First ever RECITAL!

These cute girls had their first ever recital in May. They had several opportunities to get all dolled up for pictures and then again for 2 performances! Gosh they are pretty!!
And OOOOOHHH my goodness these girls had a blast getting dressed up!

Mollie, Annabelle, Bri, and Brightyn are such good buddies and we have LOTS of posed pictures!!

Before one of the recitals we got the 3 girls together and got them all ready together at Emilys. It was so fun!
 Pose, and pose!

The night of the recital was exciting!! The girls did so good! And Bri just smiled as big as she could!
 look at those darling girls!

Mollie did awesome as well! She is so flexible and it was fun to see how much she grew over the short time she was in gym. She is the last one doing the back bend walk.

A few flowers for the girls for a great performance!

G&G Reed even came to watch!!

 The girls with GPA
Had so much fun doing dance and Brielle is looking forward to the next time she can dance!!

Mothers Day

Another Mother's Day has come and gone! I've now been a mother for almost 10 years! I'm still not quite sure I've got it all figured out. And when I think I do, another learning curve ball is sent at me! BUT I'm so grateful that these kids are patient with my learning. And especially when I have to learn the same lesson over and over. They still love me when I make mistakes or get frustrated.
They were extra excited to get up and make me breakfast and shower me with some gifts! Chad surprised me with tickets to Pentatonix and I was VERY excited!

And being a mom of course wouldn't happen without this amazing dad. I'm so grateful that he will come home and be Mr. Mom when I need him to be. He is not afraid to dig in and do the mom work if I need his help. He's such a good guy and teaches me lots of lessons in patience and kindness too. If If I look like I have it together as a mom, alot of it is attributed to this guy. He's my rock.
I recently found out that another sister in law is becoming a mom! And it brought tears to my eyes knowing how rewarding it is and excited that she will soon get to experience that. My successes are my childrens successes and their failures, also mine. I'm glad we have each other to go through this crazy, scary, busy thing we call life! Love you kiddos!

My best friends wedding

I was over the moon when my BFF from my childhood days all through college called me and told me she was engaged! I was so happy that her time had finally come! She has married off lots of friends, me included, and done so much for each one of them. So I of course said I would be there!!

I was invited to her bridal shower and it was so good to see her and and her mom and sisters and meet her fun new family! It was a lovely day! And it made me happy that people still asked if we were sisters. We got that alot all growing up!

A few weeks later they were married and her wedding was so beautiful and perfect. Her husband, Shawn, is a super nice guy and I was glad we got a chance to meet him before the wedding.
Aub looked so stunning! And everything went perfectly. As she walked down the isle I burst into tears! It was surprisingly emotional for me but it was all happy tears!

we stayed for a taco and ice cream bar and our little girls met the flower girl and became buddies really quick.

Mollie and Benson who are just a few days apart got to reunite. He is Aubreys nephew and they met when they were babies! Maybe a date in the future guys!?
I am SO happy for these two! I love them both so much and wish them the best!!

DLI performance

We seriously love the DLI program our kids are in. I love that it teaches them to love other cultures so young. And it is so incredible how fast they learn! Carters teacher told me at PTC that he is a great student but he is always getting in trouble for talking. They can ONLY speak in Portuguese in class even when they are talking to a friend. So she said its not a totally awful thing because it shows he is becoming proficient in the language! This years party was outside and lots of fun to watch.

Carter's teacher Professora Reis
Carter is wearing blue next to the girl in the white dress who was his partner for the dance (who also kissed him this last year!!)

You could tell they were all a little embarrassed but that they were having fun.
Mollie's little dance was adorable in these cute hats. She did so good and it looked like they all had fun!

So much fun! And so proud of my kids!

Zoo day with the littles

I realized one day that I don't do alot of the things I did with my younger kids as I did with my older kids. We used to take them to zoos, parks, fairs, you name it, we went. So I decided it was time for a zoo day with my little girls. They are the ones who REALLY love animals so i knew they'd love it. We grabbed some friends and headed to Hogle Zoo!

Brielle, Brightyn, and Annabelle are quite the little trio. They were adorable posing on anything and everything possible!

The gorilla was moving around like crazy and we could get pretty close! They are so huge and massive! And this mamma and baby monkey were just adorable!

The polar bear exhibit has always been my favorite! Its so fun to watch him swim right in front of your nose and do lots of tricks!

Whatever this was was cool too!
I'm so glad that all my kids have found really good friends at such young ages. They are so cute!

Love these girls. Hope they are friends for life!!!
