President's Cup

Here we go! Our first tournament of the year. I love these so much and love feeling the southern sunshine. This year we had an extra body that we squeezed back there. Lola came with us for the trip. She was a good kid and helped our kids do better. But it was squishy!!!
Our first game was played at Dixie University and we were happy to learn there was a Chick-fil-a on campus! So we opted to eat there instead of fighting the crazy lines that are at CFA this time of year. Game 1 we tied 1-1 and Mollie hit the goal! The sun was toasty and some of us got burned!

We then just checked into our house and chilled and we loved this house and the back yard! There was a tramp, hot tub, basketball, patio, a zip line (out of commision), a hammock, and lots of space to run!

Mollie's sock sunburn. I didn't think she stood still long enough to get burned but I guess so!
Game 2 was also a tie, 0-0! Going into our 3rd game we knew we needed a shut out and 4 goals in order to make it to the championship game. These girls...when they are given a goal, they go above and beyond and ALWAYS meet that goal. We beat this team 4-0! Exactly what we needed to head to the 'ship!!!!! HOORAY!
We had a team pizza party at the park that evening and it was perfect weather and so relaxing. These girls are so cute when they get to play together outside of soccer.
Cute Ry snuggled the pup IN her kennel.
Sunday we tried to find a cool hike but we were too late getting into the park and it was full. So we just found a trail and started walking. I was glad the girls who came made the most out of it. We literally only saw rocks and dirt!

The kids swam in the hot tub as often as possible! Chad and I waited til kids were in bed and soaked in it every evening! It was so nice! And helped us all sleep so well!

Championship day!!!!! We knew this game was going to be a battle! But we wanted it more and pulled out the W 4-2! Mollie had 1. We were so happy and the energy was through the roof! It wasn't an easy game for them but they played their hearts out and pulled it off!!!!!

Coach gave out medals and we had a quick goodbye because we could see a storm rolling in. We wanted to beat it.
Love this Coach and his love for the girls!

Buuuuuuuttttt we ran right into it and wento 25 MILES PER HOUR almost the whole way home!!!! Seriously until Provo, these were our driving conditions. It was the worst storm I've ever been in and I'm so glad Chad was driving because I wouldn't have been able to! It was pure ice and very low visibility. It took us 8 HOURS to get home from St. George. UGH. It was awful. When we finally got to Filmore we were excited to get some food. Everyone had the same idea and there was NOTHING left in the gas station. We made cup of noodles in the microwave at the gas station and grabbed whatever we could to hold them another few hours.

We always get every kind of weather when we go! I was hoping we wouldn't this time but its not Presidents cup if you don't have sun, wind, rain and snow!

My Valentines

V-day was very low key. The kids woke up to a few treats and gifts and that was about it...no fancy breakfast or fun activities...but it's fine. We are getting ready for a big weekend trip to St. George so I was fine with keeping it easy. But I had to make a Valentines post and tell my people i love them so much. They are what makes my world go round and fuels me to keep going on the path we are on. Love you all more than you know!

Mollie had the most exciting holiday when her crush came over a few days after Vday with a big stuffed animal for her! Zhane Baker is such a cute, sweet kid. This little fling makes Mol be so silly. She is twiterpated for sure!

Another cheer comp

It's crazy to think that 1 year ago Cheer wasn't really a part of our lives. But now it is a huge part! Bri has had fun performing at various comps and is always so cute doing it. This one was at Tooele High

Just look at that smile and her confidence in her face! I love what it is doing for her in her life.

Feb Stuff

We are so proud of Chad! He has been in training for his new job for 9ish months and it came time to pass a very important test. He had been studying for months and lost sleep and stressed lots over it. He had to travel down to Cedar City to take it so he was gone over night. I was ecstatic when I got a text that said "I passed!" He was exhausted when he got home but we had to surprise him with some crumbl cookies to celebrate his sucess!
I got to escape for a fun girls night of bra shopping! It was such a fun night and I came home with some new bras that I love!

The dog....she still is the center of fun in our home.

Mollie loves to make cookies! She has taught herself how to do it without help and that could become dangerous! But all the girls love to help.

I got new purple Nike's to wear in Disneyland. They are so cute and comfy and I have had so much fun wearing them! Jennie and Tawnee have matching shoes too!

Bri is starting to love to bake too. She helped me make Valentine cookies. Unfortunately, they were over baked and not super good. We tried a new recipe, but I'll be sticking to my regular one!
And Carter is just Carter! Doing well in Jr. High, playing guitar and getting ready for football to start!

Mini cheer clinic

Back in Oct we did the mini cheer clinic and when we all came down with Covid we were unable to perform at the football game. The girls cried and cried and were so sad when I told them and I promised when they did the next one they could do it. So when it came around, we got them signed up and of course, participated. They all loved it! I didn't know if Mollie would want to, but she sure did!!

They performed at half time at a game and did so good! Bri and Mol were in the same group.
Rylee practiced so hard each night and wanted to memorize it and she did so great!

Look at all these mini cheer girls!
And wow, my girls are so gorgeous! And Mollie is looking extra grown up in all that makeup! Love my gorgeous girls!
And of course their hair was coated in glitter! It was easier to get out than I thought. Good times!

Mollie's 1st time to the temple!

Another big event we had in January was Mollie visiting the temple for the first time! We had planned to take her to the new pocatello temple because I was sure there was no way I could get an apt in the Utah temples. But I kept watching it and and some days became available and so we canceled our Idaho trip and just kept it small and simple and it was a lovely day. We went to Oquirrh Temple and then took the kids to lunch. She loved it and it was so nice her dad was there to baptize her and that we could have TWO of our kids in the temple!!
