Love from Indiana

The kids were so excited when a Christmas package from Indiana from G&G Hymas showed up on our porch. They always send super cute, thoughtful gifts. Each kid was so excited to have their own treat bag and lots of popcorn and candy to share. Look at these happy faces!!

They also sent all the kids missionary tags with Bro/Sis Hymas on it. SO COOL!

I was most excited about this cinnamon licorice! WOW it was tasty!

We miss grandma and grandpa and can't wait to see them in a few short months. Their mission time has flown by for us and we are grateful for the relationship we have created with them while they've been gone. I love their examples and stories they share with my kids. They are so wonderful to us even from afar! 7 more months grandma and grandpa!

My tiny gymnast

Rylee was so excited to have her tumbling recital! Because of covid they rented out a building where they usually do the circus! They brought in hard floors...It was a different experience for sure to have a stage in the middle of the dirt! But look how cute she looks!  Oh I don't want her to grow up!

She did SO awesome and I was so impressed with what she could do!
And my gymnastic loving mom heart almost burst when for the ending stunt she pushed up into her back bend with so much power and strength and had the best looking one of the bunch! Look at her! She loves gymnastics and is always wanting to work on it!
And of course we showered her with lots of love and a candy lei at the end of her performance. Sure love this little cutie!!!

A new TOY

Back in Oct we went and test drove a new boat. I didn't know that this would be part of our plan for 2020, but somehow it was!!! After jumping through a few hoops we finally brought it home early December! It's green and black and needs some TLC but is in good working condition and has all the bells and whistles Chad has wanted in a boat.
And the biggest deal is we all fit!!! And there's PLENTY of room for everyone and the bough is open for even MORE room! We won't know what to do with all this space! But it will make our boating experiences much much more pleasant!
We can't wait for SUMMER!!!!!!

Bunco White Elephants

It's always a good time at Dec Bunco! I knew there would be a common "2020 pandemic" theme, so I went with this lovely wreath to give complete with a failed Trump flag (He lost the 2020 election, a murder hornet, Lysol sticker, mask and a little bit of TP.
Maria got some 6 ft social distancing sticks! HAH!
Anne got a whole pandemic kit complete with a hazmat suit!
The cat came back!
And this was my prize...oh its hideous!

Good times, good friends, good laughs!!!

A very quarantine birthday to you!

Brielley turned 7 this month! Wow time just flies! She, as usual, was so very excited about her special day. She was up early and squealed over her knew vtech watch and the donuts dad brought for her.
She had school so she quickly dressed and again was so excited to share her treats with her friends at school.
Chippy the elf came and threw some birthday decor on the tree for her special day!
And when dad got home we opened presents!
She makes the best surprised faces.

We had planned a birthday party for that weekend but 3 of the 5 friends we invited were in quarantine! So we postponed the party til January. In its place, Chad and I took her to dinner and shopping all on her own! She chose Cafe Rio!
After that we drove around and looked at christmas lights and then came home and had cupcakes. Even though some of her plans were ruined, she was very gracious and still happy.  I love this girl and the love she has for life and for everyone. She gets so excited over the simplest things and I hope she keeps her happy, easy going, loving attitude. She brings me so much light in the dark of winter and I'm so glad she came to us when she did. We love you Brielle! I hope you know how special you are!

Bathroom renovation!

When Chad suggested a bathroom renovation in early November, I flat out laughed at him. He said he'd have it done by Christmas. I was skeptical. Any other year, a bathroom reno during the holidays would be the dumbest idea ever. But this year is different. This year we have alot more open time whether because it is forced or because of cancelations. I thought about it for a few days, and checked our schedule, which was very open, and then told him to go for it!

We both worked tearing things out of it and prepping it to be painted. Chad worked on fixing several errors of the previous owners and had big chunks of the wall cut out to fix the plumbing. He's such a handy guy!
I got the bathroom painted and we decided to go with white bead board on the bottom.
And WOW it turned out SO pretty!!!! New paint, new floor, new shower curtain, mirror, vanity, sink and light fixture. It is SO bright too because it I talked Chad into running some wire to have a light above the vanity instead of only the light fan.

Chad did an AMAZING job! This bathroom went from being my least favorite to my favorite!!!!!! And it was finished on DEC 23rd!!!!!!

Dec is here!

We kicked off the new month of Dec with peppermint ice cream! I felt lots of excitement for this slower, easier Christmas season.
Me and Mollie snuck off to the Tree of Life in Draper one evening after a soccer game. It is quite the sight! And so bright!
The park is covered in these ball things. Mollie looks like a blueberry!
And I just love sitting in the glow of my Christmas tree. It brings me so much peace and happiness!
Bring on the season!
