Reed Reunion Luau Part 1

We were SUPPOSED to be camping for the Reed Reunion this year that Chad and I were in charge of. At the last minute, my mom called me and said that it was going to rain every day we were camping and they really wanted to buy an air bnb that everyone could fit in and have it there instead. I was very hesitant because of the cost. But they insisted they didn't care. So instead of rainy Mantua res, we were at a house in Logan.

We arrived, the house was great and the games began! We started with hawaiian charades. The theme was Hawaiian.

I had a ton of fun figuring out food and games and decor. Thanks pintrest for making me look goooood!

We had a drink tiki bar and everyone had their own cup. These were super fun too so anyone could go make a fun drink at any time!
We had an Idaho day where we all wore our Idaho shirts that we made to celebrate our heritage.
Between rain showers, we went to the park and played volleyball and round net and 4 square game.
While we played, the littles dug for shells that magically appeared in the sand.
Back at the house the games continued with mango wars and lei tosses.
Grandpa entertained the grands with a fake airplane ride.
The littles ran around blowing bubbles and playing games.
Jord and Tay made us some pineapple upside down cake!
Mollie greeted everyone with some ukuele music and played it throught the weekend.

Every night we awarded the Big Kahuna! Whoever showed most Hawaiian spirit and participated in the games won a nice Big Kahuna head dress and candy.
Some of them pretended they were at the beach and did yoga outside.
We crafted and fished (at grandmas pond) for fun little treasures.
Then it was time for a hog hunt. The men in the family needed to hunt for a pig to cook for dinner! Knife throwing ensued once the pig was found!
More hula hoop games...warming our hips (and our necks) up for the big Hula!

One evening we escaped to the creamery for ice cream! The kids were delighted by this COW-CH.

We couldn't be that close to the logan temple without swinging by and taking our famous picture. Such a special spot!

I loved staying up late and chatting with my sibs and eating to much and laughing till I peed. Sure love this gang of mine and we sure needed some happy bonding times! More coming right up!

End of Sports and Start of SUMMER

Carter played his last season on flag football. I was glad he could still play another season since things with HS football didn't work out for him. He played with his tackle football team and his old coach.
Him and Talon have been good buddies.
This pic was after losing the last game, so they were bummed. These kids were a little hard for me, so I was glad to see the season end.
AND THIS HAPPENED! Carter got his driving permit!! AHHHH! Its a whole new level of scary when your kid is behind the wheel with all the knowledge he has is from what you have taught him! WHY in the world don't they take Drivers ed first here?! It makes no sense. However, after a few stern lessons, he is catching on quick and doing well.

These girls were in heaven when our neighbors had puppies! They went over often to play with them. The owners were so great as all the neighborhood kids congregated in their yard.

Cute family!

Cute hubby and dog!

Miss Mollie had an opportunity to go to 2 YW camps. She went with her ward and also to Brighton camp. She went with Brynlee and it was fun seeing them leave and come home and have a bunch of new friends and silly experiences.

All clean dropping them off!
Tired and dirty picking them up!

And also beads in the hair!
A cold morning hike is the only picture I got of girls camp this year! I think the weather was cold for them because it was so early in the year, but they made the most of it!

HERES TO SUMMER STARTING!! WOOOOO! Get ready for many adventures!

Rylee is 8!

My toothless, chocolate and barbie - loving baby is EIGHT! I have told her for years that she can turn 8 so she can get baptized but then after that, she can't grow up anymore!!!  I wish I could freeze this age. She is just happy and cute and very smart and self sufficient!

We went over Memorial day to a park to ride bikes and and since she was getting a bike for her bday, we gave it to her a few days early so she could enjoy it. Here is her new bike!

She crashed hard on the way home. I'm glad she's still little enough to sleep on mom's arm.
She did great riding her new big girl bike!
On the morning of her bday, she woke up to a tower of gifts and lots of excitement. There's something about being the youngest that makes everyone super excited on your bday.
She was given LOTS of Barbie stuff.

Her party was later at the city pool. Of course we had to make floaty tube cup cakes with a little bear cracker in it.

All the party friends!

Shae got to come over afterwards and play longer and go to dinner with us.
Love these cute girls and their friendship!
Rylee was ecstatic that she got a chocolate sunday and they sang to her at Applebees.
Happy Birthday baby girl! I don't want you to grow up, but I guess if I have to I will let you. I hope you are always my smiley Rylee and find things in life that make you  happy. Good friends and good food and good choices will always bring you joy. Stay close to mama, ok? Love you Ry buggie!

Saratoga Springs Temple Open House w/ McCowns

How BLESSED are we to have ANOTHER Temple in Utah?! And this one is within 1 hour of our home too! We are so so blessed. This is the Saratoga Springs Temple.

We heard our neice Kaylie and her family were going to be in town. They recently were sealed in the temple and invited us to go with them and to go to lunch. I was excited to see her and meet her husband and baby! She lives in AZ and we didn't get to go to her wedding.
It was such a special day to be in the temple with my family, but especially to be there with someone who is new and fresh in their covenants and so excited about the temple. They were excited to take their baby there too.

We loved meeting little Brecken! He is adorable!
And this cute girl I met at her baptism when she was 8! Its fun to get to know her as an adult and see her doing so awesome in life! Love you girly! Come again!!
