Halloween Things

Halloween was fun this year! Carter was invited to a Harry Potter themed party with his friends and was asked to come as Hagrid. I don't have lots of HP knowledge but this is the best we could come up with. HAHA He had a good time though.
Here is Mol prepping for her costume.....
See the resemblance?!
This was a pretty spooky look for Rylee's friend after Rylee tossed a toy at her and hit her in the head!!! Poor Shay!
We missed our trunk or treat due to the finals game (also ruined a trip to a boise football game, but its fine) so we hit up another wards! Rylee was thrilled to find her buddy there.
Super creative TorT!
We hit up the pirate house as usual and its creepily awesome. How they come up with all they do is a mystery to me!

Brielle was a glow unicorn. Super cute.

I attempted a spooky meal of pasta and sauce...i mean witch fingers and blood and guts and brains and burnt snakes....weren't supposed to be burnt.

Ash and Brandt came trick or treating with us on halloween. the kids had a blast running through the neighborhood as we tried to keep up! Our neighborhood is so awesome at halloween!
Like really!

Ry was the first one home. When her bag got too heavy to carry she was good and came home.

Look at all those full size bars!

These girls went on forever and even hit a few more houses up on the hill when we took Ash home. They had SO much!

Here's another fun house up on the hill. they are all decked out for every holiday.
Happy Halloween! This was the first year I just decided to embrace it. And it was a fun season.

School Pics

Look at these kids for the 22-23 school year! They are pics of a pic so a little funky looking but I sure think they all look good!

Carter Age 14

Mollie Age 12
Brielle Age 8
Rylee Age 7
Oh and here's what Jilly does while they are all at school. Silly dog!
I happened to be at school just in time for Mollie to get announced as student of the month one day. Someone snagged me in the hall and told me to pop into the lunch room. They announce it once everyone has their food. All the kids then chant and scream for her. It's pretty cool.
Being at Rose Springs has been a very positive experience!

Football Season

Carter's first series of games was rough. And I was so glad when they realigned the teams for the second series with much more matched teams. They did so well in the second half they made it to the playoffs. They even made it to the finals!!

Fall sports are very busy but super fun! I love seeing them learn to love sports and succeed in them.
G&G Hymas came to watch for a weekend and that is always fun! We appreciate their support so much!
Brielle had a good learning season on the bigger field with extra players. She seemed timid at first but scored a few goals in her season!
Off the the finals!
It was such a good game but sadly lost in overtime by just a few points. They were so disappointed. But to see how far they came from day 1 was inspiring!

After the game, no one wanted to leave. Everyone was hugging, some crying, lots of mom hugs and lots of team love. I appreciated the ones who came to Carter and offered a high five or a hug.
As much as I felt like we didn't fit in in this football family there sure was a feeling of love this night among everyone.
I'm ok with the season being over. I don't know what highschool ball will bring, but I think I'll enjoy it more from the bleachers, not sitting right behind the coaches and players on the sideline and having a front row seat to the passionate players and coaches who sometimes over react.  Great season Stallions!

Freeze drying and gardening adventures

I've been freeze drying so many things and its been so fun and satisfying. I put together a box for my mom of some freeze dried things.

Our garden was put in late and I waited until august to pull our carrots. I died laughing when i saw our 'crop!' HAHA they were itty bitty. So funny. We'll try again next year. We had gobs of beans, a few watermelons, tomatoes, cucumbers were fat but only about 2 in long... pretty sad. We did get a pumpkin and peas out of it too! I was happy for the first year we were learning.
I didn't grow this tomato but its worth documenting! My friend Lori gave me 3 big boxes of tomatoes that were this big! They covered my whole hand! They were delicious and I canned all the tomatoes. YUM!

Here's to MORE for next year!!!!

12!

Mollie turned 12 early October! In true Mollie-style, she requested crafty things for her birthday. She does love to create and decorate. And has put her new gifts to good use. She stressed about if she should invite her old friends, new friends or soccer friends or church friends to a party. I bribed her with mall spending money if she would fore-go a party and just take a friend to the mall. She bit!

We had to recreate the baby pumpkin picture! She's grown just a little.
We grabbed Ash and Jo and took off to the mall. I brought Nannette along for me too! I put together a little photo scavenger hunt. Here are some of their challenges.

The mall had a selfie studio set up with super cute props so we had a good time posing on them all.

Nannette and I got in on it too!!

Happy Birthday Mollie! I'm sure proud of the girl you are and the choices you make. I appreciate the relationship that is growing between us as you grow up. I love the happy attitude you are developing and that we are growing closer together. You are beautiful inside and out and have a great desire to do good. We are so blessed to help you!!! Love you!
