I saw that I knew most of the girls running for Miss Tooele, I knew that I had to go! I secretly love watching pagents like this and have been obsessed since I was a kid...not really sure from what, but I do enjoy a good talent show.

All the ladies looked stunning in their dresses!
Our cute old neighbor won Miss Teen Tooele. That was so exciting for her and us! It's incredible to see the person she has grown into!

Miss Eva from my old cheer team was crowned Miss Tooele! She was a runner up last year and tried again, and won! She's an incredible person!
The other 2, Makayla and Sage. Makayla was in our ward years ago and came from a pretty sad home life and disturbing situations. She rarely talked and I always just felt sad for her. She has turned into an  INCREDIBLE young lady and has used her trials in life to conquer the world. Wow. I was blown away.

And Sage, ah! I just love this girl with my whole heart. She has a heart of gold and was also on my cheer team and would do anything for anyone. She was always the first to act when we asked her to do something. She's a true leader and wants to be the Mayor some day! Such a stunning individual. I'm so glad I got the pleasure of watching these girls go far!

Hymas Reunion 26

The Hymas Reunion kicked off for another year! Sadly, this year not many people came for the majority of the time. But we still had fun! It was just our family out in the boat but we had Grandma tag along for the day. We loved having her and I only dumped her out of her chair once!

She even went for a tube ride. I'm sure glad that my kids will have memories like this of doing fun things with their grandma.
We even talked Carter into a tube ride.
These girls begged to go to the library so they could have a book for camping. I didn't want to because they usually don't read them. But they both were little book worms and were often found in the hammock reading.
Kenzie and Chaz's fam showed up for an afternoon. These girls didn't miss a beat and were off exploring and making sculptures out of mud.
This guy kept up on his running and went for a run around the lake each morning. Which resulted in a tired guy! He sure works hard!
He fell in love with a cowboy hat and had many compliments from all his cousins on how good he looked and that he needed one. He went home and bought one a few weeks later.
One evening we had a pretty good crew with Chaz's fam and Chase and Hollin showing up. Konnor came for most of the time and Cami and Chuck and Mason were present for the whole time. We really enjoyed laughing and talking around the fire and enjoying a good meal.

That last night the rain hit! It rained and rained all night and rained some more once we got up. We had to pack camp up in the mud and had a fire going to warm us occasionally...but it was also wet so it was more of a smoke bomb than anything. We were an absolute mess, soaking wet and muddy! I hate wet camping so much!
We did manage to grab one last picture before we left camp. We did have an amazing time and glad we can always go. Just hated for it to end the way it did. I would have stayed one more day to let things air out if the campsite was free, but it wasn't sadly. So we hauled it all home soaking wet and power washed everything. All our camp gear has never been cleaner! I guess that's a plus!

 Happy (dry) camping!

Celebrations

We got to start June with a baby blessing! Sweet baby Chase was blessed by his dad, Adam and we got to be there for it. He is such a mellow happy baby and we all really enjoyed passing him around!
The traditional hat picture from Carter.
My friend Robin turned 40 and had a  'death to her 30s' party. We were to wear black. It was a fun evening catered by Costa Vida with a full drink bar and candy bar. She rented a dance floor and yard games and a photo booth too! Fun evening!
Rylee celebrated all week while her sisters were at YW camp and Carter was at FSY. Ice cream was just the begining of her fun single child week!
And when it was time to go pick up Carter from FSY, we figured we'd have a little celebration of our own! We've always wanted to go do a session at the temple where we were sealed but in 20 years time we haven't done it! Since we had to go up there anyway, I booked us a room and scheduled the apt. We really enjoyed walking the grounds and remembering all the places we took pictures.
We did get to do a session too.
And we found the bence we took pics on. I could have sworn we were standing on the bench for this pic, but here we are 20 years ago, standing in the snow in the same spot!
Then we went to The Beehive Grill in Logan...OMG...soooooo good. This was Chad's burger!
I had yummy pasta and then we both got gelato go. YUMMM,
Next up, Father's Day! We sure love this guy and so when he requested biscoff pancakes, that is just what he got!
We showered him with appreciation and gifts and really enjoyed him being home.
We don't look to shabby! And he especially is looking good, continuing to lose weight and hit a SIXTY POUND weight loss! Sure proud of you dear!

We clean up pretty good sometimes! We sure created an amazing family! I can't imagine life without any of you!
And Chad kind of gets the short end of the stick because he always cooks for Mother's Day and then turns around again and does it for Fathers Day! He always wants things I don't cook. But we all enjoyed his efforts very very much! He does so much for us and his selfless and kind attitude keep our family strong and happy and healthy. We love you!
And lastly, Rylee had a summer concert where they got to play some fun songs! They played the Oompa Loompa song and that was ver fun for her.
G&G Reed came to support! We had a great time with them going for ice cream after and swinging by the temple to enjoy the sunset and flowers.
I love summer and all the freedom and fun we have to do things! Lets keep the fun rolling!
