Back in FEB i was asked by my good friend Alex to participate in a huge project. I was excited and IN 100% from day 1. She took several women and asked them to portray their hardest trial and photographed us FEELING the feelings it brought. THAT was tough. But later in the evening, we got to experience what it might be like if Christ lived among us and get a chance to see things come full circle. To remember that Christ and his Atonement are real and cover EVERYTHING! It was such an incredible experience! So for several months we were asked to prepare spiritually. And as the day approached I had big butterflies!
The morning shoot was hard but SO healing as each girl talked about the tough things they've been through. It linked our souls together in a very special way and SO much love was felt in that little circle.
Later that evening we gathered on a mountain top overlooking the Draper Temple. Everyone was dressed in white ready to receive their happily ever after photos. I LOVED getting to share it with my family.
When we reached the top, Christ (Bryce) was already there. My kids ran to him to meet him and check him out. A very tender moment in itself. Doesn't this sight take your breath away?!
We had time to kill so there was a lot of time for the kids to explore and learn some guitar chords!!!
It was breathtaking to look around in the light of the sunset and see everyone in white!
I loved this one of little Lexi looking like she had some serious guardian angels!
LOVE This one with everyone who participated in the project. Looking and focusing on Christ.
As the sun started to fall, the families left and it was just us women on the mountain. I LOVE these ladies for more reasons than I can count. Many shared things with me that they haven't told anyone. All of us were in a very vulnerable position and we held each other up through it all. They ALL are so incredible.
I've learned that we all have gone through SOMETHING that will make us or break us. We have to CHOOSE to follow Christ and let him heal us. It is possible. There is nothing we can go through that the atonement can't take care of. We are stronger because of it. And happier. Our trials do not define our lives, rather what we made out of the trials that made us better.
And this lady right here.....words can't express how much I love her for giving me this beautiful gift. She is talented in SO many ways and is such an incredible caring friend. I hope this project reaches millions and touches and heals and changes hearts. I really believe it will.
In Dec she submitted it to Deseret Book and now we just have to wait and see what comes of it! But even in nothing does, us 11 women have all been changed by it forever!
