Annual Cornbellies Trip

We got invited to our old preschool groups annual Cornbellies trip and we have loved it every year. This year it was especially fun to watch Brielle enjoy it all. She could have spent all day on this little slide and been totaly happy, but there was so much more to enjoy

 The corn pit is always a favorite by everyone. I love the look on her face!

 Here are a few of the older preschool group kiddos.

 Mollies BFF got to join us although she has moved to SLC and they were inseparable! And you can't leave without taking a picture in the giant chair!

 We took a chilly hay ride and the kids all enjoyed it too.

 These next pictures capture my kids and their different personalities just perfectly! Carter is a show off and thinks hes a pretty cool guy. Which I tend to agree with!

Brielle rules the roost and is determined to get her way.
Mollie is into makeup and posing and looking "cute," which I also agree with! Its so fun to see joy and excitement through my kiddos eyes and see them happy. I like to go to fun things like this just to be able to see that happiness. Until next year!

4 months old

Little Ry is getting to be such a fun little gal! She responds to us talking to her and we all love her smiles and laughs!

We've pulled out a few new toys like the bumbo and play gym and she liked them both although wasn't quite strong enough for the bumbo yet. 

 Her big eyes and long lashes get lots of compliments wherever we go. She is starting to get strong enough to break out of my swadlings and that makes me sad. I love swaddling my babies!

 We still spend as much time outside as we can before it gets cold and she still loves it and it relaxes her immediately.

 Her newest discovery is her toes! Most days she is grabbing on to them or pulling her socks off trying to get to them.

 EEEKK!! Baby toes are the cutest!

Mollie's FIVE!!!

 October 5th Miss Mollie turned FIVE! Five years goes by so fast. Her birth really doesn't seem that long ago! We surprised her on her birthday morning with a new barbie house!

 After lunch my mom and I quickly started preparing for the party. Cupcakes in the shape of a dress was her request for a birthday cake.

 These were my absolute favorite! Little edible nailpolishs (aka marshmallows rolled in sprinkles with a tootsie roll on top!)

 She talked her dad into getting off work early so she could open her gifts before her friend party. Some play makeup and a few barbies were among favorites and lots and lots of craft supplies to keep her busy!

 Then it was time to get ready for her dress up party! All the girls came in a dress up dress.

 As her friends (12 little girls!) arrived we sent them to the sparkle station where they got eyeshadow, lip gloss, blush, earings, bracelet, ring, and necklace.

 We then went downstairs for a fashion show where each girl got her turn on the red carpet.

Then it was time for cake! 

 And then presents! She really got spoiled and has sweet little friends who are so good to her.

As soon as her game was over we rushed to her soccer game. She was in charge of treats so we couldn't miss it. I love this picture with her earrings and blue eye shadow running as hard as she could after the ball. She scored 3 goals and G&G Reed were there to cheer her on! (and snuggle her while she was sitting out!) 

On Tuesday I got to take treats to her preschool class. She was pretty excited to pass out cookies to her friends.

Miss Mollie Mae you amaze me every day at how smart and friendly you are. I sometimes forget you are so young because you are so capable and independent. You are my biggest helper with the babies and chores and anything I need. I'm so proud of all you've accomplished. This month at school you were awarded the first Student of the Month Award for being friendly. I hope you never loose that attribute and you are always friendly to everyone! I love you so much and hope every day that I can be the mom that you need and we will have a close relationship as you get older. You make me and your dad so happy and I'm so glad you came to my life to teach me to be a better person.

It's been a long time since we've had a good set of friends that we both enjoy spending time with and Sam & Nannette have filled the void! We got to celebrate Nannettes birthday a week ago with games and dinner at her house and then later we escaped with them again for dinner in the city.

 Joes Crab Shack was the restaurant of choice and they both got Lobster...gotta love the bibs!
 Sam got the whole kahuna and ate a giant lobster right across the table from me. He even talked me into trying it but I had to spit it out. Not my cup of tea.

Then we had to go for dessert of course and here's our selfie in front of coldstone at Jordan Commons.

We are super grateful to have friends who are up for doing crazy things at the last minute. We've done many game nights, BBQs, and celebrated lots of birthdays with them. They have 4 kids and so do we and it seems theres a party every month this year!

Salt Lake State Fair

Ever since we have moved to utah I have been begging Chad to go to a fun fair. I love the fair and have lots of fun memories of going there as a kids. We finally agreed we should check out the Salt Lake State fair and so I got all dressed up in my country best. 

A couple of bad apples! :)

 We headed right for the rides and let the kids ride to their hearts content...or at least until we were out of money!

 The little hands on the farm display was so adorable and a favorite by all! They got to plant a seed, pick the produce, sell it to the market, get money and then buy something with it at the end of the tour! The kids loved it!

 This I'm sure was Brielle's favorite thing. She didn't want to get off that tractor!

 I got my fair fix but it really wasn't worth the money we spent....and we were being frugal! State fairs definitely cost more than small county fairs! But it was a fun experience for everyone. We got some good fried food but once again, I've had better. From here on out I'll stick to small town fairs...except Tooele's.....it is awful!

I really am glad we went though. If for nothing else, the experience!
