Back to NEW school

Summer went so fast! I can't believe Carter is starting his 8th grade year! This is his last year of middle school. So crazy high school is just around the corner. Time has gone too fast with this one. Here he is looking pretty fly for his first day back. Watch out ladies! He's decided this year he'd like to be a mechanic this year!
Miss Brielle loves CHEETAHA! She decided the week before school she'd be most comfortable in dresses. Luckily, dresses were in and we found lots of cute dresses with pockets! Here she is ready for a new year at a new school! Here they come ROSE SPRINGS ELEMENTARY!

Rylee bug was so ready to get out the door. She loves school and thrives there. She's very nervous about a new school but did great on her first day.

Mollie was very nervous her first day. In fact, I left her in tears at school. I wanted so badly to stay there with her and hold her hand the whole day.  I was so relieved that she told me after school she found some familiar faces quickly and they helped her meet new friends quickly.

Rose Springs had the red carpet and balloon arch out for the kids. So fun! Brynn and I drove the kids in together so we could walk them into their new school.
Rose Springs has been an incredible change. Brielle said within her first week she was so impressed with the kindness of kids. She came home with lots of friends phone numbers and has been invited to several birthday parties. Rylee has also made friends easily! She's loving her teachers and also has a few familiar faces around. Mollie quickly became the cool new girl and was voted by her peers to be on Student Council within 3 days of being at school! What an honor to be elected by your peers. She also has commented on how great the kids are and her teacher. She absolutely loves her and it confirms for me that this was 100% the right choice for our family.

Animal fun

We bought the Get Out pass last year and we've hit up a lot of fun things because of it. We got to visit Sea Quest which was so fun! Lots of fish and animals done in a really fun way! There are lots of animal encounters and its a cute little creative place.

There was even a mermaid at one of the pools. Here are my cute mermaids.
Elsa and Rapunzel were also found walking around.

Carter tried out a hurricane simulator. Even though he doesn't love animals, i think he enjoyed himself.
The girls got to feed birds. They were so fun to watch.
That evening, Chads work had a work party and dinner at the zoo! We showed up and ate tacos for dinner and then could walk around the zoo and do all the things for free! So we rode the merry go round and the train.

Good times! I love seeing God's many amazing creations!

Strikers Cup Champs

We had our last tournament of the summer at Strikers Cup. We played an age group up but a division down. The girls played amazingly awesome...maybe the best I've seen them play. And the weather was hot!! Game 1 was 97 degrees!!!!

Here's how the games went:
Game 1: WIN 4-1
Game 2: WIN 3-0
Game 3: WIN 5-0
 Game 4: WIN 9-0
Championship game was in the heat of the day and they WON! At half, they were tied 1-1. In the last 5 min the girls really turned it on and knocked one in to win the game. I was SUPER nervous because if we tied it would go into a shoot out. I didn't want the stress of that for myself or the girls!! They won 2-1 against a really good Revolution team. WAY TO GO GIRLS!

Mol had SIX goals this tourney!

And Chick fil A mostly fueled her this week so we took a pic with their poster. Lunch and dinner of champions!

Smash room

My friend Alex mentioned she wanted to go to a smash room for her birthday. I found one and we went!!! It was slightly creepy and outrageously expensive....and super weird! HAHA but I guess we went for the experience. Alex brought some of her MIL's glassware to smash. Here we go!
We went in and picked out some things to smash. Weird things like vacuums and printers....not really what I had pictured.
Then they give you some safety gear and a sledge hammer and let you go at it!
We were both dripping in sweat by the time we were done!

Smashing things was ok....but throwing glass at a wall? THAT WAS THRILLING! We much prefered doing this than smashing things.

Not something I'll probably ever do again, but I guess it was fun. Not so fun when we got the bill of $100!!!! But we split it and it worked out. I guess it made some fun memories!

Welcome Baby Tuck!

Tuck Landon showed up very dramatically for his birthday on Aug 2nd! He weighed 9 lbs 1 oz and was 22 in long just after 6pm. Poor Tay had a very rough labor and Tuck snapped his little collar bone on the way out. His face was pretty bruised too. It's amazing what baby's go through coming through the birth canal. Welcome Big Baby Tuck!
Just after he was 1 month old, he was taken by ambulance to the ER for RSV. Poor little guy was SO sick and had some scary moments. Poor little man had a rough start to life. He was there for a few days and got to come home on oxygen. So glad he was ok!

The Fair with Friends

We were watching some friends when fair time came around so we packed them up with us and headed to the fair and carnival!
They had the cutest little farm scene kids could go play in and pick apples and gather eggs and drive a tractor!

The lines were non existent and the tickets were cheap so we let the kids go wild and ride all the rides!

Carter had football so Chad was a good dad and took Carter back in the evening to ride some rides.
Later in the week we hit up the derby. Always a good time! There were flipped cars and a fire and all sorts of crazy driving!

More summer things!

We bought the Get Out Pass that had lots of fun things on it! So here are some of the fun things we did. This place in Ogden was super fun. It's called Airborne.
Who has a zip line on the ceiling? They do!

We boated a few times!

We really  had a hard time with weather this year! But we did get out some.
Jilly Bean turned TWO and she got a cookie. We also celebrated 1 year in our new home.

Lagoon was on the pass which was one of the big reasons we bought it. It was fun to be back there and not have to spend time in kiddie land!

Ry loved the rollercoasters!
We did the go kart track and it was fun.

Rylee conquered Colassus! And so did Brielle! Bri didn't love it! Rylee went on it a few times! Bri ofter says...I'm just not a roller coaster girl.
The weather was perfect and the only ride we didn't get to do was Rattle Snake Rapids. But thats ok. The lines really weren't bad and we had a good time.
Mol had a tourney in Park City that they did well at. Me and Mol stayed the first night and then the girls joined us the next night. We shopped at the outlet malls as well as everyone else in town and we got caught in a serious rain storm! I've never seen so much water that came down constantly! For a good 30 min it just dumped rain. We were starving and soaking wet but it made for some fun memories...like my phone jumping out of my pocket into a puddle in the middle of the road...and some how surviving!
The hot tub felt lovely..but then we all coughed the whole night. I don't know why but it must have been from the chemicals.
Chad in his happy place. We love playing in the summer.
