Rose Springs Chalk Run

It's tradition at Rose Springs to have a chalk fun run every spring. I was deathly sick at home so i asked chad to take the kids. They wanted to go so badly! Here they are before the storm, all clean and white.

THE STORM! As fun as it was for them, I'm glad I wasn't in the middle of this!

Carter even got involved..

When they got home I made them stand outside and brush themselves off. HAHA It was pretty funny to see though. I know they had a blast.

Our Easter

Easter was pretty low key since Chad was working. Brielle and her friend took charge in making sure we had some hard eggs colored.
They created minions and they were so cute!
Easter morning brought some smiles and  happiness with easter baskets!

We decided to do a different kind of hunt to reveal a surprise! We set up a scavenger hunt to tell the kids something exciting!
They ran from place to place, excitedly reading clues and trying to guess what it was as they went.

Putting all the clues together.......eagerly waiting.....

"You are going on a cruise in 21 days!"

YAY!!!! We are so excited to take our kids on a cruise and enjoy them for a whole week on vacation! Happy Easter kids!

Spring Break

Chad worked most of spring break, but when he finally had a day off, we played hard! We took off to Provo and did as many fun things we could do that were on our Get Out Pass. We hit a few trampoline parks, did laser tag, got ice cream and went to a car show. It was a really fun day and we got to lots of fun things!

This is Carters dream car! He had a blast looking at all the fun cars. And so did we!

As we were leaving the mall, Chad jokingly asked Rylee if she wanted to get her ears pierced. After all, she was almost 8! She excitedly said YES! So we turned around quickly and went to Claires to get 2 holes in her ears! She was pretty brave and they look so cute on her!

It was a fun and relaxed Spring Break and I was glad we got to do some fun things!

38 is here!

38 brought the coldest birthday I've ever had! I don't think I've ever had snow on my birthday but this year, mother nature delivered!

I started out my day at the gym and Stacy, the high fit teacher, made sure to make it a special day!
After workout, I sat in a massage chair for a while.
When I got home the girls had decorated the house and made me breakfast! HAHA!

Chad was working nights and the kids were on spring break so once he was awake, we went bowling for something to do.
Chad is always so sweet and thoughtful with gifts.

And then the snow came. And came and came! We had a huge storm roll through that dumped lots of snow! What a day!
I ended the night alone after the kids were in bed and I climbed into the tub. Also, how cute is this shirt I bought for myself? I love it!

My dreams for 38 are to be true to myself. I think 37 was spent alot of finding me again. I hope for my 38th year to be more compassionate, more friendly, more true to what I believe and what I stand for. I want to focus on revelation for myself and my family and aligning my life with God's plan for me.

Just when I thought that my kids didn't need me much anymore, I'm realizing they may need me more now as they enter their teenage years. They need me to listen, to be there, to spend time with them and talk about life. They need me to instill the gospel in them more than ever before.

So here's to 38 - being 'other centered' and aware of the needs of my family. I think its going to be great.

Early Easter

I was thrilled to death when my mom suggested we do an early Easter at our house! It's not often when the whole fam comes this direction and I was excited to have them all here. We went to work planning meals and cleaning house. We settled on a big Roast beef from Carolyn Nash who has a hookup through her catering company. It was over $100 but it was DELICIOUS and so worth it!
We planned to egg hunt outside but the weather didn't cooperate. So we went to the church gym to hunt and play some more! Here's some pics from the hunt.

Look at all these cute grands!
Grandma took some time to show Ry how to crochet. She has been obsessed ever since her friend showed her.
And this little trio is so much fun. I love watching them have fun together!
Happy Easter! I'm so grateful for my Savior, for family and for the hope of a resurrection. The plan of happiness is a greater plan than I think we can comprehend and I look forward to a day where evil is absent and famlies can live together in righteousness! What a beautiful plan it is.
