Circus

I was beyond excited when a friend offered us free circus tickets! Chad was working late and after our stressful science fair week we needed some fun! So off to the circus we went without Chad. Its always so amazing even if I've seen the acts before.
The 2 new acts were this transfomer that had some problems so I don't think we saw the whole act and then some Jurrasic Park raptors!
We packed a few treats and some of them colored tongues very brightly!

We were so happy to attend with friends! Billie, Karen, Gillian, and Alex's family were there! So fun! I loved watching the kids faces.

 Always love the elephants.

Thanks Alex for the super fun night!!!!

I hate the science fair

Ok, not really. It was our first one. And in true hymas fashion it had to be awesome! It took alot of blood sweat and tears to get Carter's dream come to life. But I'm so glad he has such an awesome dad who was willing to help him do it! He spent so much time on it with him. Grandpa Reed helped in the early stages too. He had dreams of making electricity to light a lego house.

He did plenty of work on it too and loved using power tools.
The first model failed because the magnets weren't strong enough. So Amazon came to the rescue for some heavy duty ones. Then this baby was born.

And just like that with a turn of the handle, his house would light up!

I was in charge of the poster part. It was a painful few weeks but we finished it just in time!

And we were extremely proud of him for sticking with it and finishing it. Next years projects will be MUCH simpler!

Grandparent farewell!

We left on a Saturday to head to Moore to attend Clyde and Evelyn's mission farewell in Moore! They will be heading to the MTC on Jan 27th! It was so fun to have most of the Hymas family gathered together. It's been a while! Saturday night was a family party!
They rented the new community center to play games and have dinner. So fun! We played and ate well into the evening and the kids ran around and stuffed treats in their mouths and played with cousins. Chad made a kahoot with family facts and that was fun. There was pinochle and aggravation, golf and catching up! It was a really fun evening!
Sunday was a very special day and Clyde and Evelyn both gave beautiful talks. I bawled through most of it! Afterwards we went back to the rec center for a brunch for friend and family. Here's Chad with most of his family. Chris couldn't make it.
 Mom and the boys.

Look at this posterity! We are probably still missing about 20 people though!

While goodbye hugs were being given and we were cleaning up, Aunt Ann brought sun catchers for everyone! My girls cherish them so much! They make rainbows for their rooms!
And you can't have a Hymas get together without a game of Red Rover. It was hard to pull the kids apart. They have SO much fun together. Love these cute cousins!

They somehow squeezed in plenty of TV time too!

Then THIS happened! Shane is crazy!!! And so hilarious. He decided he was hot and jumped into the snow half naked! CRAZY guy!!! I got some great shots of it.
In January, you can only expect to have half the people having coughs or colds. So nightly we gathered and chugged Emergen-c together. Here's to health! Almost everyone left with a cold.
 Ry and grandpa.
I always love it when I get a chance to know Chad's sisters better. The adults had to squish for everyone to fit on the couches but it was fun. I snapped this pic with Ann and Cami because I probably have none with them!

GIRLS!

It's not often I can get a lunch date with my Brielley! So we dropped Rylee of at school and went to Wendy's! She was so excited because being a middle child, this is rare. She has such a fun personality and is just so cute.
And I can't forget my other girls! We escaped for a shopping evening at Hobby Lobby and it was so fun! We were loud and silly and had so many good laughs! We also went to Ross! Alex and I found the same sweater and we both wanted it so after a quick photo opp, we both bought the sweater! CUUUUTE!!

Grateful for my girlfriends who keep me sane and give me lots of good belly laughs!

Mesquite Presidents Cup

We always love to go down south to play soccer! We were hoping it would be a little warmer and it was, but still VERY cold! We loved the beautiful drive through the gorge to get to Mesquite but I did get car sick. Poor Tony's kids got car sick coming too! The kids love seeing palm trees.
 Lots of cool rock formations.
And CUTE kids to snuggle with.
One of our best players got the flu on her way down and that was too bad. The girls played so hard and we played teams that were ranked above us. We lost all but 1 and somehow that gave us 3rd.
I love seeing how the girls have progressed each winter!
If I remember right, Mol had 1 goal.
I arranged some team building activities after one of the games. We went to the local rec center. The kids could swim, play foosball or ping pong or racketball. I think most everyone had fun. But I didn't realize that Mesquite is a place people go for retirement and it was full of old people who were glaring at us! Ooops. Everyone brought a snack and the girls had a brunch there too.

After one of the games we hit up Thunder Junction! The best park ever! The sun came out and the weather was actually really nice! We had a picnic and just played the afternoon away.

 Soccer nails for good luck!
It was good to see Tony's family and get to spend some time with cousins! The kids loved chasing Roman around.
At the end of the tournament, Coach gave away 3 game balls and Mollie got one of them! He told them he'd be watching for who played the hardest. I was so proud of her.
 Lola and Mollie!
The gold team with coach Cameron.
We had a great time! I hope if we go back it'll be warmer though!!!!
