Sneak Peak

The stake council was invited to come take a sneak peak of the new church  building right by the temple! That was exciting because the temple gates were still up and we got to go behind them! The church was cool, but we were most excited about the temple. We were told we could go check out the temple grounds too. And so we did!

Walking up to it, everything started sparkling! The stone, the window, the jewels were just sparkling and dancing in the light. I was overcome with gratitude. And that my temple was glittery!

We even tried the doors and they opened but we figured we shouldn't go in.
It was absolutely special though! I left on cloud nine!

I can not wait to be able to enter this temple and bring my kids here and go whenever I want to!!

Goodbyes

Well, the week of goodbyes came. G&G made their rounds to say goodbye to everyone. We were last, because they stayed with us the night before they entered the MTC.
Emotions were high, I could tell they both had some anxiety. But I knew they were acting on faith and surviving on our prayers. Morning came, we said goodbye and watched them go. I would  get to see them again later in the week, but not the big kids. When they return, Carter will be preparing to go on his.
Later that day we said more goodbyes as I dropped kids off at BYU for FSY.

On Friday we busted my parents out of the MTC to go to dinner the night before they lefty to Panama.
This goodbye was harder but quick. They were so on fire with the spirit, they were ready to go, and I had to smile and let them go. I'm going on faith too that they will be well and watched over.

Sure love these two and their awesome example.

Boating with the Rowleys

We finally got some boating time with friends! Stef & Josh and boys came out to play.  I didn't know how worried Stef was but she conquered her fear and came! The boys were naturals and wanted to do everything! It was a great day at Hyrum Res!

We took them to our fav food spot afterwards.
There's never a dull moment with Josh around so we all had many laughs and good times.
And after all these years, these 2 are still pretty good buds.

Farewell Weekend

It's hard to believe that the time is coming that my parents won't be just a few hours away anymore. I'm over the moon happy for them and at the same time know it will be hard. We kicked off their big weekend with some time in the temple together. It was a special day. I sent Carter and Mollie to do baptisms while we did a session.

Then it was time for their farewell at church. So many good people came to support them. We all loved hearing their testimonies. They hosted lunch at their house afterwards. It was a feast!

Then the goodbyes started happening. This one was a tear jerker. They love each other so much.  These ladies are so special to me!

Girls Camp '24

I was asked at the last minute by a desperate camp leader if I could please come be an extra leader at camp. I figured out a way to make it work and took off to Heber Camp aka Heaven at the top of the mountain! Its views and amenities were absolutely stunning!

The girls were fairly well behaved too, besides a few complaints of cold showers because the older girls took too long.
It was fun to be a fly on the wall and watch the magical bonding that can only happen at girls camp.

We helped with a faith walk where i had to try to persuade them off the path. At first it was humorous and then it set in that this was Satans work and how easily they can go off course with one wrong step. It brought me to tears a few times!

Axe throwing and ninja star throwing were super fun. Mol did really well and i didn't do too bad with the stars.

I was put in the beehive cabin. So young and silly and clueless about hygiene or cleanliness! But totally adorable.
The lake day was so fun!  We couldn't get in the water but we might as well have for how wet we were! an hour long water fight ensued on the water and it was so fun. Those missionaries really know how to bring the fun!

This couldn't have come at a better time for me. I was needing a break and the spirit and adult time. All of these cups were filled and I left feeling so refreshed!
