7 years

March 1st marked 7 years of marriage for me and chad. I was sick with a sinus infection and so chad and the kids made me breakfast in bed. To celebrate we got Chads sister to watch the kiddos and rode the trax into SLC to see Brian regan. He is so hilarious. It was money well spent. Sure love this wonderful man who has stood by my side for 10 years. He brings out the best in me and makes me happy every day. Sure love you chad man!

Valentines Day 2014

I always love celebrating Valentine's Day and trying to plan fun things with my kids. Carter & Mollie had so much fun making their Valentines for their class mates. As a kid it was my favorite holiday at school. We waited until Chad got home and then we played a few Valentine's games and gave the kids a few treats. We had our regular heart shaped pizza for dinner. I sure love these sweet kiddos. They bless and enrich my life every day. And none of it would be possible without my sweetheart Chad who is so good to me every day no matter what. I'm lucky to have him in my life.

Mom Dates

Something new our family has incorporated is MOM DATES! Since we have added 3 to our family i have felt the overwhelming need to spend one on one time with each child individually. I've noticed that it changes every ones attitude when they are shown a little extra attention. Easy? NO! But well worth the effort. This month I took Carter for doughnuts one morning and a sugar cookie and I got to take mollie to a mom/daughter night at enrichment and then out for ice cream. I find that I appreciate each child more when I get uninterrupted time with them. I've also started doing what I call "Time In" where for 20 minutes each day the kids get my undivided attention. We set a timer and they know during that time they can choose to play whatever they want and I actually play WITH them. I haven't done it every day but the kids are always asking to do TIME IN. And I love that I have time set apart to just play with them with no distractions. It's helped in my relationships with each child. I'm so glad I have these 3 to teach me patience and lessons I would never be able to learn with out them. I love them so much!

Brielle's Blessing Day

Brielle's blessing day was on Feb 2 which also happened to be ground hogs day and super bowl sunday! It was a bright and sunny day and we had many friends and family who came to support us. I had planned for Brielle to wear my blessing dress that I wore as a baby (mollie wore it too) and a few days before the blessing I tried it on her and it wouldnt button up! I wanted to cry! This little girl is quite chunky! With the blessing only a few days away I figured we would just have to make it work since my options in tooele to find a dress were slim to none. My mom must have been inspired because a few hours later she called and asked if she could buy a blessing dress for brielle and that she had found one she really liked. SHe described it to me and it was almost the exact dress i had looked at online but it wouldnt have gotten here in time if i ordered online and it was a better price! So Grandma Reed saved the day and bought a beautiful blessing dress for her. She even bought it in a 3 month size and it STILL barely buttoned around Bri! It was a beautiful day and Chad gave a wonderful blessing. I wanted to take pictures of who all came but only got a few of them done. So just for the record here is a list of who was there that day. G&G Reed, G&G Hymas, Cami, Kaylie, Mason, & Koen, Chads boss and his family, Brett Hymas and his family, Shayne and Jordan & Taylor, & Jon & Natalie, and my good friend, Aubrey Schut. It was a very special day and we felt so blessed. On this day we also broke the news to our parents that we are buying a new home! More on that to come later...

We need a beach....

Carter came down the stairs one freezing February day and said "Mom we need a beach." ...I totaly agree Carter
So they got their suits on and pretended to be sun bathing....
And made some sand and water.
Pretty creative if you ask me.

1 month old!

Jan 10 Brielle turned 1 month old! To celebrate, Mollie helped me paint her toes for the first time! Bri is such an easy happy baby. She is sleeping 5-6 hours straight most nights and eats so well. She is gaining weight very quickly and has all of us so in love with her! She loves to be bundled up and warm and cozy. She will sleep for hours if she is warm. I tried out my carrier with her and took her grocery shopping and she slept the whole time. She loved it. I was soaked in sweat when it was all said and done, but I was able to accomplish getting grocerys! The kids are so in love with her and so are me and Chad. When she is ready to go to sleep she nuzzles her little face right into my neck and passes out. I love that she loves that spot! She is growing way to fast and I want her to stay little forever!
