Park City Cup

Ahhhh, the Park City cup. NOT my favorite tounament. We have some bad blood with them. But this tournament was different! They played like a team and did so awesome! The weather was great and we even had a few extra visitors join us!

Chet's family was in town doing some pictures for Morgan's Senior year and they asked if we could meet up! We had a game and they wanted to tag along! I was a nervous wreck because we were playing PC and I wanted it to go well and for no one to get injured. After all, high school soccer tryouts are next week!

Sadly, Paisley walked away from this game with a concussion. Such a bummer. Mol made sure she got to enjoy the celebration tunnel though!

At the 2nd game,  Mollie actually got a concussion. She was knocked pretty good. So we were down a few players for the final game.

These girls played so awesome and despite the nasty fouls and few injuries, we came out on TOP of Park City! I was ecstatic. I just wanted to beat them on their own turf so badly! And it happened.

If I'm remembering right, I think we took 2nd at this tournament. Didn't pull out the Championship, but they fought so amazingly hard, and we didn't lose to park city!

It was such a beautiful evening and we were the last game, so we hung around and played volleyball for a bit. The kids even talked Chad and Chet into doing some cartwheels. Laughter ensued as you can imagine. We love these people so much! It's only when we are together that I nearly pee my pants from laughter. If I have to pee my pants, I guess its best to do it from laughing.

And we even found Zhane in PC. He's finally taller than her! So cute.

Some July randoms

I think the kids favorite thing to do is torment Chad. They often do things to him they know they could not get away with doing to me....exhibit A....
Bri made a cake! She loves to decorate cakes and did pretty good!

Dropped Carter off at FSY at Weber this year. He didn't have a roomate and I felt a bit bad for him, but he never seems to care and really enjoyed it actually.
J-dog turned 5! Happy birthday Jilly Bean! We can't imagine life without you!

 We love summer!!!!

No boating day

We planned to go boating and take Carter's girlfriend, but there was a big storm forcasted, we've dont that before and its seriously so dangerous! So we opted for some indoor fun and headed to Provo Beach. Chad and Brekkyn and Carter tried their had at surfing. Oh it was hilarious to watch them crash over and over again. I couldn't believe it didn't hurt because they wiped out pretty good. Brekkyn was smart and stayed on her stomach.
After the 200th try....Chad and Carter were starting to get it!

Of course Carter is just a natural in the water and he was mastering it by the end. Looks fun, but not for me. I couldn't handle crashing over and over! There was a group of teens who we were sharing with and they would just jump in and ride the wave like they were born to do it. It was quite fun to watch! Me and the girls did croquet, bowling and the ropes course. Not to bad for a no boating day!

YW camp

I was so happy that Bri and Mol got to experience camp together this year! I was a bit jealous I didn't get to go. But I'm so happy for leaders to take and share pics so I can be a fly on the wall a bit. They had it at the most magical place on Earth! Heber Valley Camp, where you can have a camp fire, but also a warm bed, flushing toilets and a fridge and freezer! It's so beautiful and you really are sitting on top of the world! Here's a few pics I recieved of my girls.

Up and attem! Mollie was a YCL and so she had to leave at 5am! Bri had a much nicer time and left a few hours later. Bye girls!

The water fight on the lake is seriously the funnest time!

And I know the magic that happens in the cabin. Love all these smiling faces!

Testimony meeting down at the beach. This was Mollie's idea I guess since they couldn't have fire.

Summer BMX nights

These nights are some of my favorite! This week at Deseret Peak Complex there was alot of things going on! While we were doing BMX there was also monster trucks going on and a soccer tournament.

We were super lucky to get to enjoy the firework show from the Monster Truck show. It made it feel extra festive.
Brekkyn was there and these 2 were soaking up the magical moment.
We love summer nights!

Lagoooon

We had our annual Lagoon Trip, and as always, it was a great time. brielle is finally mastering big rides and enjoying it! We sill have to coax her a bit, but she is smiling the whole time we do.
I still won't ride the rocket, so I'm glad Chad loves it and can go with them.
We got to experience the new ride in Pioneer village and it was really fun. It's  like a big swing.
Pretty flowers, pretty girls.
Never too big to sit in the wagon I guess!
Mastered!

Such a lovely day! Love having fun with my kids!

Sister Hymas

We were thrilled to death when Chet and Mindy asked us if we would be willing to pick Maycie up from the airport and take her to the MTC! We had plenty of time to pick her up and spoil her before we dropped her off. She had a few requests so we made sure to honor them!
Welcome to Utah ! On to Texas!! McDonald's breakfast was first.
We were just so happy to see her smiling face! She is such a special person and so ready to go!
We hit up Zuppas for lunch and bookstore to waste time. As we pulled into the MTC my eyes were already watering! Wow! I was not prepared for all the feels I would feel and this is just my neice! Families were hugging and crying in any direction you looked. My hearts were cracking right open, right in front of me. So proud and also so broken hearted. I was happy that we could just be happy this time and enjoy sending Maycie off without a lot of drama. We were directed where to pull in, you don't even park. You hop out, snap a picture and off they go! Wow, it happened so fast, but really compared to how it used to be, a long drawn out emotional program, this was the prefered way.
We also made sure she had some creamy coconut DP to help for her weeks in the MTC.
We are so proud of you Mace, and can't wait to see all the growing you will do and all the experiences you will have. You are an incredible example to us!
