Soccer Christmas Party

Party #3 was Mollie's Team christmas party! It was held at Lindseys house in Grantsville. I organized baskets for the coaches and all the parents chipped in.

They had pizza and played lots of fun games. They all had a blast!
I made the saran wrap game with lots of hidden fun treasures and candy. It was harder for them than I thought it would be! But they made it.
Alyssas mom mad this fun plinko game where you pull out the candy canes and try not to let the balls drop! So fun!

Then it was the gift game. Some of them struggled with left and right during the passing story! Funny!
We love this team and the coaches and the friendships Mol has made. We love the confidence it has given her and the knowledge to succeed and work hard. I was dubbed Team Mom in early january and so I hope to have many more fun team bonding moments ahead of us!

Bunco White Elephant night

As always, the Bunco Christmas party is a HIT! We always do a white elephant gift and it is always good for lots of laughs! Some favorites from this year were....a zombie cat!
 A singing fish.
This UGLY scary tree skirt that has been making the rounds for a few years! It was returned to Janna! AGAIN!
A gifted a dammit doll. And there is Maria thoroughly enjoying it.
And the prize of the night, given by Katrina.....TAMPON EARINGS!!!!!! There was a snowman and an angel! So hilarious!!!!

It was bitter sweet for me because I had decided this would be my last bunco. I felt it was time to move on to something else and spend more time with family. (However, I was talked back into it a few months later, but I am NOT the person in charge anymore!!)

Scout End of Year Party

Hoorahhh scouts is over! This was party #2 I was involved in in Dec. As glad as I was to see this program be done, I was also slightly sad. It has been a fun few years and I really have enjoyed the people who I've worked with and the passion that they have for these boys. Mandy Vance, Tauna Vance, Lola Clemens and Paki have been incredible leaders. We threw a big bash and dinner and invited those who have been in scouting before.
Look at these cute boys flashing their pocket knives!

I've been in scouting before and many of those boys are now on missions! It will be fun to see these boys grow over the years. I'm grateful to have been involved in scouting with Carter and to have seen him grow too. These boys will always hold a special place in my heart.
We really are looking forward to the new curriculum and setting goals with our kids and seeing them continue to progress.

Festival of Trees

After Bri's party was over, we were given some tickets to the festival of trees! I LOVE going every year but didn't want to pay to drag tired kids around. So I was grateful for the free tickets.
Each kid took turns finding their favorite trees. A unicorn tree for the birthday girl!
Several cute trees with flamingos on it and a lego tree.

 Minecraft!
 Frozen and Olaf!
 Gymnastics!

Love seeing the trees and the good cause that it is. Chad's work did another tree for it this year but I'm not sure if it ever sold.

Birthday Girl

As December started I was feeling good about it being pretty empty! But then, as it always does, the calendar filled right up! Brielle's party was one of 4 that I had to pull off within a few weeks! I was really worried about this cake turning out so I started early but within an hour it came together nicely!

A few decorations went up the night before her party which we had on the 7th at our home.  She requested a unicorn party obviously!

As her friends arrived she was SO excited! And we played a few games like pass the unicorn, pin the horn on the unicorn and a horn toss game.
Then we had lunch unicorn pizza horns and other snacks.
And then of course, the best part, GIFTS! She was for sure spoiled by her friends!

 Her new BFF Samantha!
After her party we gave her some gymnastic mats and a beam! She was so excited. I love her excited face and actions so much!

On the morning of her birthday there wasn't much to do but we did make her what she wanted for breakfast.
 And lunch...
Then it was off to school! She got to be sung to by her class and we took some suckers in to share for her birthday.

When dad got home she was very patiently waiting to open her family gifts. Again, the best happy faces!
And whenever I ask her what she wants for dinner she says SPAGHETTI!! every time! So on her special day, I made the families special sauce and made this sweet girl spaghetti.

At dance it was 4 other girls birthdays too! So they all got sung to.
And in the evening we had more cupcakes and sang to her as a family. We sure love you Bri Bean! You make our family so happy and you have so much love and goodness to share in your heart. Our family needed you and your strong courageous personality. You are my wonder woman and always will be. Much love, your momma.

Kicking off the season

Chad and I kicked off the season with a trip to the SLC temple! We love to do December temple trips in the evening because when we come out we get to see the temple lights! This was our last session at the temple before it will be closed for 4 years to undergo major construction to make the temple more earthquake proof.
It was eerie and foggy but the lights still shone through the fog.
It will be so weird with the temple out of commission since it has been or temple for 7 years! We love going to the live session there and the feeling of history that is there. I know it is a holy place and it is the House of the Lord. Afterwards we went to our favorite spot and had an Almond Joy. YUM!!!!
Happy December!
