4th grade program

Carter's whole 4th grade put together a program about Utah. They really did a great job and each class had a dance or talking parts to say.

Carters was a country square dance and he did SO good! It was fun to see him dance. He's really growing to like dancing.

Mother's Day

We were in Idaho for Mother's Day weekend at Clyde and Evelyn's house since we had gone to Kloe's baptism the same weekend. It was such a nice relaxing day. The kids were mostly happy...a few problems...but I really enjoyed the day.
We really love that our kids get to be so close to BOTH sets of grandparents and have them involved in their lives. Clyde and Evelyn especially make an effort to be there for games and things and that means a lot to us all! And I know the kids will remember it.
Chad we pretty good to me and got me a few treats and gifts and Clyde gave me a corsage.
Love this little tribe who made me a mom. Sometimes I don't feel so grateful for the mom life, but at the same time I love being able to be the one they go to when they need help or are hurt or scared. I sometimes joke that I hate hearing the word MOM, MOM over and over again. But I'm glad they will call for me and still need my help because I know that some day it'll change. There are too many precious moments that I wouldn't trade anything for.
And my mom in law has always been so good to me. She has treated me with kindness and love from day 1. She is a good lady with a heart of gold. We love her dearly!
And I'm grateful to her always for raising the man she did to be the father of our children. I know she had a big part in who he has turned out to be and I will always love her for it.
We got to chat with my mom later in the day and I was glad she was having a good day and that all the kids had called her. I too was raised by good parents who believed in me and loved me through everything. And I truly believe that good parents are what make good, kind, dependable kids. Thanks mom for being everything to me through my growing years and sacrificing the things you did for me. And for always being there still through my adult life. We have the best MOMS!

Kiddos

Sometimes I just need to add in the random every day shots I get of my kids because I just love them so much! This was Mollies egg drop creation (that we threw together the morning of!) The egg was tucked into a roll of toilet paper and we taped balloons all around it and added a grocery sack for an air balloon effect. It worked! It didn't break! Mom win.
I heard lots of giggles from the bathroom one day and I went to see what was going on and they were all so pleased that they each could fit under each other's chins. How cute is that?! These girls can be so sweet to each other and play so well (it can also be totally opposite!) But I cherish these days and moments.

Then they had to ty it out with Carter. Not as successful, but still cute.

It's not often this girl snuggles up to take a nap with me but I love it when she does! It makes me sad she's growing up so fast! She is the sweetest little thing!

This kid....has a HUGE mouth. Man we laughed hard when one night he said, "Look mom I can put my fist in my mouth!" We then had to take a picture comparing mouths because his is so big and Mine is so small!

Little Ry loves to play with dollies and so often she is curled up in a corner (or on a table) with all her things playing quietly and so cutely. This day, the sun was shining perfectly on her blonde hair and he just looked so tiny and sweet sitting there. This in one I'll remember forever.
And Carter was so excited to try out his new tent once school was out and his good dad helped him set it up. He slept so well out there by himself. He's growing so much too!
We really have some great kids. They are sweet and kind and helpful. We have our moments but I really love them to pieces. They are what makes my heart beat and my drive for being the person I am today. Love you kiddos!

Kloe and Camry

2 big events happened in our family in April! Miss Kloe, our niece was baptized! We traveled up to Poky to share her special day.
And all these cute cousins were thrilled to be together.
Kloe's dress was cut and sewn by Evelyn from Chelseys WEDDING DRESS! It was so pretty and Evelyn really did a great job!

And we couldn't have passed through town without stopping to see our other NEW niece! Baby Camry was born on May 7! Jordan and Taylor did a really good job getting her here safely and healthy. ALLLLL the kids were in heaven holding her and looking at all her tiny features. There may have been a fight or 2 over who got to hold her.

Oh she is so sweet!!!! Loved getting to snuggle a brand new baby and smell that new baby smell again! We love you Camry Jo!

2nd piano recital

Our little miss is moving right along with her piano lessons! She had the opportunity to play from one of her teachers books that she played from as a girl. She thought that was pretty neat.

It's always amazing to me how quick she is catching on to piano! I hope she stays with it and continues to love it. She really did so well!

She paused for a minute in her performance trying to find the right keys and I thought it was over so I started clapping...ooops.... it wasn't over yet. But I think the only one who noticed was Christina!
It's amazing all that Christina does and how patient she is! We have loved learning from her.
Great job Mol! Keep working hard!

1st Royals game!

With soccer taking over our lives it was only fitting that we accepted some free tickets to see the Pro women's soccer team in SLC play! Mol was excited and was very interested in the game, and also the snacks!
Here she is holding the soccer ball in her hand!
Mini "soccer" - like mini golf. So fun!
 First view of the field.
Just mom and dad and the girls. Carter had a baseball game he wanted to go to so we left him with a friend.
 The team on the field!
We found one of her team mates and enjoyed the 2nd half of the game with them.
They won! And it was a fun evening with our girls.

Student of the MONTH!

I was so happy when I got the notice that Carter would be May's student of the month! Sterling does a special assembly for the kids and the teacher tells why they picked the kid.
Mrs Marburger, his 4th grade teacher, nominated him for being respectful in the classroom and towards her. THAT makes me proud as a parent. Knowing that my kids are respectful is a BIG thing to me. We are so proud of his accomplishment.

 We celebrated with Hokulia! YUM!
