Oceanside Beach DAY 1

THURSDAY: We made it!!! We were ALL so excited to get out in the water and feel the sand between our toes! I made everyone take a selfie before we were all wet and sandy! My FAV pic of our whole vacation!
So excited! Don't mind Rylees crotch grab!
Ahhhhh...just watching the waves roll in was so peaceful and relaxing!
Carter was the first to get a mouthful of water and came up sputtering and complaining of the salt!
Me and Ry hung back a little ways and felt the sand run from under our feet with the tide.
Right away they hopped into the waves and ran back and forth with the waves!
Soaking it all in! We didn't get there till 5 or so and we didn't have a lot of sun light left but seeing the sun set was beautiful!
Our kids quickly gained some respect for the ocean when Carter got knocked over by a wave and pushed under for a little bit. He came right to me and I lifted him out of the water. They were a little more careful after that. It's always so amazing to feel the ocean's power!

I could have stayed all day and so wish we had more time here!
Rylee mostly just got her toes wet but she had fun jumping through a few waves and she kept a death grip on my hand. Cute toes!
Chad was for sure in his happy place. He's a water bug for sure and made me a little nervous when he went out further!

Bri loved it but was cautious since she also got knocked over!
 Hanging with the girls.
Then we switched and I went out with the kids and Chad hung with Ry. The water is SO warm! I usually dont love being in water but I could have stayed in it all day!

The girls loved playing in the sand! And for once I didn't even care!

My man in the ocean! <3 p="">
We left the kids to play in the sand and Chad and I went to play! He is more brave than I am!

 My beach babe!

and beach boy!

 SANDY TOES!!!
 Love him, love the ocean.

So beautiful! Wish the picture could capture the real beauty of it!

 Miss Mollie the Mermaid!

And you can't go to the beach without getting buried atleast once! Mollie was the first.

Rylee was next, I was surprised she wanted to do it!

 Showing off our beach bods!

This day couldn't have gone any better or be any happier! Of everything we did, Chad said this was his favorite.  The kids were great, the travel was easy and we were finally in CA ready to have fun and relax!!! Up next, LEGOLAND!

The time has come!!!

OUR DISNEY VACATION FINALLY IS HERE!! We've been counting down for months and as the day got closer I got a little more anxious just hoping I was packing everything, that we would do ok on the plane, that we could get our luggage through the airport and that there would be no melt downs!
Our countdown completed! I did my own nails and got a spray tan to celebrate the festivities! My hands ended up a little orange!
All our bags are packed, we're ready to go! Thankfully our flight was changed to a little later time so we hit the road around 8 after a mickey waffle breakfast!
 Here we GOOOOO!

I was most worried about getting our luggage all into the airport and through the check points. Each kid gladly pulled a suitcase and our stroller lugged 2 car seats and some luggage as well. We looked like a mini circus getting on and off the trams, but we made it flawlessly through security with no crying or lost kids! YAY WE MADE IT THROUGH!

The kids loved watching out the window at the airport watching all the planes be loaded and move around. While we were waiting they offered to check any other luggage for free! I ran up there with 5 suitcases to check! That was a huge blessing in itself not having to worry about getting 5 suitcases loaded on a plane!
We made it on the plane and each kid had a back pack with things to keep them busy and snacks!
 They were all really excited!
But our nervous one wasn't quite sure....but she ended up loving it! The kids did incredibly well and kept busy and the ride went by in no time. I was probably more nervous and uncomfortable than any of them! I get a little nervous when turbulence hits!

We touched down and got ALL our luggage in LAX! We especially looked like a circus in California! We got LOTS of stares. But it was beautiful and sunny and hot!

We did have to wait a little while for our shuttle to pick us up and to get our rental van but if that is the worst thing that went wrong the whole trip, I'll take it. The kids were very patient and SO so good. Which I was so grateful for! Waiting on littles is hard!

We got our car, loaded it up and headed to Disneyland! But not to get off and play, just to pick up our City pass cards to get us into the parks. Here is Rylee on the Disney tram.
We decided to do the beach, legoland and sea world on our first leg of the trip and Disneyland on the last part of the trip. Next time, I might opt to switch that, but hind sight is always 20/20, right? We stayed at a hotel in Oceanside not too far from the beach! We dropped off our luggage and that is exactly where we went! Here comes a major photo dump!!!!
