Just an Update

There are a few new things going on here that i though I'd blog about since my husband is on grave shift, Carter is in bed, and I am bored! Here's whats new with the Hymas':

Carter is 6 months old!! He weighs 18 lbs 5 oz. and 27 in. long. I swear each day he is heavier and heavier! He is so much fun to have! He has started trilling his tongue non stop (its his new noise!).
I got a job at Once Upon A Child here in Twin Falls. It is a new store opening April 1st that buys and sells childrens clothing and accessories. I am SO excited. I will just work 2 days a week when Chad is home so that we dont have to worry about day care or babysitters. We have so many things planned this summer all ready (yard saling, camping, new home maybe!) that the extra money will be much welcomed! Mostly, I am just excited about a discout on the already DISCOUNTED items!! I start somwhere around April 10th.

We have seriously been looking at buying or building a house again. We met with some builders the other day and decided that we were NOT going to build anymore. There are so many deals on the market right now and for $/sq. feet we could get a bigger home if we went a little older. This is a house we are really looking at. It is a fixer upper home, but with our $8000 tax credit we will get for buying a house this year and maybe selling our boat we will be able to make it into a great home! It is a 5 bed 3 bathroom house on a .29 lot that is pretty good sized with a almost finished basement. Right now it is kinda ugly, but after a paint job and carpet and eventually new cupboards it has the potential of being a great home! I've been really torn between going with an older home or buying new, but this one is such a good buy right now in a great neighborhood i dont know if we can pass it up! It's still up in the air right now, but we have been really excited about it!

And i wish i had some pictures of this but a few nights ago, Chad kicked me and Carter out of the house for an ALL GUYS March Madness party. we ordered 4 pizzas and about 9 guys showed up. It was so cute how excited they all were to get together to watch the game. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall. I hear there are already big plans for the final four!

Carter is getting big, he's such a little cutie. Thats great about the new job, and it sounds like it works out well with your hubbys job which makes it nice so you dont have to find a sitter. Good luck with the home situation. Our first 2 houses were older and fixer uppers, they were a lot of work but you appreciate it SO much more and its worth it in the end.

I'm excited for you guys! Your job sounds perfect! I laughed when I saw the pic of Carter! Finn was probably on the other side of the mirror doing to same thing! I have a picture almost exactly the same from last week. I love watching Carter do new things all the time!

I love that picture of Carter!! That's so exciting about the house too. Carter is such a good role model for Jace. :)

Sounds like you have some good things going on. And, yeah, I bought the toaster...wow, that is really random in this context. :) Are you going to the Easter get-together this year?
