Furniture store fun

We have been thinking about a new couch for a while and one day we decided to swing into a mattress store for fun. We found lots of fun unique peices of furniture. But in the end, we also walked away with a new leather couch complete with secret tables, charging ports and 3 recliners! It was a happy day!

A Priest!

I knew time would fly by, but I swear just the other day Carter was giving his first primary talk. At the end of January, Carter was ordained to the office of a priest by his dad and grandpas. We are super proud of the good kid he is and the choices he has made to honor his priesthood and be worthy to hold it. We could not be more proud.

Both grandparents were there for the occasion and we really appreciated the love.

Clyde made him a cool preisthood line of authority card that traces back to Jesus Christ. Its amazing how short it really is and I hope that it can keep growing longer.

And the next sunday, he was up there blessing the sacrament like a pro. I cried like a baby.
Such a special day! But I'd be ok if time slowed down just a bit so I can enjoy him longer before he goes on a mission!

Hazards of BMX

On the 15th Carter had a race for BMX indoor. He has been loving it. He was excited to try out his new clips and see how they helped him. We made the cold drive to Rad Canyon.
He was doing well and then all of a sudden didn't make a turn and crashed head on into a cement wall with another kid. Carter hopped right up but not before my heart sank in my chest. He was slightly delirious as he tried to find his bike and get back on his bike.

He came over and showed me this....his helmet cracked down the middle from the crash. I am SO thankful for helmets. He had a headache for a few days but didn't seem concussed and was doing fine.
We let him race again a few days later at the Gold Cup race and he took 3rd. He did very well and it helped that he had some fans there to cheer him on!

Thanks grandparents!!! your support means so much to us!

Snow and Ice

Carter and some friends celebrated the new year by going ice skating!
We got some snow so we went sledding too.
At night....the best time to go!

Later on, we got to go see Jarrett play hockey with the Hymas clan. It was fun to watch him and be together!

 Happy winter! Its so cold!!!!
And Rupert is the one gettin all the white stuff! They were hit hard this year. This is my momma in front of her house with her arms up high! This is how I remember winters as a kid. So much snow and drifting snow too.

Idaho Christmas

After our christmas, we headed out for a good ol Idaho Christmas. We first went to Arco. We loved our time there and ate well and played lots of games. Rylee got attached to Mo, Brownlee's dog, and carried him around like a baby until he got frustrated and bit her on the lip! Oops!
We haven't had many christmases in Arco so I'm glad our kids got to have one!

Carter has his permit and we let him drive from Arco to Rupert on the back roads. A little scary with all those turns but he did well.
Justin's family made the trip down and alot of cousin time was had! It made me happy to watch our kids not miss a beat and jump right in and play with eachother. Even the big kids played lots of games and had fun together.
The present exchange is always a big ordeal! And it was so fun!

We played lots of fun games and even went over to the church for some more space to run around in!

Mom and me in our matching sweaters.
Love this big, growing family of mine! We sure missed Tony!!

We were having so much fun we decided to stick around and ring in the new year together too! Happy 2024!!!!!

Christmas 2023

We only had an hour of church on Christmas Eve so our traditions started right after church. Decorating cookies was first up! I love the minion cookie!

Some cuddles and naps happened before we moved on. Jilly just thinks shes a small little dog and will squeeze into any hole she can find whenever we are touching.
Dinner was our typical fondue night! I love this tradition. Everyone helped this year and that was so nice.
Later that night, the magic happened!
Our tree was stunning this year and gave off the most beautiful white light.
I know our kids didn't sleep much but I appreciate they let me sleep till at least 6! Stocking time!

J even walked away with some goodie! Look at her in her cute jammies!
Present time!

Jilly got a blanket and she would not move off of it for so long!  I think she loved it!
Troomi phones were the hit of the holiday this year.

Carter and Mollies faces were hilarious when she opened a Gabb Phone! (It was actually Carter's old one since they got new ones!)

Carter couldn't wait to try on his clip shoes and put his new plate on his bike.
The rest of the day was spent crafting and building legos.

Chad and I got some goodies too!

Dinner was steak and pasta! Delicious!

Merry Christmas to my family. You are so special to me and I love celebrating this season with you!
