Carter's last game actually got moved because of weather so he had his banquet before the game. But it worked out. We had won most every game this season and beat the team we were playing twice. We had the championship game in the bag or so we thought.
The other coach had his kid on the roster all season but he never played because he was on a traveling comp team. BUT all of a sudden he showed up to pitch for this last championship game. He was throwing super fast balls the boys couldn't even swing at! We ended up losing. So many parents and boys were upset. But the boys held their heads high as they accepted their 2nd place awards.
It was neat to see how they did it with the teams lined up on the diamond.
Way to go Carter! You're #1 in my book!
We were so glad his buds Spencer, Brandt and Brody were on his team. Best team and coach and season ever! Carter really learned alot and really enjoyed playing!
I'm grateful to good coaches who help these young boys learn to love sports and how to take chances and improve. We've been on the flip side of not so good coaches which has really made me appreciate the good ones. I really am grateful for the people who are part of my village who help raise my kids and teach them things I can't.
