Thanksgiving week

The weekend before Thanksgiving we took off for a 10 day trip to Idaho! We had some rental things to take care of in Twin Falls and got to see some great friends while we were there and then we went to my moms for the week while Chad went back to Utah to work for a few days. It was fun getting to help my mom with Thanksgiving festivities. Carter and Mollie stayed busy playing with toys and dress up clothes and were really good the whole week. The kids even got in on helping make rolls, cheese ball and pies. We had a turkey-less thanksgiving because a pie spilled in the oven and by the time my mom got it cooled down cleaned up it was time to put the turkey in but we still had one more pie to bake. So we threw the turkey in the roaster oven with 4 hours to cook....it wasn't long enough. At 9PM our turkey was finally finished. But there is always so much food at family gatherings it wasn't missed at all! Our Reed family gathered Wed night at my parents house for dinner. We all sat around the ping pong table and ate and shared what we were thankful for. My grandparents were able to come and it is always so humbling to hear the things they are grateful for. All week long everyone kept feeling the need to photograph my pregnant belly! Don't mind the shots where the flash shows right through my shirt!! Thursday morning we went to Arco to have yet another Thanksgiving dinner and spend a few days there. We really got our share of goodies there. On Saturday my cousin Ericka threw a "baby sprinkle" for me. It was fun to see more family and get together. We played a few games and ate yummy food. One funny game was called Tinkle in the Pot where you had to walk with a ping pong ball between your knees and drop it into a jar at the other end. Not as easy as it might sound!! The baby got some really cute things including a crocheted bee costume from my aunt. (My dad raises bees so bees are the new rage at our house!) By sunday I was completely exhausted and we headed for home with a completely loaded down car. We got a flat tire on top of Malad summit and had to unload our whole car to change the tire and pay quite a bit of money to get someone to come sell us a new tire. But it was so worth it to be home and sleep in my own bed after 10 days of being gone! Now its time to hunker down and get christmas all taken care of and get this baby girl here!!

Chad's birthday

So my SD card was ruined and i lost ALOT of pictures! But I wanted to make sure that Chad's birthday got in our blog book even though there are no birthday pictures to go with it. Chad had to work on his birthday but the kids were waiting by the door to celebrate once he walked through the door. We had cake before dinner and played for a while and then we were off on a kid free date! We saw Thor and ate at Panda Express. I'm so grateful I found Chad and the man he has become and wonderful person he is to me and our children. I've learned alot from him this year and am so glad I married someone who makes me want to be better. This last year has had its rocky moments, but he has been my anchor and rock through the tough times. He always knows what I need and how to make me feel better. I'm truly glad for birthdays because I think our hard working men often get brushed under the rug and taken for granted. I'm glad there is atleast one day a year we get to celebrate him. Love you Chad!

Joy School + Halloween = Loads of fun

Mollie has loved her little joy school group here in Tooele and so have I! We go on monthly field trips to places like candy factorys, horse riding places, and of course CORNBELLYS! Which is located at Thanksgiving Point near Lehi. It was my first year going and we could have spent all day there because there was so much to do. Mollies favorite things was a whole barn they had filled with hard corn like the kind pigs eat like a giant sand box. They could burry themselves in it and she didn't want to come out! The Princess area was also a favorite complete with a princess blow up jump house, a dress up station and a horse and carriage to ride in. And of course we had to have a halloween party for the kids! One mom put read some cute books and songs and poems to the kids and then they did a craft and made a spooky snack. It was a really fun time. Mollie chose to be a witch for her first halloween party. It was the first costume of 3 that we went through! This girl is super indecisive!

Pumpkin Bumpkins

Who knew there would be SO many options of pumpkin patches to visit! Welcome to Utah! We decided to go with a simple local one this year and I was glad. We found some great pumpkins for cheap and the kids loved picking out their perfect pumpkin. Mollie is super indecisive so we had to drag her out of the patch with a pumpkin dad finally picked out but it was an enjoyable evening nonetheless. Carter wanted a Superman pumpkin like his Uncle Jordan had carved (which someone ended up stealing off of his front step!) and Mollie wanted a Minnie one. As usual, I scooped out the guts and dad did the carving. Carter and Mollie got a little more into cleaning them out this year but not much. And Chad still wont touch the stuff! But I'd rather scrape out pumpkin guts than carve out Minnie Mouse any day! And I couldnt resist this photo op of chads pumpkin and my bump!

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?!

Since we have moved to Utah Chads BSU colors have really shown through. He's fighting the urge of everyone around him to cheer for USU, BYU or U of U. It's sad to go into stores and only see Blue and Red in the sporting section and not the BLUE & ORANGE we love to see! It's rare to find a bronco fan here and when we do its pretty exciting! Since our family is the only Bronco fans around we decided to make our game nights more of a family affair this year with good food, dressing up and loud cheering. So every week we all dress up and sport our blue and orange! It makes for a fun time and the kids look forward to it. It seemed only fitting that we should attend the BYU vs BSU game and cheer our team on when they came to Provo. So mom and dad graciously took our kids and my niece and nephew and we headed to the game! I had about a million contractions walking to our seats, but was glad there was a ramp up to out seats and didnt have to climb many stairs. The weather was perfect and we were right in the middle of a sea of Blue and White but the fans all around us were very kind and we had a really great time despite the outcome of the game. One of my new favorite sayings is "Keep Calm and BRONCO on." We love Bronco Nation!!

All things FALL

At the beginning of October we took off to the mountains for a fall picnic. I truly love having "the mountains" 5 minutes from my house. The views and colors were stunning and the cool mountain air was refreshing. We had a picnic and did some exploring and played in the leaves. After lunch we went on a walk and found lots of fallen acorns from acorn trees. Something I had never seen before and the kids enjoying picking them up as we walked along. I couldn't help but feel incredibly grateful for our beautiful amazing world we live in and for my sweet little family that I got to share it with. Here are some pictures from that day.
