3rd annual EA-MAS reunion

This year for a little get away with our Eash friends we decided to take them to good ol Moore Idaho! We went to Craters of the Moon on the first day. I haven't been there since 2nd or 3rd grade and I don't really remember much about it. Chad took the youth there a few years ago and they seemed to really like it.
 All our cute kiddos!
You'll see alot of these 3 posing through the next few posts. But they were troopers and walked almost the whole time.

 Cool old tree.
 Ta-DA!
We climbed up this huge cone that was covered with black sparkly rocks! The pics of course don't show how gorgeous it was but our girls LOVED collecting the sparkly rocks.
When we made it to the top it was such a great view!Carter kept saying he felt so peaceful and would just sit there and look out and sometimes close his eyes. It was adorable. And I was so proud of all the kids hiking up this hill because it was hard. (For everyone but Ethan who RAN to the top! but paid for it a little when he got there.)

Next up was some caves! Unfortunately they were having a huge wasp problem and they told us to avoid some areas of the park, but we were still able to hit up the Boy scout cave that was 100% dark and I think it was called Indian cave or something like that.

It was creepy! But amazing how there was ice on the walls of the cave!

The wasps flew around the holes in the cave trying to catch drops of melting ice.
It was totally amazing at the temperature drop in these caves! From scorching hot 90 degree weather on top, to almost freezing down below! And don't worry, Sam got in on carrying Rylee a little too! Thats's the real reason we brought him! JK. Sort of.

After walking nearly all morning it was finally time for a picnic lunch! Food always tastes better when you've been out hiking in the sun all day!

We went back to Clyde and Evelyns and finished out the rest of our evening eating, talking, and sitting around the fire! Stay tuned for day 2!

Double weekend dates!

Its not often we get DOUBLE weekend big dates! But these were planned out in advance and just happened to be 1 week apart! While the fair was here we got tickets to see Craig Morgan! Theres so many of his songs I love and so we HAD to go! We had pretty good seats and he really put on a good show!

During intermission I got up to go see how much his shirts were. (too expensive!) but as I turned around and started walking back, you could hear him singing but not seem him. It was getting dark so i just made my way back to my seat. While I was walking, I almost walked smack dab into him! He looked me straight in the eyes and shook my hand. He had come in from the back and surprised everyone and I just happened to be right in his way! Super cool!

It was a wonderful evening and don't worry, we ate some yummy fair food while we were waiting!!

The next weekend, we went to Preacher Lawson!  It was Chad's fathers day gift. We followed him on Americas Got Talent a few years ago and he was just so funny! And he's clean and NEVER cusses! Someone in the audience even asked him that and he relied that he just didn't like to.
Oh heavens I laughed SO hard that night! He is such a great comedian. The opening act totally sucked though and almost ruined the night. I was really hesitant because I REALLY wanted it to be clean and enjoyable and besides the first girl, it was awesome!

Hope we can see him again some day!!! Glad I got these needed nights out with Chad! Summers can be a doozy on the "Mommin'!"

Carnival!

The carnival and fair came to town so we decided to spend an outrageous amount of money and go. It sometimes doesn't seem worth it, but when I see these smiley faces it sure makes me feel better! The girls LOVED all the kiddie rides.
Chad and carter and Mollie hit a lot of the bigger rides. I think I'm creating adrenaline junkies.

 YIKES!

Chad got some good slow-mo pics and the kids were loving them
I went on my 1 carnival ride for the year...the swings. Yep I was sick almost immediatley, but still enjoyed going with my boy
Carter ran into Brody there and they had fun running around spending their tickets.
 These slides were really fun!
And rylee LOVED the animals. Especially the baby pig.
And a baby zebra!!! So fun!

Some great pics

One day I was having a disagreement with Mollie and at the same time trying to get her goggles figured out for swimming. They were a tad too tight and we both laughed for a good hour from this result! Now anytime shes mad I reach for the goggles!
I decided it was time for some haircuts for an easier summer hair care! I asked for NOT and A-line and that is exactly what Bri got. It was a little on the short side but it fits her personality perfectly!!! Look how much we cut off!

So cute and she loved it!
I guess I didnt get a pic of Ry in the chair but her hair also turned out darling! We can't do a pony tail anymore which I really loved on her, but this will be fun and cute for summer. She is still SO blonde!
July is Alex's birthday so some friends and I surprised her with birthday donuts! I sure love this lady and everything she has done for me and for our wonderful friendship.
We got a new a&w in town so of course we had to try it out.
And this is how I feel when Chad brings fresh veggies from his co workers home to me! They are SO good!
Lots more summer things to come! We have been staying busy!!

Swimming lessons for ALL 4!

This year swimming lessons was a big deal because ALL 4 kids got to be in the pool at the same time WITHOUT ME! I really enjoyed getting to watch them all and not have to be cold and wet. Most of my kids are water bugs, but especially Bri and Carter! I felt slightly bad for the instructor who was catching her when she would jump into the pool. Full on superman, right on top of their heads! But she just has no fear.

Brielles friend Brightyn took lessons with her and they had fun together. And me and Alex had fun catching up while our kids swam!

Rylee did well and of course latched on to her teachers like she does to most teenagers. She's found us some great babysitters by finding a good friend and latching on to them! She is a little more cautious and doesnt love to be cold or wet but she was a champ and did everything she needed to do and looked forward to it every day.

Had a hard time getting pics of carter and mollie because they were all on the other side of the pool. But they both improved and Carter was jumping in the deep end and swimming the length of the pool with no problem. freaked me out the first day he did it! And he was jumping off the high dive and doing flips off the low dive. Crazy kid does not belong to me!
